John Thompson reflects on Boxcino semifinal win and looks forward towards the final on May 22

Newark, NJ (Abril 21, 2015)John “Apollo Kidd” Thompson has begun preparations for his Mayo 22 Boxcino final bout against Brandon Adams. (17-1, 12 KO’s).
Ang away ay magaganap sa Biyernes, Mayo 22 sa Corona, California and will live on ESPNBiyernes Night Fights.
Thompson is in Virginia, training under Kay Koroma and he is looking to win the prestigious tournament against Thompson in the 10-round bout at the Omega Products International Outdoor Arena in Corona, California.
Thompson (16-1, 5 KO’s) is coming off a 8-round split decision over previously undefeated Stanyslav Skorokhod on April 10 sa Bethlehem, PA.
I outboxed the guy,” Said Thompson. I focused on what I needed to focus on and that was using my jab. I also focused on not to exchange and bang with him and I did a pretty good job of that.
As well as I fought, I do not think that was even my best win.
Now he looks towards Adams. Adams of Los Angeles has experience in the Boxcino finals as his only loss was to Willie Monroe Jr. in last year’s Middleweight finals.
I am happy to be in the finals. This is an opportunity that will be the uprising of my career,” continued Thompson.
Brandon is a brawler. He will have a few weeks to come up with a strategy to beat me.
Said Thompson’s promoter, Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions, “I believe we are longer, been in tougher and the better boxer. Brandon is a good fighter but I think he is too green. I know he had a brief amateur career and he could be too green for John.
Nagtatampok ang GH3 Mga Promosyon undefeated Middleweight Antoine Douglas, Jerry Odom Super Middleweight ni & Derrick Webster, undefeated Super Bantamweight Adan Lopez pati na rin sa JR. Undefeated junior middleweight
Tony Harrison rolls to 21st manalo

Aquino shocks Kielczweski,

Farmer wins 11ika straight fight

Tony Harrison (L) was too much for Pablo Munguia

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (Abril 17, 2015) – Undefeated junior middleweight Tony Harrison rolled to his 21st straight victory in mamayang gabi na ESPN Biyernes Night Fights pangunahing kaganapan, presented by DiBella Entertainment in association with New Legend Boxing, sa Mohegan Sun Arena.

Harrison (21-0, 18 Kos), fighting out of Detroit, bumaba Pablo Munguia (20-7, 11 Kos) at the end of the second round with a powerful punch. Munguia was examined between rounds by the ring doctor. Tagahatol Arthur Mercante needed only 11 seconds into the next round to determine that the Mexican was unable to be competitive, awarding Harrison a victory by technical knockout.

I’m looking for whoever Al HAYMON puts me in with,” 24-year-old Harrison remarked. “I’m from Detroit. I’ve never said ‘noto an opponent I was offered, which says a lot about me. We have a lot of heart in Detroit. I’m ready for a big fight. I got him with a step-back overhand right. I wish they had let it go a little longer. I wanted to finish him, but the bell went off.

Danny Aquino (L) and Ryan Kielczweski put on a real show

Connecticut fan favorite, Mexican-born Danny Aquino (17-2, 10 Kos), upset previously undefeated Massachusetts featherweight Ryan “Ang Polish Prince” Kielczweski (22-1, 6 Kos) by way of an eight-round split decision in an entertaining co-feature event for New England bragging rights. The aggressive-fighting Aquino kept coming forward throughout the fight, as Kielczweski effectively counter-punched. Neither fighter was remotely hurt in the action-packed clash of gifted boxers.

Aquino defeated Kielczweski the one time they fought in the amateurs. “Because of his record,” Aquino commented, “this was the biggest win of my career. It was extra special winning my first ESPN fight, masyado. I think my aggressiveness was the difference. He was moving around and I had to keep putting pressure on him to make it my fight, not his fight. I hope this fight will give me opportunities and I’ll take the best.

It was definitely a tough fight,” Kielczweski noted. “Making weight definitely took a lot out of me. I think I boxed well, landed the harder shots and blocked most of his. I guess the judges likes his aggression, but I thought I won the fight.

Tevin magsasaka (R) won his 11th fight in a row

Sa opening televised na labanan, Philadelphia junior lightweight TevinAmerican IdolFarmer (19-4-1, 4 Kos) won his 11th straight fight, winning a unanimous eight-round decision over previously unbeaten Angel “Ang Cat” Luna (10-1-1, 6 Kos), ng Brooklyn, in a very competitive fight.

“Pakiramdam ko ay mahusay,” Farmer said after the fight. “That’s exactly what I wanted to show. I wanted to show a lot of different dimensions. TV wants guys who can punch and box, the total package, and I showed that mamayang gabi. I feel that I’m ready for a top 10 contender and showed mamayang gabi that I belong among the best.

Ghanaian southpaw Lennox “2 Sharpe” Allen (19-0-1, 12 Kos), fighting out of New York City, overcame a flash knockdown at the end of round six to knock out a gamePaul Gonsalves (7-7-1, 3 Kos) in the following round. Allen connected with a straight left hand punch that landed flush on the Cape Cod light heavyweight’s chin.

Unbeaten middleweight AlantezSlyAza” Soro (15-0-1, 5 Kos), fighting out of Maryland, outclassed Dominican invader Franklin Gonzalez (16-14, 10 Kos) on his way to a second-round technical knockout, trapping his opponent against the ropes and unloaded a barrage of unanswered punches until referee Harvey Dock halted the action.

Exciting Houston welterweight RegisRougarou” PROGRAMA ran his record to 14-0 (12 Kos), tigil Abraham “Matulin” Alvarez (19-8-1, 9 Kos) sa 1:28 mark of the opening round. The promising southpaw prospect put his Mexican opponent down with a viscous, straight left to the body.

Former U. of New Haven basketball star Cassius Chaney (1-0, 1 KO) had a successful professional debut, pounding Perry Filkins (0-2) until referee Danny Sciavone stopped the fight 41 segundo sa pangalawang ikot.

Unbeaten Florida lightweight Amos “2 Smooth” Cowart used a body attack to stop previously unbeaten Anthony Burgin (8-1, 1 KO), ng Philadelphia, sa ikalimang round.

Fedosov, Dennis, Thomas and Cojanu advance in Boxcino Heavyweight tournament

Fedosov, Cojanu, Dennis and Thomas
Verona, NY (Pebrero 22, 2015)Andrey Fedosov, Donovan Dennis, Lenroy Thomas at Razvan Cojanu all scored victories in their quarterfinal bouts in the Boxcino Heavyweight tournament at the Turning Stone Resort Casino.
The show was promoted by Banner Promotions and was broadcasted live on ESPN’sBiyernes Night Fights.
All Boxcino bouts were scheduled for 6 round.
Dennis took out previously undefeated Steve Vukosa in round four.

Dennis dominating Vukosa
Dennis was the much quicker fighter from the outset and landed hard shots on Vukosa from early on. Sa pag-ikot ng tatlong, Dennis dropped Vukosa from a hard combination. Vukosa was never the same as he was staggered a few more times and even looked like he had no defense as he tried to turn his back several times on Dennis until he was dropped again in the fourth round and the fight was stopped at2:52.
Dennis, 222 lbs of Davenport, Iowa is now 13-2 may 10 knockouts. Vukosa, 218 lbs of Quincy, Massachusetts is now 10-1.
He was a patient fighter and early on, I took what I could get,” said Dennis. “I was working off my jab and started to connect. I trained very hard and I had a lot more in the tank. I was a little mad that it was stopped early. I can’t wait to get back in the gym and work on getting better.
Andrey Fedosov scored an emphatic 1st round stoppage over Nate Heaven
In round one, Fedosov dropped Heaven with a thudding left hook. He sent him to the canvas for a 2nd time with a devastating three punch combination that sent Heaven to the deck for a second time and the fight was stopped at 2:53.

Fedosov knocking Heaven Down
Fedosov of Los Angeles via Russia is now 24-3 may 21 knockouts. Langit, 227 lbs of Ocla, FL. ngayon 9-2.
Everything went as planned,” said Fedosov. “My plan was to shorten the distance and use my power and you see what happened.
Razvan Cojanu won a drawbreaker decision over Ed Fountain.
