Kennedy (9-0, 5 KOs), fighting out of Galway, Ирландия, by way of Boston, battled Santos in a competitive, action-packed brawl to be awarded the N.E. title by scores of 96-93, 96-93, 93-96. The majority of fans in attendance, outside of Kennedy’s Irish supporters, and the ringside media felt that Santos, аз Лоуренс, MA, had the edge and deserved the decision.

Former three-time title challenger Groves and former champ Chudinov (14-1, 10 KOs) will meet for the vacant WBA Super Middleweight World Championship in a matchup of the WBA’s No. 1 ва Не. 2 challengers in a co-featured bout at Bramall Lane.
