Las Vegas (May 11, 2016) – A potentially explosive, highly entertaining “Knockout Night at the D” undercard has been announced for Saturday nox, May 21, airing (8 p.m. PT / 11 p.m. ATQUE) vivere CBS Sports Network from under the neon lights at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) outdoor venue.
The “Knockout Night at the D” series, presented by D Las Vegasand DLVEC, promotus est per Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions. The May 21st event is promoted in association with Main Events and Shamo Boxing Promotions.
Undefeated Russian middleweight Arif “Predator Omnibus in” Magomedov (17-0, 10 KOs) squares off against upset specialist Andrew “Procellae” Hernandez (11-4-1, 3 KOs), de Phoenix, X in pelagus eventus circum. Magomedov is world ranked among the top 15 160-pounders by the four major sanctioning bodies: WBC #2, WBO #3, WBA #5 and IBF #14.

Haney (infra picta) is a 7-time national amateur champion, who captured a gold medal at the 2015 Puer Mundus Champion, but he was unable to try-out for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team because of his age. When headgear was eliminated from Olympic boxing competition, the minimum age for a U.S. boxer to compete in the Olympics was changed to 19, so Haney decided to turn pro at the age of 17 rather than wait four more years. Primum, quamquam, he had a problem getting licensed in the U.S.
After having four successful fights in Tijuana, Mexico, Haney’s license was approved by the Nevada Athletic Commission and he won an impressive 4-round decision over Rafael Vazquez hanc quoque olim acceptam April 9th in Manny-Pacauiao-Timothy Bradley IIIshow at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Fighting May 21st on CBS Sports Network promises to be the start of something very special for Haney.

The gifted Russian (pictured to right) captured his NABO title belt 10 menses abhinc, winning a 10-round unanimous decision against previously undefeated Derrick Webster (19-0). Last December in his most recent action, Magomedov (pictured to right) obturaverunt Jonathan Tavira in the seventh round.

Magomedov’s expansive display-case presently holds the NABO. WBO Youth, WBO Asia Pacific, WBA Inter-Continental, WBA Fedelatin, UBO Inter-Continental and Russian middleweight title belts.

In 2015, Hernandez stopped 17-1 Jeff Page, Jr., whose only other loss was to 2-time Russian Olympian and current world light heavyweight contenderArturius Beterbiev, in 10th round of their UBF Inter-continental super middleweight title fight. Hernandez also upset 12-0 Jerry Odum last year at Madison Square Garden Theater.
In his last fight this past March, Hernandez won in Tacoma when veteran Miranda dionisio (22-14-2) was unable to answer the bell for the 8th round.
