Perrella to face Martin December 8 on FS1

Fort Myers, FL (Nobyembre 30, 2017) – Welterweight Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella returns to the ring against Alex “Chi Town Heat” Martin Biyernes, Disyembre 8 at Hialeah Park in Miami, FL.
The Perrella-Martin showdown is scheduled for 10 rounds and airs on FS1 at 9 PM ET as part of Premier Boxing Champions’ “PBC on FS1” serye. The bout proceeds a light heavyweight matchup between former world champion Jean Pascal and unbeaten Ahmed Elbiali.
Fighting for the first time since a disappointing setback against Yordenis Ugas in September 2016, Perrella’s an outstanding 14-1 may 13 panalo sa pamamagitan ng knockout. Sullivan, who began his run in CWF during the early 1970s, was also a key player in the 1980s as he and his followers joined “The Darkside.” Kevin went on to book CWF in the 1980’s before going on to perform in the NWA & WCW, where he is also known for booking WCW during The Lunes Night Wars.

 

James J. Dillon rose to CWF prominence in 1975 as a wrestler, holding multiple championships in the state before returning as a Manager in the early 80’s and booking CWF for some time. He gained greater fame when he went to the NWA and become the Manager for the legendary “Four Horsemen”. JJ also played huge behind the scenes rolls in both WWE & WCW Talent Management. In addition to Sullivan & Dillon, other CWF Favorites at this event will be Rocky Johnson, Brian Blair, Tony Marino, & Sherri Lee.

 

At the end of the Fanfest portion of this event, we will again honor CWF Legends with a special award ceremony and induction into the CWF Hall Of Fame. Honorees include the man widely considered as the greatest wrestling announcer in the history of the business, Gordon Solie, as well as the top heel in the formation of CWF (and widely considered one of the top heels ever in pro wrestling), The Great Malenko. The friends and families of Mr. Solie and Mr. Malenko will be in attendance to honor these two heroes of CWF! This special CWF HOF award ceremony is open to all in attendance at the Fanfest!

Heavyweight Factory Team, Including Newest Signee Ivan Dychko, Provide Thousands of Meals to Miami Victims of Hurricane Irma

This past weekend in Miami, Heavyweight Factory Gym Founder, Kris Lawrence, and a group of their prominent fighters, which included recently signed two-time Olympic Super Heavyweight Bronze Medallist Ivan Dychko, opened their hearts to the victims of Hurricane Irma by holding a free barbecue.
Over two 10-hour shifts sa Sabado at Linggo, the group cooked and served over 2500 pieces of chicken, 1000 sausages, 800 racks of ribs, as well as baked beans and potato salad, to a hungry community still feeling the effects of the devastating hurricane.
Standing 6′ 9″ tall, Kazakhstan’s Dychko was an imposing sight at first, but quickly warmed the hearts of locals with his warm smile and tireless efforts to help. Despite the oppressive heat, he and former heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe, who also volunteered his time, posed for hundreds of pictures between servings.
“Ivan was amazing,” said Heavyweight Factory Director of Boxing, Henry Rivalta. “He hung in there while the sun was brutal. His desire to stay with us and make sure the neighborhood was fed was just awesome.”

Well-known for being very giving to the needy, Lawrence is active with several charities and, every Christmas, loads a 40-foot container with toys and distributes them to children on the streets of his native Liberty City.

“Giving back to the community gave our team a chance to join together and provide nice warm meals, which have been hard to find, due to the circumstances of Hurricane Irma,” continued Rivalta.
Dychko, a heavily decorated amateur, was also a two-time world amateur championships silver medallist. He and trainer Derek Santos are hard at work at the Heavyweight Factory for his highly anticipated professional debut on Setyembre 28 in Kentucky.

The second of Warriors Boxing’s series of Miami-area fights designed to develop local and international prospects, NORS 2 will feature popular and talented light heavyweight Robert Daniels Jr. (2-0, 2 Kos) of Miami looking to remain perfect in the light heavyweight division.
24-year-old southpaw light heavyweight Robert Daniels Jr. is the son of former cruiserweight world champion Robert “Preacherman” Daniels, the only Miami-born fighter to hold a major world title.
Daniels Jr. started boxing at 10 years old and went 64-6 as an amateur boxer. Among his many accolades, he won the Sunshine State Games twice, the State title twice, the Platinum Gloves, the Junior Olympic regionals.
A boxer/puncher with excellent counter-punching skills, Daniels is trained by former world champion John David Jackson.
Also scheduled for action are undefeated super welterweight John David “Kahanga-Boy” Martinez (6-0, 5 Kos) of Miami in a six-round battle; undefeated Miami welterweight Chris Velez (7-0-1, 4 Kos) sa isang anim rounder; and undefeated bantamweight Lawrence Newton (6-0, 4 Kos) of Boynton Beach, Plorida, will fight a six-rounder.

Returning to the ring after a disputed defeat to Ruslan Chagaev in a 2014 away pamagat, Oquendo is co-promoted by future Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr.’s Square Ring Promotions and Hitz Boxing as he looks to become the first heavyweight champion from Puerto Rico since John Ruiz in 2001.
“This will be a great fight between two veteran American fighters,” Si said Oquendo. “I’ve fought in Miami five times, pa, I train at the historic 5th Street Gym in Miami Beach, so I’m very comfortable here. Representing the boxing hotbed of Brooklyn, Briggs (60-6-1, 53 Kos) seeks the third heavyweight world title in his long and eventful career. Briggs became a world champion in 2006 when he scored a 12th round stoppage of Siarhei Liakhovich. Briggs has faced the best heavyweights in the world and won the lineal heavyweight world title from George Foreman in 1997. He also defeated Ray Mercer in 2005, in addition to world title challenges of Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko. He enters this fight as the winner of his last nine contests, including eight knockouts and a 12-round decision over Raphael Zumbano Love.
Originally from Puerto Rico and fighting out of Chicago throughout his pro career, Oquendo (37-8, 24 Kos)looks to capitalize on his fourth opportunity and capture a world title. The slick-boxer has faced a slew of top heavyweights throughout his career, including narrow decision losses to Evander Holyfield and James Toney, plus title challenges of Chris Byrd and John Ruiz. The 44-year-old owns recent victories over Derric Rossy and Joey Abell in addition to triumphs over Clifford Etienne, David Izon and Javier Mora.

Sa Sabado, Nobyembre 5, 2016, Warriors Boxing will present “Night of the Rising Stars,” a unique evening of professional boxing amid the all-out party atmosphere of Florida’s #1 Concert/Club Venue in the State, Club Cinema in Pompano Beach, Plorida, and featuring many of South Florida’s brightest up-and-coming prospects, as well as many surprises and special guests.
The boxing celebration will be headlined by a quintet of Florida fighters, JD “Kahanga-Boy” Martinez (1-0), Daniel “Raspy” Placeres (2-0, 1 KO), Chasity Martin (3-0, 1 KO), Anthony Martinez (para sa pasinaya) and Robert Daniels Jr. (para sa pasinaya) in separate four-round bouts.

“My goal is to do it smart in boxing,” Si said Martinez. “My father and uncle fought undefeated lions in their first 10 fights. I think if they build me up correctly I can be a local attraction. I’m very excited to be fighting in front of so many friends and family.”

30-year-old junior middleweight Anthony Martinez nagpunta 22-3 as an amateur boxer, winning the Florida Golden Gloves and State Championships. A natural to boxing, Martinez’s in-ring patience and technical skill combined with above-average power make him a strong candidate for success in the professional game.
“I feel excited and anxious about turning pro,” Si said Martinez. “I’m thrilled to be having my first pro fight. A lot of people said I had a pro style, so yeah, I want this more than anything.”
23-year-old southpaw super middleweight Robert Daniels Jr. is the son of former cruiserweight world champion Robert “Preacherman” Daniels, the only Miami-born fighter to hold a major world title. Daniels Jr. started boxing at 10 years old and went 64-6 as an amateur boxer. Among his many accolades, he won the Sunshine State Games twice, the State title twice, the Platinum Gloves, the Junior Olympic regionals. A boxer/puncher with excellent counter-punching skills, Daniels is trained by former world champion John David Jackson.

19-year-old super featherweight Chasity “The Queen of Pompano Beach” Martin had a stellar amateur boxing career, where she was ranked #1 in Florida and #3 in the country while winning the 2015 Sunshine State Games, the Junior Silver Gloves, the State Junior Olympics, and the Florida Golden Gloves. She is trained by former Mike Tyson trainer, Stacy McKinley, at Gold’s Gym in Deerfield Beach.
Promoter Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing says he hopes “Night of the Rising Stars” becomes a series of shows in South Florida.

Perrella giving back to Fort Myers with Goodfella’s Great Students

Fort Myers, FL (Agosto 21, 2016) – Unbeaten welterweight knockout artist Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella and Team Perrella are proud to announce they’ll give back to Fort Myers through an initiative called “Goodfella’s Great Students.”
Created by Perrella, “Goodfella’s Great Students” provides an additional incentive for students to excel in the classroom. Each month, Perrella and head trainer Michael Nowling will dedicate time to standout students selected by school administration. The selected pupils will receive personal invites and get transported to and from Syndicate Boxing Club, where they’ll participate in a fun workout run by Perrella and Nowling. Sa kasalukuyan, Coronado High School is signed up for the free program and multiple schools have expressed serious interest in joining.
