WBO Belted Yomar Álamo in Puerto Rico

Le programme WBO Kids Drug Free continue d'avoir un impact sur les enfants portoricains

Dans une ambiance festive et familiale, l'Organisation mondiale de boxe (WBO), grâce à son programme réussi WBO Kids Drug Free, vélos livrés, fournitures scolaires et articles de sport aux enfants de Cubuy dans la ville de Canóvanas, Puerto Rico.

L'événement a été dirigé par le président de la WBO Francisco ‘Paco’ Valcárcel, Esq, entraîneur Jésus ‘Chuito’ Ayala, et l'arbitre José H. Rivera.

“Chaque jour, nous travaillons avec les enfants pour être champions du monde sur le ring ou, plus important, dans la vie. Nous travaillons pour être discipliné à vie. Nous remercions la WBO d'avoir aidé dans ce processus avec leurs activités pour les enfants, qui sont l'avenir", a déclaré l'entraîneur Ayala.

Le président de la WBO, Valcárcel, a dit à tout le monde présenter que “le travail que tout le monde fait ici est formidable. Grâce à des gens comme "Chuito", qui travaillent très dur et sans égoïsme pour le bien de la enfants, qui sont notre priorité. Ici, nous leur offrons des cadeaux qu'ils peuvent emporter à la maison parce qu'ils se sont bien comportés. S'ils respectent leurs aînés, comporte toi bien, et respecter leurs parents, les Trois Rois arriveront".

Les participants à l'événement étaient intérimaires Champion latino WBO des poids lourds Víctor Bisbal, WBO Latino Jr. Poids welter champion Jean Carlos « Lobo » Torres, WBO/NABO Jr. Champion poids mouche Wilfredo "Bimbito" Mendez, WBO Latino Jr. Champion des poids coq Yenifel Vicente, et WBO Le champion latino des poids plumes Luis "Popeye" Lebrón. WBO Kids Drug Free est une organisation internationale programme destiné aux enfants et aux jeunes afin de véhiculer un message de drogue prévention et les motiver à poursuivre leurs études, utiliser le sport comme un outil pour rester sur le droit chemin, ainsi que soutenir des causes dirigées vers ceux qui en ont besoin afin d'assurer une meilleure qualité de vie.

MAQUEREAU, Puerto Rico – Dans une activité de Noël émouvante et chargée, l'Organisation mondiale de boxe (WBO) et son président Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, accompagné d'anciens champions du monde, perspectives, WBO Monde Jr. Champion poids mouche Angel Acosta, champions régionaux, et d'autres personnalités du sport livraient des cadeaux aux enfants au Centre Sor Isolina Ferré à Ponce, as part of the successful world ‘WBO Kids Drug Free’ program.

An emotional Sister Mildred Vázquez, Spiritual Director of the centers of Puerto Rico, dit: “The WBO and Paco Valcárcel have been committed to us for around 20 years.There are many gifts that will be distributed to the other centers that we have in Puerto Rico. Since day one, which was a long time ago, I remember that Paco told us that the WBO was never going to forget us. His deed is very important for all of us. We will never forget the great help you gave us then Hurricane María hit us hard; we are very grateful”.

Rivera, Edwin “ChinValentín, and amateur boxer Bryan Rodríguez.

Also in the event were boxing managers Margaro Cruz, coaches JesúsTongui” Ortiz, Ángel Vargas, YoelYowy” González, and Félix Pagán Pintor, referees José Hiram Rivera and Ramón Peña; professional boxing judge César Ramos. Pour la WBO, other than Valcárcel, conseiller juridique Gustavo Olivieri, WBO Treasurer Adolfo Flores, and WBO Chairman Ratings Committee Edgardo López Sasso were also present.

WBO Kids Drug Free is an international program aimed at children and young people in order to carry a message of prevention to the use of drugs and to motivate them to continue studying, using sports as a tool to stay on good steps, as well supporting causes aimed at those in need in order to contribute to a better quality of life.

WBO SUR SAUNDERS-ANDRADE

 

 

World Boxing Organization (WBO) Le président Francisco Valcárcel Mulero a commenté aujourd'hui l'incapacité de Billy Joe Saunders à défendre son championnat du monde des poids moyens, conformément à l'accord contractuel, contre Demetrius Andrade le 20 octobre.

 

Ceci après que la Commission sportive de l'État du Massachusetts a voté aujourd'hui contre l'octroi d'une licence de boxe à la suite d'un test de dopage raté le 30 août..

 

“Il est dommage qu'un boxeur aussi talentueux que Saunders soit confronté à cette polémique et ne puisse pas défendre le titre,” dit Valcarcel aujourd'hui. “La WBO examinera la situation avec une diligence raisonnable et procédera conformément à ses «Règles & Les règlements déterminent quelle est la bonne marche à suivre”.

 

Valcárcel, un avocat en exercice, a ajouté que si Andrade combat le premier concurrent disponible, le comité du championnat WBO envisagera de sanctionner le combat.

Président de la WBO, Francisco «Paco» Valcárcel, Esq a réagi à Billy Joe Saunders’ commentaires publics concernant son statut de titre mondial:

 

«B.J. Saunders a volontairement quitté le titre WBO Middleweight, et s'est publiquement excusé pour sa violation des règlements antidopage de la Commission des sports du Massachusetts ".

 

"Par conséquent, l'affrontement entre Demetrius Andrade et Walter Kautondonkwa prévu pour le 20 octobre sera désormais pour la couronne mondiale vacante ».

 

"Aussi, Je recommanderai au Comité exécutif de la WBO que Saunders reçoive une suspension de six mois pour sa transgression ».

WBO News: Wilfredo Gómez crowned ‘Honorific Champion’ of the World Boxing Organization

In a crowed activity held in Arecibo, l'Organisation mondiale de boxe (WBO), with the collaboration of former world champion Samuel ‘El Torbellino’ Serrano, brought together several former Puerto Rican world champions along with currents boxers to recognize the trajectory of former three-division world champion Wilfredo ‘Bazooka’ Gómez.

 

 

 

Had the WBO existed in the Gómez era, he would have been our champion. But we still celebrate him because of his legacy in the ring and his great humility as a person. This belt that we preset to him today names him a WBO ‘Honorific Champion of Champions’, yet it is only a small sample of the affection and admiration that we have for him,” said WBO president Francisco ‘Paco’ Valcárcel.

Gómez won the gold medal in the first amateur world championships, held in Havana in 1974. He then jumped to the professional ranks and won world titles at 122, 126 et 130 livres. He retired with a professional record of 44-3-1 avec 42 victoires par KO, and is considered one of the best fighters of all time.
