Man on Fire: “Hot Rod” Annihilates Domingos in Lakeland!
Lakeland, FL (October 11, 2015) – Undefeated light heavyweight Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic wasted no time in getting rid of Brazilian power puncher Gilberto Domingos yesterday evening at the Florida Orange Event Center in Lakeland.
Headlining Mad Integrity Fight Sports’ “Bombs Away 4,” Kalajdzic had a vocal group of supporters backing him and was on the attack from the opening bell. Kalajdzic connected with quick punches to Domingos’ mid section, hurting him just seconds into the fight. A visibly hurt Domingos unsuccessfully attempted to move and tighten his guard, finding himself on the canvas courtesy of a stinging combination. Moments later, the popular Saint Petersburg, FL resident unleashed another combination to deck Domingos for a second time, mercifully forcing the stoppage at 1:32 in the first of a scheduled eight rounds.
“He left his body open and I knew if I connected he’d go down,” said Kalajdzic, who moved up to cruiserweight for this fight to accommodate Domingos and is now 20-0 with 13 wins by knockout. “It feels great to fight (close to home) and I would love to keep fighting here. I don’t care who I fight as long as the money is right, but I’ll let (my promoter) Lou DiBella handle that.”
Domingos returns to Sao Paulo, Brazil with a record of 24-4 (21 KO’s).
In the co-feature, hometown favorite Leanthony “Tyga” Fleming won a competitive decision against a very game Randy Hedderick. Coming in at a fit and ready 146.2 lbs, Fleming showed good movement ring generalship, leading with his jab throughout the bout. Hedderick wasn’t intimidated by fighting on the road and effectively pressured the Lakeland native in spurts.
Scores were 40-36 and 39-37 twice. Fleming is now 1-1 while his Gulfport, MS based foe slips to 0-5.
Miami’s Armando “The Gentleman” Alvarez, 8-0 (4 KO’s) dominated grizzled veteran Juan Aguirre, 6-16-1, of Jacksonville, FL. The long and lean Alvarez consistently connected with sharp punches, maintaining an impressive pace throughout the six round junior middleweight contest. Aguirre, who took many clean punches, was never in serious danger of being stopped and displayed a great chin.
All three judges scored the contest 60-54.
In the fight of the night, Clearwater, FL’s Alex Nicholson scored a dramatic second round knockout of fellow debuting heavyweight Joseph White. Nicholson, who was outweighed by 40 pounds, nearly dropped White for the count at the end of the first but the Miamian made it back to his feet a split second before the bell sounded. In the second, White temporarily turned the tides by rocking Nicholson. Damaged but not defeated, Nicholson unleashed a vicious hook that put White down for the count at 2:24.
In other undercard bouts, junior lightweight Michael Guillen twice dropped and dominated Curtis Vert, while Wytama Faulk edged out Clark Brightwell in a lightweight contest.
Prior to the main event, Mad Integrity Fight Sports presented a birthday cake to close friend and junior middleweight contender “Silky” Wilky Campfort while recognizing notable fighters in attendance including uncrowned junior lightweight champion Edner Cherry. Fans were also treated to an outstanding rendition of the national anthem by American Idol finalist Jeremy Rosado.
“Everybody in attendance had a good time,” said Joey Orduna of Mad Integrity Fight Sports. “We had exciting bouts and some outstanding performances by talented up and coming fighters. There has been a lot of activity in Central Florida as of late and we look forward to continue promoting in this area.”

Lakeland, FL (October 5, 2015) – Rising light heavyweight Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic faces his toughest test to date when he meets cement-fisted Gilberto “El Magico” Domingos Saturday, October 10 in the main event of Mad Integrity Fight Sports’ “Bombs Away 4” at the Florida Orange Event Center in Lakeland.

Mad Integrity Fight Sports is also hosting a special birthday and victory celebration for junior middleweight contender “Silky” Wilky Campfort, who knocked out Ronald Montes in two rounds September 18 on Bounce TV.
Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Domingos will trek more than 4,000 miles to face Kalajdzic. The 29-year-old has an excellent 23-3 professional ledger with 21 of his victories coming by knockout. A fighter at heart, Domingos competed between light heavyweight and heavyweight, traveling thousands of miles to challenge unbeaten Arnold Gjergjaj and world rated “Bronco” Billy Wright.
Residing in St. Petersburg, FL, Kalajdzic emigrated from Bosnia in 1998. He’s a perfect 19-0 with 12 wins by knockout and outpointed well regarded Lionell Thompson last year in what was his biggest win to date. Having recently signed with promoter Lou DiBella, Kalajdzic’s aiming to dominate but will have to fight smart against his heavy handed foe.
“Domingos has an impressive record and is a vicious puncher” said Joey Orduna of Mad Integrity Fight Sports. “He’s fought as a heavyweight and knocked out multiple fighters up there. Hot Rod is looking to prove that he’s amongst the best young fighters out there and the fans will be in for a treat with this exciting match up on Saturday evening.”
The Kalajdzic-Domingos fight is scheduled for eight rounds and will take place at a catch weight of 185 lbs.

Born in Bosnia, Kalajdzic moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1998 and has called it his home ever since. Best known simply as “Hot Rod”, the 24-year-old made his professional debut in 2011 following a brief amateur career and has been nothing short of sensational. A talented boxer-puncher with plenty of god-given ability, Kalajdzic is 19-0 with 12 wins by knockout and holds impressive victories over former contender Otis Griffin as well as Lionel Thompson.
Kalajdzic will face an opponent to be named shortly and the bout is presented in association with DiBella Entertainment.

Wauchula, FL’s Ruben “Chino” Ozuna is slated to meet hard-nosed veteran Bobby Hill of Mississippi in the semi-main event of the evening. Ozuna, 4-1, has a fan friendly style and will have a large group of supporters backing him for this lightweight contest. One of boxing’s true tough guys, Hill’s faced a number of top fighters during his 28 fight career.

Cruiserweight Paul “Pay Per View” Parker of Toledo, OH returns to the ring in a special attraction bout against an opponent TBA. Parker’s last two wins came via stoppage against foes with a combined 12-1 record but he is looking to rebound from a June TKO defeat to Vyacheslav Shabranskyy.
In four round undercard bouts, Rafael “Junito” Rivera of Tampa faces Orlando’s Cleveland McClean, Quincy, FL’s Leonardo Kenon squares off against Georgia native Greg Faust and hometown favorite Leanthony “Tyga” Fleming of Lakeland will test his talents versus Randy Heddrick of Louisiana. Tori “Ruthless” Ramirez, Christina Swanson-Campfort, Michael Guillen, “King” Kenmon Evans and Ricky “Cowboy” Tomlinson will all appear against opponents to be announced.

In the main event of the evening, lightweight prospect Ruben “Chino” Ozuna battles 28 fight veteran Bobby Hill of Mississippi. Ozuna, 4-1, is fresh off a thrilling slugfest with Yasmani Calzadilla where he came off the canvas to grind out a decision. The popular Wauchula, FL native is going for his fourth straight victory and will do so in front of a large group of supporters. Best defined as fearless, Hill’s battled many notable fighters including world champion Jose Benavidez, Mason Menard, Antonio Capulin, Bahodir Mamadjonov, Devonte Williams, Rashad Ganaway and Karim Martinez among others.

TAMPA (August 26, 2015) — The inaugural Team Tarver Back-To-School-Drive was a major hit last week at Layla’s House (www.LaylasHouse.com) in Tampa, Florida.
Five-time world champion and world heavyweight contender, Antonio “The Magic Man” Tarver (31-6-1, 22 KOs), his son, unbeaten junior middleweight prospect Antonio Tarver, Jr. (3-0, 2 KOs), and some other Team Tarver members distributed school supplies last Thursday to underprivileged children in Tarver’s hometown of Tampa.

“There’s nothing better than seeing smiles on the faces of young children,” Tarver said. “I believe it’s important to give back in your community. We were able to provide them with essential supplies like book-bags, pencils, and notebooks. Hopefully, they feel better about themselves, attending school, and getting a good education.”
