Junior Featherweight Arnold Khegai Stays Undefeated with TKO 2 over Africa’s Mudde Ntambi

Ethnic Korean, Ukrainian-born junior featherweight slugger Arnold Khegai stayed undefeated on Sunday, Agosto 19, with an impressive two-round stoppage over Uganda’s Mudde Robinson Ntambi at the Korston Club Hotel Moscow, en Moscú, Rusia.

 

 

 

The IBF #13-rated Khegai (13-0-1, 9 KOs) utilized his monstrous strength and power to score two knockdowns in the second round, sending Ntambi (23-6-1, 7 KOs) through the ropes and forcing the referee to stop the fight.

 

 

 

The 26-year-old Khegai says he was pleased with his performance and fees ready to climb another run of the ladder to a world championship.

In the opening bout of SHOWTIME BOXING INTERNATIONAL, lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury shut out Francesco Pianeta to line up a 2018 showdown with WBC Heavyweight World Champion Deontay Wilder.

Frampton (26-1, 15 KOs) turned in an impressive performance and scored his first knockout as a featherweight in what was a “dream” homecoming fight at the home of Northern Irish football. The former 126 and 122-pound champion now has his sights set at becoming a champion yet again in one of boxing’s deepest divisions.

Frampton’s first defense of the WBO interim belt he won in April will stream live exclusively to U.S. audiences on the SHOWTIME Boxing Facebook page and SHOWTIME Sports YouTube channel beginning at 3:30 p.m. Y/12:30 p.m. PT. SHOWTIME will air an encore presentation later that evening on SHOWTIME EXTREME® (10 p.m. ET / PT).

 

 

 

An expected 25,000 fans in Frampton’s hometown will witness the first boxing event at the home of Northern Irish football. The former IBF, WBA and WBO champion Fury (26-0, 19 KOs) returned to the ring in June and will fight for the second time in less than 75 days following a nearly three-year layoff. Prior to his extended hiatus, the 6-foot-9 Fury established himself as the premier heavyweight boxer in the world by becoming the first man to defeat Wladimir Klitschko in more than 11 año.

“I study my heavyweights and I know Francesco has fought some very good men. He had a very good winning spree, he was 28-0 when he fought Klitschko. I’m not underestimating Francesco. I know he’s a very big, strong fellow and he knows if he wins this fight then he can go on to fight (Deontay) Wilder instead of me. It’s all to play for.

 

 

 

“In heavyweight boxing, if you take your eye off the goal for ten seconds you’re out of there. If I don’t do what I think I can do, then I’ll get chinned in about ten seconds and it will be, ‘See you later Tyson Fury and hello Francesco Pianeta.’

 

 

 

“Southpaws are a lot more awkward because there’s less of them in the division. You don’t get too much work with southpaws other than when you’re fighting with them. It’s hard to get southpaws to spar in training because there aren’t many heavyweight southpaws around the world. But I do have one interesting fact, every southpaw amateur or professional I’ve ever faced I’ve knocked out. That’s not good for Francesco.

 

 

 

“To be a two-time heavyweight champion is all right. It’s not great because there’s been plenty. To be a three-time heavyweight champion, it’s been done before. So I think I want to set a precedent of being a five-time heavyweight champion without losing a fight. That’s my goal. I always aim for the stars and set big targets.

 

 

 

“If I can beat Francesco Pianeta on Saturday night, I’ve beaten another boxer. Big deal. But if he beats me, he’s going on to something very big. It would be life-changing for him. It I can’t beat Francesco, then I’m going nowhere.

 

 

 

“I think I’m the greatest heavyweight that’s ever been born, so I should handle Francesco Pianeta. And whoever else is out there, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, all the bums out there.

 

 

 

“It’s very easy to win all the belts back. I’ve only got to beat two bums, fundamentalmente. Wilder and Joshua and that’s it. They both haven’t got a brain cell between them so it shouldn’t be too hard for a great boxer like myself.”

The reigning WBO Intercontinental flyweight champion, Barnes (5-0, 1 KO) will also be fighting at home in Belfast in front of his passionate fan base. One of the greatest Irish amateur boxers of all time, Barnes will be fighting for a world title in only his sixth professional fight. He won two bronze medals (2008 & 2012) in his three trips to the Olympics, as well as gold in the 2019 European Championships.

 

 

 

“This is the fight that defines my boxing career,” Barnes claimed. “There were great achievements as an amateur including Olympic bronze medals, but that is only third place in the world, que es grande. Rakhimov of Ekaterinburg, Russia will be fighting in front of his hometown fans.

The 23-year-old Rakhimov is a three-year professional who already has great victories over Visita Gairabekov (1-0), Mirzhan Zhaxylykov (9-0), Rogelio Jun Doliguez (21-3-2), Jimmy Paypa (19-3-1), and Emanuel Lopez (27-6-1). In his last bout he won the IBO Super Featherweight title with an 8th round stoppage over former world champion Malcolm Klassen on February 10th.

Castellanos of Celaya, Mexico has a deceiving record of 24-13 con 14 nocauts.

The 36-year-old Castellanos is a 16-year professional, who started out slowly by only going 7-9 in his first 16 extremos. Since then he has gone 17-4 with big wins over Alejandro Sanabria (24-0-1), Christopher Perez (19-0), Alberto Garza (23-4-1), Aldimar Silva (12-1), Orlando Rizo (14-2), Miguel Angel Gonzalez (16-3-1), Omar Estrella (16-4-2), former world champion Celestino Caballero (36-4-2), former world title challenger Ronny Rios (22-0), former world title challenger Rocky Juarez, and former world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (26-1).

SAN ANTONIO, TX (Julio 32, 2018) – Prince Ranch boxeo y TMB & PRB Entretenimiento are happy to announce the signing of amateur standout, Ricardo “El Castigo” Medina, a 5-Time National Champion from San Antonio, TX. Medina will be making his debut on September 8, 2018 at the Scottish Rite Theater in San Antonio, Texas.

 

 

 

Medina, who will campaign at featherweight (126 libras.), had a decorated amateur career with an impressive record of (100W-13L). Medina signed a management agreement with Prince Ranch Boxing as well as signed to TMB & PRB Entretenimiento, who will promote his future fights.
