 6′ 4 ½ Pulev, fighting at home in Sofia, בולגריה, captured the vacant WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title in his last fight this past December, in which former world champion Samuel Peters (36-5) retired after the third round. בחודש מאי האחרון, Pulev won a 12-round split decision over Dereck Chisora (25-5) to capture the European heavyweight championship.  ג'ונסון, 37, has served as a dangerous “שוער” in the heavyweight division during his 14-year professional career.
