Devin Haney (25-0 15 Kos) – defending WBC World Lightweight title against Jorge Linares

“I’m happy he said this was the best training camp and he’s in the best shape of his life. I want the best Jorge Linares so when I win that there’s no excuses and the world knows he came in 100 per cent.

“This is the time I’ve been waiting for; this is the moment and my time to finally shine against an incredible opponent and thinks he can put up a good fight and win against me. This is a huge opportunity for me, this is time to show everything I’m made of.

“Like Jorge said, this is a whole new level but I’m ready for it. It’ll be a very dominant performance; I think the world will be surprised at what kind of performance it is. I think even Jorge will be surprised at what type of fighter I am.”

Bill Haney – trainer and father of Devin Haney

“As you know, we’ve always talked about getting Devin in that right fight that will catapult his career, we believe Jorge Linares is that guy. We’re thankful to Linares for stepping up and giving Devin that opportunity to once and for all show that he’s an elite fighter.

“We have appreciation for Matchroom and how long you’ve been patient. We’ve both tried to get those names in the ring, finally now on Saturday we have that name in Jorge Linares. We hope that he comes and brings his all, we hope to have a healthy and very competitive Jorge Linares so Devin actually can show he’s an elite fighter.

“These are the kind of fights that bring out the best in a fighter. A young fighter like Devin with so much in his toolbox, arsenal full of different kinds of punches. It’s just a great opportunity, we want Jorge to come at his best and bring out those things so we can showcase to the people what a wonderful talent he is.

“You’ll see Devin make a statement, he’s ready for this moment. It’s a euphoric moment, now we get a chance to be on the big stage, our home away from home in Vegas, we look forward to Saturday night, it’s going to be amazing.”

Jorge Linares (47-5 29 Kos) – challenges Devin Haney for the WBC World Lightweight title

“I’m very excited to be here in Vegas again, I’m next to the lightweight world champion Devin Haney, so this is a big opportunity of my life. I had a great training camp in Japan for a long time with my brother but now I’m here. I’m very excited for Saturday night.

“I feel much better than before, against Kevin Mitchell, Antony Crolla, Vasiliy Lomachenko, I think this is the best and more important training camp – a big opportunity in my life. I’m here a couple more days.

“I’ve fought a lot of big fights, 52 ady, tany Angletera, USA, Amerika Latina, this time I’ve come back to Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay. It’s in amazing fight against an amazing young champion, it’s so exciting to show everyone who I am, how much experience I have and how good I feel.

“I respect Haney’s comments, thinking about after this fight, talking about Lopez and everyone in the lightweight division. Me too, I’m thinking about being a champion again and then fighting with the best in the division. There’s a lot of good opponents and champions, I need to be ready for that again.”

Chantelle Cameron (13-0 7 Kos) – defends her WBC World Super-Lightweight title against Melissa Hernandez

“I’m delighted to be here, and I can’t wait to get in there Saturday and put on a show. I’m a natural fighter, Izaho manao izay ataoko, I don’t talk much I just let my hands do the talking.

“I’m always spiteful but now it’s added a bit more spice into it. I can’t wait to get in there now and get down to the action.

“I’m not going to look past Melissa, she’s a former world champion and has got a lot of experience but I’m the better fighter. Things for me are going to go forward and I’ve got a long journey ahead of me – I’m not stopping here.”

Melissa Hernandez (23-7-3 7 Kos) – challenges Chantelle Cameron for the WBC World Super-Lightweight title

“Saturday, expect fireworks. Women’s boxing is back to stay, I was one of the pioneers and I’m here to prove that I still have it and pay homage to all the women that came before me.

“We busted out asses for so long to finally be on these huge cards and to be getting paid more than we used to. When I was fighting, our purses weren’t even enough to pay our rent, now we have women building empires off it – it’s amazing to be here.

“To clear things up about the banter that went on between us, it was taken out of context by somebody chasing clout. I heard what I heard, at the end of the day, the fight is happening. I’m happy I had that extra time to train because she’s a badass, I’m here to prove that I’m a little bit more of a badass.”

Jason Quigley (18-1 14 Kos) – defends WBO NABO Middleweight title against Shane Mosley Jr.

“This is a massive opportunity, big stage, capital of professional boxing here in Las Vegas. It’s a great platform for us to get on the stage, showcase our skills and give our absolute best come fight night.

“Once that bells rings there’s always going to be fireworks., especially with a great fight like this on the line. We both know what this fight means to us, we both know where this fight can put us in our careers. You can definitely expect fireworks come fight night.”

Shane Mosley Jr. (17-3 10 Kos) – challenges Jason Quigley for the WBO NABO Middleweight title against Jason Quigley

“I’m grateful to be a part of this, it’s a great card and I’m grateful to be here and have this opportunity. This is everything I’ve wanted; this is my opportunity. I’m going to take advantage of that and do my best.

“I’m in this sport because I want to be known as my own man, I want to be known as Shane Mosley Jr. That’s why I’m here and that’s what I’m going to do.

“That’s why they come to watch the fights, we put on good shows. Golden Boy, Matchroom, both put on great shows and that’s what we’re expected to do.”

Robert Diaz – VP/Matchmaker, Golden Boy Promotions

“I want to wish both fighters good luck, I know once the bell rings you guys are concentrated on one thing only. This fight means so much to both Jason and Shane, it’s such an important fight, it’s a very even fight and a fight nobody wants to miss. They both know what a win on Saturday night is going to do for their career.

“I know both fighters very well, I’ve known Shane since he was a boy working with his father. I’ve known Jason since his pro debut working his whole career with Golden Boy – I’ve become very attached to both. They’re both very similar outside the ring, they’re gentlemen. There hasn’t been once bad thing said between them, but once that bell rings they’re not friends. Matokia ahy, they’re both coming to knock each other out. May the best man win.”

Martin J. Ward (24-1-2 11 Kos) – faces Azinga Fuzile in a final eliminator for the IBF World Super-Featherweight title

“This is my time now to shine. Las Vegas, the bright lights and big city, that’s what I’m here for. To deal with this guy here, dia ny raharaha rehetra, I’m fighting on Saturday night for me. I’m going to deal with him in good fashion and show the US public who I am. Azinga Fuzile knows who I am, he’ll definitely know my name Saturday.

“Azinga is a good fighter, it’s going to make for good fight but I’m 100% confident I’m going to do a job on this guy. He’s a good, slick fighter but I’ve definitely got all the tools in my arsenal to deal with him in good fashion on Saturday night.

“I’ve put it all in at camp, I’ve done all that I’ve needed to do, it’s all on Saturday night now. The talking means nothing, I’ve prepared, I’m mentally and physically there, I’m ready to put on a good show on Saturday night and excite the fans.”

Azinga Fuzile (14-1 8 Kos) – faces Martin J. Ward in a final eliminator for the IBF World Super-Featherweight title

“I’m ready for the fight, I’ve been preparing for three months for the fight. Vonona aho, I can’t wait for Saturday to beat Martin. Mampanantena anao aho, Martin, Handeha aho handresy. I signed the contract to fight and that’s what I’m going to do on fight night.

“I’m too good for Martin. I’ve seen his videos, watched him fight, then I said I can fight him in a way that I can beat him easily. Voalohany, I didn’t know about him, when I was checking the ratings looking at the guys on top. I found out who he was when they said I must fight Martin Ward. He will know me better, who Azinga is and what he’s capable of.

“I won’t say how I’m going to beat him; you’re all going to see it on Saturday. My fight with Rakhimov, what happened, happened, I had to move on. Now I’m facing this guy, I need to take him out of my way. I’m ready to show the people of Las Vegas beautiful boxing.”

Khalil Coe – makes professional debut

“I’m looking forward to the journey with Matchroom, I already put on a show and I’m grateful to be on this card for my pro debut. The talent that’s going behind me, I want to stand out just as well as they do.

“This is what I’ve been waiting on my whole career, I never thought I would be signed with Matchroom so that’s a big plus. I’m going take advantage and do what I’ve got to do and put it on for the fans.

“There’s going to be a big difference. Some people just think I only have a right hand, I’m only a puncher, but I have footwork, elusiveness, and power. You never know what I’m going to bring to the fight.”

Reshat Mati (9-0 7 Kos) – fights Ryan Pino in his tenth pro fight.

“I’m looking to be active as much as possible. I’m looking for big fights, to get my name out there, you told me to go down to 140lbs, we ventured slowly, worked our way down and make a big impact.

“I’ve learned just to stay calm. In the amateurs it’s three rounds, it’s quick. The main thing is to stay loose, listen to your coaches and stay active as much as possible. It’s better to stay active because the times you have off tests you to how you come back to those adversities. First I’ve got to deal with this guy Saturday and then work our way to the next fight.”

Ramla Ali (2-0) – faces Mikayla Nebel in her third pro fight

“I can’t believe I’ve been given the opportunity to fight in the boxing capital of the world, Vegas, so early on in my career. I can only feel grateful, humbled, and honored to be part of such an amazing card. I love Jorge Linares, I grew up watching him, I think he’s amazing and him versus Haney is going to be electric.

“I think there was a little twitter war going on this morning, someone took what I said out of context. What I meant was you’ve got these amazing fighters in the world, Lomachenko, Ampinga, Katie Taylor, who have done so much in the amateurs, won everything there is to possibly win, if they wanted to fight for a World title in their first fight, they’d be deserved of it. I want to feel deserved of a World title and to feel like a World champion when I feel ready. I don’t want to be pushed into it when I don’t feel ready.

“I’m really excited for when those opportunities will arise, I never shy away from a challenge and if fighting those girls means that it’s the next step to a world title then so be it.”

WBC Lightweight Champion Haney Battles Former Two-Time World Champion Yuriorkis Gamboa on Saturday, Novambra 7 Live on DAZN from Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in an Event Presented by Matchroom USA and Devin Haney Promotions

Las Vegas, NV (Oktobra 30, 2020) – Undefeated WBC lightweight world champion Devin “Ny nofy” Haney (24-0, 15 Kos), will return to the ring on November 7, 2020, against former 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist and two-time world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (30-3, 18 Kos).

Haney vs. Gamboa is a 12-round world title fight taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be the main event on a highly anticipated Matchroom USA card in association with Devin Haney Promotions, broadcast on DAZN.

Here is what Devin Haney, the WBC Lightweight Champion, had to say ahead of his fight with Gamboa as he wraps up his final day of training camp in Las Vegas.

On his recent training camp in Las Vegas.

“I stay in the gym, I basically live in the gym, so once camp begins, I put my all into training. I do not want to be outworked, and I am driven by those around me. I am extremely focused right now. I’m going to be the face of boxing.

On returning after his shoulder injury.

“No athlete wants to ever be injured. I took the time I needed to, listened to the doctors, and let my body rest. One good thing from the social distancing and stay-at-home orders was it occurred during the time I was recovering so I was able to be fully rested once the gyms reopened. I am now 100% and better than ever, you will see on fight night.”

On his matchup with Yuriorkis Gamboa.

“Gamboa has done a lot in the sport, and the fact that he gave a lot of fighters tough fights, says a lot about him. I want to prove a point in this bout that a lot of people are not mentioning my name amongst the best in the world, and I am looking to change that by putting forth a performance against Gamboa that no one has ever seen before. I respect Gamboa as a fighter, but in the ring, I will have no respect for him at all. In the ring he is my enemy.

On what a spectacular win means for your career.

“Obviously, a win gives me my 2nd world title defense which is very important to me. Title defenses shows a lot about what kind of fighter you really are. I don’t care how you won it or who you won it fromcan you defend the world title against all challengers? That’s what I represent as a throwback champion. You can have a strategy to get there but when you become a champion you become a target. Tank Davis, Teofimo Lopez and Ryan Garcia are all great potential opponents for me. I’d rather fight sooner than later but they have to feel the same way about me. I have a goal to be the first billionaire boxer, and to do that I have to put forth billion-dollar performances. That’s exactly what I’m going to do on November 7th in Miami.”

HANEY-GAMBOA AND JACOBS-ROSADO HEADING TO SEMINOLE HARD ROCK HOTEL & Casino

WBC Lightweight champion defends on Nov. 7 – Super-Middleweight grudge match on Nov. 27

Devin Haney will defend his WBC World Lightweight title against Yuriorkis Gamboa on Saturday, Nov. 7 and Daniel Jacobs will clash with Gabriel Rosado on Friday, Nov. 27, both behind closed doors and subject to strict COVID-19 protocols at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida, live on DAZN.

To subscribe to DAZN, visit www.DAZN.com.

Haney (24-0, 15 Kos) is back in action for the first time since November 2019 after injuring his right shoulder in seeing off Alfredo Santiago in the first defense of his belt in LA. The 21-year-old sensation had successful surgery on the injury and is now ready to resume his quest to dominate a 135-lbs. scene that’s littered with big names.

First on his hit list is Gamboa (30-3, 18 Kos), the former unified World Featherweight king and Cuban hero, following his Olympic gold medal. Gamboa is aiming to become a two-weight World ruler at the third attempt having challenged Terence Crawford and Gervonta Davis for their titles, but Haney is confident he will reignite his reign in style.

“Yuriokis Gamboa is a dangerous and experienced fighter,” said Haney. “He’s a former unified world champion, and he has been in the ring with some of the best. He hurt Terence Crawford with a big shot, so his power is not to be ignored. He beat Orlando Salido who beat Vasiliy Lomachenko. Less than a year ago he took Gervonta Davis into the 12th round, something no one has ever been able to do. Gamboa is a true warrior and I’m not taking him lightly. I’ve called out all the top names, and I finally got someone who will challenge me for my title. I intend on making a statement in this fight. My hunger is on another level. It’s time to show the world who the best fighter in boxing is and that’s me!"

“I’m extremely thankful to God for allowing this fight to happen and for the miracle of healing my Achilles,” said Gamboa. “I’ve been dreaming and wishing of fighting for the WBC Green Belt ever since I was an amateur in Cuba. I’m ready and determined to win this title for my fans and to prove those who wrote me off as a washed up fighter wrong. I came up short against Davis because of my Achilles in the second round, but I fought the rest of the fight on one foot, hurting him in the middle rounds. You are going to see a healthy Gamboa fight with both of my legs, fists and warrior heart of mine. With God’s blessings I will come out victorious Nov. 7."

Jacobs and Rosado have built up a rivalry over the last year and now that comes to a head three weeks after Haney vs. Gamboa.

Jacobs (36-3, 30 Kos) made the first steps on his target of becoming a two-weight World champion with victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Phoenix, Arizona in December. That was the “Miracle Man’s” first foray into the 168-lbs. scene after the two-time World Middleweight king moved up from 160 lbs. after his unification clash with Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas in May 2019.

Rosado (25-12-1, 14 Kos) appeared on the undercard in Phoenix and clashed with Jacobs ahead of the weigh-in. The Philly ace recorded a ten round points win that night to return to winning ways following his thrilling back-and-forth battle with Maciej Sulecki on home turf in March 2019, and the 34-year-old will be out to fire himself into contention for the World title clash that Jacobs seeks.

“Gabe talked his way into this fight and now it’s time to see if he can back it up,” said Jacobs. “He’s got a big mouth and he’s been bringing up my name constantly for over a year – but on Nov. 27 the talking stops and I can’t wait to shut him up. My aim is to become a two-weight division World champion in 2021 and that starts with a big win in Florida. Aorian'izay, I’m ready to step up and fight one of the World champions at 168 farantsa. "

“I’m really excited for the fight,” said Rosado. “There’s been a lot of back and forth between me and Jacobs, and for the fight to finally happen, I’m more than ready. I’ve started training camp with Freddie Roach in LA at Wild Card Boxing, and I’m just looking to put on one hell of a show for the fans. I’m definitely going to bring the fight to Danny and it’s going to be great.”

Both events have stacked undercards in support of the main event. There’s a Heavyweight flavor to the Haney card with Croatian talent Filip Hrgovic (11-0, 9 Kos) facing American Rydell Booker (26-3, 13 Kos) and Chinese star Zhilei Zhang (21-0, 18 Kos) meeting another American in Devin Vargas (22-6, 9 Kos). Three young stars continue their pro journeys on the bill as Reshat Mati (7-0, 5 Kos), Raymond Ford (6-0, 2 Kos) and Arthur Biyarslanov (6-0, 5 Kos) are in action on the show – and Matchroom are delighted to announce the signing of French star Souleymane Cissokho (11-0 7 Kos) to a multi-fight deal and he’ll box on the bill, and more details on the deal for the Anthony Joshua managed Super-Welterweight will come on Monday.

Marc Castro will make his pro debut on the undercard of Jacobs vs. Rosado. The Fresno talent was slated to make his bow in the paid ranks in Tulsa, Oklahoma in August, but he tested positive for COVID-19. Now the amateur sensation finally laces them up and is joined on the undercard by fellow amateur rulers in Olympic gold medalist Daniyar Yeleussinov (9-0, 5 Kos), three-time World amateur champion Magomedrasul Majidov (2-0, 2 Kos), and young talents Nikita Ababiy (9-0, 6 Kos) and Alexis Espino (6-0, 4 Kos).

“I can’t wait for our U.S. return in Florida – two stacked cards with plenty riding on them,"Hoy mampiroborobo Eddie Hearn. “The Lightweight division is on fire and there’s no better time for Devin to return to action and make a big statement at the Hard Rock. Although Devin may well be the next big thing, when you look at his CV, Yuriorkis is by far his toughest test to date. A few weeks later, the bad blood between Daniel and Gabe will come to a head as they clash, and the winner of that fight will find themselves in a great position for a World title shot at 168 lbs. in 2021.”

“There’s so many interesting plotlines on both undercards. The Heavyweights are in the spotlight on Nov. 7, with Filip and Zhilei, two World-class fighters that are looking to stake their claims for massive fights next year, as will Magomedrasul who fights on Nov. 27."

“Marc was devastated that his debut was postponed but the Fresno sensation has re-focused and it’s not a bad thing to have to learn to cope with a setback like that – he’s been working so hard in training, and I think we’re going to see a spectacular debut.”

“We’re lining up a big test for Daniyar, and so many of the young stars on the cards are beginning to get to the stages in their career where they move to the next level so I am expecting two exciting nights of action in the Sunshine State.”

Hard Rock Live and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida have a rich history of hosting world-class boxing in addition to globally recognized entertainment acts like Jerry Seinfeld, Alicia Keys and Aerosmith. The venue is excited to play host to two huge nights of action in November.

“Ny mpanentana rehetra amin'ny ady totohondry dia tokony hanaisotra ny egony ary hanao ny ady lehibe,” hoy hatrany Haney. “Fantatro fa hankasitraka ny ady tsara indrindra ny mpankafy ary mendrika ny hahita ireny ady lehibe ireny. Izao dia izao, Mizarazara be ny ady totohondry. Mpankafy ny fanatanjahantena aho ary mety ho fanakorontanana raha tsy vita ny sasany amin'ireo ady lehibe ireo. Nilaza i Arum fa nanao sonia tamin'ny orinasa diso aho, fa tsy manao ny ady lehibe tian'ny vahoaka ho hita izy. Manompo ny tombontsoan'ny orinasany izy ary fantatro fa ny toe-tsaina dia mety hisakana ahy tsy ho lasa iray amin'ireo lehibe amin'ity fanatanjahantena ity., noho izany dia nanao sonia tamin'ny Matchroom aho. Betsaka kokoa ny fifanandrinana mampitolagaga izay efa ela. Asa tsara izany, ary hiroborobo ny ady totohondry, raha ny tsara indrindra no miady amin'ny tsara indrindra.”

Raha ny tambajotra sy ny sazy no mitana ny antony lehibe amin'ny fanaovana ady lehibe, Mety ho sarotra foana ny zavatra. Mahatoky i Haney fa hitombo be ny fanatanjahantena, raha tanteraka ny fahitany.

“Hahazo tombony ny rehetra raha atao ny ady lehibe,” hoy i Haney namarana, izay tale jeneralin'ny orinasam-pampandrosoana azy manokana, Devin Haney Promotions. “Lasa mpanentana tany am-piandohan'ny asako aho satria te hampitambatra ny fanatanjahantena ady totohondry. Mila amboarina ny raikipohy izay ahazoana onitra ny ankolafy rehetra, ary ny mpankafy dia mahita ady lehibe. Eddie Hearn sy ny ady totohondry Matchroom izay miara-mampiroborobo ahy, ataovy mafy ny mpiady aminy, fa tena mahazo karama izy ireo. Izao dia zavatra azonao hajaina izany. Mila miray hina ny ady totohondry, ary tokony hatao avy hatrany ny ady lehibe.”

Daniel Roman, tompon-daka eran-tany super-bantam, WBA sy IBF, dia nitarika ny karatra ambanin'ny tany tamin'ny fiadiana ny lehiben'ny fanohanan'ny vava rehefa nifanandrina tamin'i Murodjon Akhmadaliev, mpifanandrina mahafaty WBA.. Roman (27-2-1 10 Kos) Nampiray ny satroboninahitra WBA tamin'ny fehin-kibo IBF an'i TJ Doheny, ilay Irlandey, tamin'ny ady an-trano tao Los Angeles tamin'ny Aprily., fandresena anaram-boninahitra eran-tany fahadimy teo amin'ny fitifirana fahefatra tao anatiny 14 volana ho an'ny 29 taona.

“Izay mahafantatra ahy dia mahatakatra fa tena mpiady aho,” hoy i Romana. “Hiady amin'izay apetrany eo anoloako aho. Noana i Akhmadaliev, fa toy izany aho. Tsy ela izay [2017] rehefa nanao fanamby ho an'ny anaram-boninahitra WBA aho ka tsy hanary izany izahay. Tonga eto aho hiady sy hiaro ny fehikibo WBA indray. Manana fehikibo roa aho [WBA sy IBF], fa mila bebe kokoa aho. Ny tanjoko dia ny hahazo an'ireo rehetra ireo ka tsy manadino an'i Akhmadaliev mihitsy aho. Manana an'io pedigree amateur io izy, afaka mamely amin'ny hery ary tia mandroso. Ny faharoa dia manambany olona iray ianao, amin’izay no mitranga ny zava-dratsy. Ho vonona amin’izay rehetra entiny aho.

“Amin'ny maha tompondaka iraisana, Takatro fa misy lasibatra ao an-damosiko. Izany no nahatonga ahy tao amin'ny gym, mijanona ho maranitra tahaka ny ataoko foana. Tsy misy fotoana hialana sasatra sy hijerena ny zavatra nataoko satria tsy vita ny asako.”

Betsaka kokoa ny hetsika anaram-boninahitra eran-tany amin'ny volavolan-dalàna satria i Amanda Serrano, tompon-daka eran-tany fito mianadahy, dia nanohitra ny tompon-daka eran-tany WBO, Heather Hardy, tamin'ny raharahan'i Brooklyn., entin'ny DiBella Entertainment miaraka amin'ny Matchroom Boxing USA.

Serrano (36-1-1 27 Kos) nandresy ny kilasin'ny lanjany fahafito tao amin'ny Hulu Theater tamin'ny anaram-boninahitra tamin'ny Janoary rehefa nandrava an'i Eva Voraberger ilay Porto Rikana tamin'ny fihodinana voalohany mba hitakiana ny anaram-boninahitra WBO Super-Flyweight..

Nampiato ny ady totohondry i Hardy mba hiverina amin'ny MMA tamin'ny volana Jona niaraka tamin'ny fivoahana tany Bellator 222 tao amin'ny Madison Square Garden fa niverina tamin'ny ady totohondry mba hifandona amin'ny Brooklynite namany.

“Hitanay tamin'ny Febroary fa amin'ny maha-champion super Amanda dia afaka miantso izay tompon-daka amin'ny fizarana lanja rehetra ary izy no fiarovana manaraka. — ary izy no nifidy ahy. Tsy tonga lavitra tamin'ny lalao ady totohondry aho ka tsy nahalala ny fomba fiasany, manao ady lehibe eo aminy sy Katie Taylor izy ireo ary ity no faharoa amin'ny fifanarahana ady telo nataon'i Amanda.

“Sambany aho hifaninana amin'ny maha-underdog ahy na dia tompon-daka eran-tany amin'izao fotoana izao aza fa faly aho. Fantatry ny rehetra fa manana ny baolina ho azy aho. Nihalehibe niaraka tamin'ny reny henjana aho, Matokia ahy – tsy misy mampatahotra ahy.”

“Tena faly aho niverina teo amin'ny peratra ary faly hiady amin'i Heather Hardy,” Hoy Serrano. “Heather dia 22-0 noho ny antony, mitady fomba handresena foana izy. Efa nifamaly izahay taloha ary tsy mbola nanana andro mora niaraka taminy aho.

“Maro amin'ireo tompon-daka hafa no nandao ny fehikibony mba tsy hiady amiko fa i Heather dia tena tompon-daka eran-tany izay tsy hahafoy ny fehikibony..

“Mifankahalala tsara izahay ary voninahitra ho ahy ny miady aminy mba hahazoana ny anaram-boninahitra eran-tany. Tsy zavatra manokana izany, raharaham-barotra fotsiny ho an'ny tovovavy roa avy any Brooklyn ao amin'ny peratra.”

“Amin'ny Zoma, Septambra 13, tompondaka eran-tany amin’ny fizarana fito Amanda ‘The Real Deal’ Serrano dia hanandrana haka ny anaram-boninahitra WBO Featherweight tamin'i Heather 'The Heat, tompondaka tsy resy.’ Hardy amin'izay mampanantena ny ho fifandonana mipoaka,” hoy Lou DiBella, Filohan'ny DiBella Entertainment. “Na i Hardy na i Serrano dia tsy mbola nisy ady ratsy, Samy manana toerana mpankafy mafana ny Brooklynites ary ambasadaoron'ny ady totohondry vehivavy. Ady tsy maintsy resena ho an’ny mpanao ady totohondry sy hangalatra izany.”

Ny tontolon'ny heavyweight dia mijanona ho mafana ary misy tsara 50-50 fifandonana teo amin'ny karatra raha nihantsy an'i Sergey Kuzmin i Michael Hunter ho an'ny anaram-boninahitra WBA Intercontinental. Hunter (17-1 12 Kos) mihazona ny fehiloha iraisam-pirenena miaraka amin'ny WBA izay manana KO'd Alexander Ustinov tao Monte Carlo tamin'ny Novambra ary niaro izany tamin'ny KO ny fihodinana faharoa an'i Fabio Maldonado tany Maryland tamin'ny volana Mey. Ilay Rosiana tsy resy dia nametraka ny fehikibo azony tao amin'ny kianja Wembley any Londres tamin'ny volana septambra tamin'i David Price ary nandresy an'i LaRon Mitchell ary avy eo Joey Dawejko tamin'ny fiarovan-tena nahomby.. Miaraka amin'ny laharana Kuzmin #5 ary Hunter #8 miaraka amin'ny WBA, ny mpandresy any New York dia handondona eo am-baravarana mba hahazoana tifitra, mampiakatra ny tsatòka amin'ity lalao pick'em ity, miaraka amin'ny World of Boxing.

“Faly aho miady amin'i Sergey,” hoy i Hunter. “Fantatro fa tsy ho ady mora izany, fa tena vonona hiatrika ilay fanamby aho ary te hampiseho amin'ny olona fa izaho no tsara indrindra amin'ny fizarana.”

“Niasa mafy aho ho an'ity fahafahana ity,” hoy i Kuzmin. “Tonga eto aho handresy amin'ity ady ity ary hanaraka ny anaram-boninahitra eran-tany. Tsy maninona amiko na any Etazonia na any Rosia ity ady ity, Tena matoky ny fandreseko aho. Fantatro tsara ny mpifanandrina amiko, mpanao ady totohondry mahay izy, fa isika iray ihany no ho mpandresy.”

“Ady eo amin'ireo mpomba ny folo ambony indrindra ity, samy manana titre rezionaly,” hoy i Vadim Kornilov avy ao amin'ny World of Boxing. “Ity ady ity dia antenaina fa ho fanafoanana ny tsy maintsy ho tompondaka eran-tany.”

“Fampisehoana mamirapiratra ity ary vintana lehibe ho an'i Devin handray ny NYC amin'ny tafio-drivotra,” hoy ny mpanentana Eddie Hearn. “Abdullaev dia mpiady mampidi-doza tsy resy fa i Devin dia vonona ho an'ireo tonga rehetra ary te-handresy amin'ity ady ity ary avy eo dia miditra mivantana amin'ny Lomachenko vs.. Campbell mpandresy. Adala ny mino fa marina izy 20 taona – Heveriko fa rariny ny milaza fa izy no tanora mpiady mampientam-po indrindra eto amin'izao tontolo izao.

“Roman vs. Akhmadaliev dia ady tanteraka, Danny tsy nety niala ny fehikibo ary toy ny tena tompon-daka dia hiatrika tanora tsy misy tahotra, mpiady tsy maintsy mamely mafy izay mitsambikina goavana rehefa avy niady enina monja.

“Ny fizarana lanja mavesatra dia mafana ary ny Hunter v Kuzmin dia mety ho iray amin'ireo lalao amin'ny taona – aza mibitsika amin'ity! Azontsika atao ny nameno ity toerana ity tamin'ny Serrano vs. Hardy irery, ady mahagaga ho an'ny NYC miaraka amin'ny mpandresy napetraka ho an'ny ady mamaritra Katie Taylor manaraka. Aza adino ity seho ity!”

“Faly izahay hanomboka ny filaharana feno fararano miaraka amin'ny fiverenan'ny prospect blue-chip Devin Haney ao amin'ny DAZN,” hoy i Joseph Markowski, DAZN EVP, Amerika Avaratra. “Ny Matchroom dia nanangona karatra mivangongo ho an'ireo mpankafy ady any New York sy ireo mijery manerana an'izao tontolo izao amin'ny DAZN. Miomana ny hanakatona ny taona voalohany amin'ny ady totohondry izahay ary manomboka amin'ny volana septambra izany 13 ao amin'ny Hulu Theater ao amin'ny Madison Square Garden.”

Watch the Haney KnockdownETO

SHREVEPORT – January 12, 2019 – Devin Haney passed the biggest test of his young career Friday night onShoBox: The New Generation, kicking off the 2019 boxing year with a dazzling performance and unanimous decision victory over fellow undefeated former South African champion Xolisani Ndongeni live on SHOWTIME from StageWorks of Louisiana.

Haney (21-0, 13 Kos) scored a second-round knockdown and wore Ndongeni (25-1, 13 Kos) down with punishing body shots in the latter part of the fight in winning easily on all three judges’ scorecards, 100-89 indroa, and 99-90.See the second-round knockdownETO.

Haney told SHOWTIME’s Steve Farhood in the ring after the fight he only wants to be considered a contender from here on out. “I want those top guys,"Hoy izy. “Now they really can’t deny me. I’ve been saying this for a long time but now, I’m a contender.”See the post-fight interviewETO

The knockdown came at 1:30 of the second round as a Haney right hand landed flush knocking the unbalanced Ndongeni to the canvas. But it was Haney’s body shots that wore out the stubborn Ndongeni, who was fighting in the United States for just the second time. Haney badly wanted to end the fight with a knockout, even telling his father Bill Haney between rounds, “I’m going to knock him out!"

“He’s a great fighter,” said Haney, who with the victory takes home the WBO Intercontinental and WBC International belts. “You don’t make it to 25-0 without being anybody. I knew it was going to be tough opponent from the very beginning. He’s a really good fighter and I didn’t choose him. That was the opponent that came up and you know me, I don’t turn down anybody. I fight whoever comes in front of me.”

Farhood said 2019 could be the year Haney fights for a world title. “I’m impressed because he showed a side of himself that we hadn’t seen before,” the International Boxing Hall of Famer Farhood said. “For a young fighter, although he’s very skilled, you want to see him handle all kinds of situations. He went to the body effectively and if the fight goes 30 seconds longer he gets the stoppage. Is a world title fight in 2019 a possibility? Certainly. Just because he’s 20 doesn’t mean he’s not good enough. It’s clear there’s no one that’s going to out-box him.”

Farhood finally gave Ndongeni a round for the first time in the seventh as he used some effective body work to control the round, although never visibly hurting Haney or putting him in too much danger.

As the fight went deeper and deeper, Haney just kept getting stronger. In the final two roundshe led 69-28 on overall landed punches (16-6 jabs and 53-22 fahefana). In the final minute of the final round, Haney out-landed Ndongeni 23-3 in total connects.

“I’m getting stronger with each fight and I feel my man strength emerging,” Haney said. “Ndongeni is a very durable fighter. I attribute his big heart for keeping him in the fight. I knew I was the superior fighter. I showed everyone I can fight coming forward, Afaka totohondry, I can bang, I do it all. Vonona aho…no one is stopping me.”

In a battle of undefeated Rubens, former decorated amateur Ruben Villa (15-0, 5 Kos) handed Colombian Ruben Cervera (10-1, 9 Kos) his first career defeat scoring a dominating unanimous decision, 80-72 on all three scorecards in the eight-round featherweight co-feature bout.See fight highlightsETO.

The 21-year-old two-time Junior Olympic National Champion and the 2014 ary 2015 National Golden Gloves Champion from Salinas, Kalifornia., Villa outworked and outperformed the slower but determined Cervera en route to a decisive decision victory.

“It felt good fighting on the big stage and I got the victory against a very tough undefeated fighter,” the one-time Olympic alternate Villa said. “I felt I controlled the entire fight with my superior boxing skills. I’m ready to step up to the next level. I’m taking on all comers no matter who they are, I feel I’m the best featherweight in the world.”

In the sixth round, Villa got to work featuring a strong right hand and following up with jabs and combinations that seemed to buzz Cevera, who was out-landed on punches in the round 35-5.

The jab was the key weapon for Villa as he led 105-23 in connects as well as holding a 36 percent to eight percent advantage in jab accuracy. Villa exceeded double-digits in jabs in every round but the first.

The lefty Villa said visiting Riverside and spending time with noted trained Robert Garcia has helped his game. “I’ll give myself an 8 na 9 anio alina,"Hoy izy. “I believe in my speed. I know there are guys like [Abner] Mares and [Lion] Santa Cruz who people know, but visiting Riverside let me see I can step in there with anyone.”

Cevera became the 182daty career fighter to lose his undefeated record onShoBox. “I knew Ruben Villa was a very fast fighter because I saw some video of him, but I didn’t know he was that fast,” Cervera said. “He’s much faster when you see him inside the ring. I tried everything I could but my distance was off. I was able to hit them with a couple of combinations and he probably felt my power. I don’t disagree with the judges’ decision, he was the better man tonight.”

Amin'ny mpanokatra telecast, Cuban heavyweight Frank Sanchez (11-0, 9 Kos) overcame a 14-minute delay between the first and second rounds knocking out former college football player Willie Jake, Jr. (8-2-1, 2 Kos) amin'ny 2:59 ny fihodinana faharoa. Both fighters sat calmly on their stools as local promoters worked to repair two of the ropes that had fallen from their post.See fight highlightsETO.

After controlling the action in the first round, Frank’s raw punches simply overpowered the heavier Jake, catching him with a glancing right to the head and a cuffing hook to the body that caused Jake to fall face-first to the canvas and the fight was waved off with just one second remaining in the second round.

Sanchez was the more accurate fighter landing 39 percent of his power shots to Jake’s 25 isan-jato. He also outlanded the Indianapolis native in total connects (28-15) and in landed power shots (20-14).

“I wanted to show the world that I’m the new Cuban boxing sensation,” said Sanchez, who grew up in Guantanamo, Kiobà, and now resides in Miami. “I didn’t let the ring rope delay affect my performance. I was ready to go no matter what happened. My manager the great Richard Steele [former boxing referee] is already putting together my next fight. I’m coming for everyone in the heavyweight division. All contenders better watch out.”

The event was promoted by Devin Haney Promotions and Bishop Promotions LLC, in association with Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing. The full telecast will replay on Monday, Janoary 14 amin'ny 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME EXTREME and will be available on SHOWTIME ANYTIME® and SHOWTIME on DEMAND®.

FINAL nalaina:

DEVIN HANEY:

“This is a 10-round fight for the WBO Intercontinental and WBC International belts, so it’s a big deal. This is a true step up for me.

“It’s important for me build a name in different areas of the country. I’ve fought in Southern California and Philadelphia, and now I’m fighting in Louisiana. This fight I will show who Devin Haney is. In this fight I’ll showcase my skills and I’ll show my full arsenal.

“My style is not a style that people want to fight. I will fight whoever is out there. We haven’t been getting a lot call backs. I’ve had other offers from all the top promotion companies, but I want to remain independent and make my own decisions.

“My opponent has an awkward style. I know he has a lot of confidence and he thinks he can beat me. That’s great for him, but he hasn’t faced anyone with my combination of speed and power.

“At the end of my career I think it would be great if the world continued to say, ‘I don’t know if he can take a punch.’ That would be the goal.”

XOLISANI NDONGENI:

“I’ve trained and sparred with guys at Mayweather’s gym in Las Vegas for four months in 2017. I learned a lot got some great experience.

“I see a young, good prospect in Devin Haney. I just have to keep to my game plan. He doesn’t realize how fast I am. I’ll show some different looks, and know what he’s planning to do. Whatever Haney brings, I’ll adjust.

“I’ve been in some deep waters and I have more rounds than Haney. That experience will pay off for me.

“I’ve been knocked down once in my career. It was early and I came back to knock him down five times and won the fight.

“Haney wants to be called a contender. I’ve been a contender and I know what it takes to be at the top level of the sport. I’ve never taken a fight I wasn’t prepared for or thought that I couldn’t win.”

RUBEN VILLA

“This is exciting and what we’ve been working toward. The contracted weight is 128 for this fight, but I’m a natural featherweight at 126. I’m a southpaw but a natural righty. I throw a lot of jabs, Izay no fomba.

“I’m representing Salinas and want to be a world champion someday. I’m only 21 taona, and to already be fighting onShoBox is a dream come true.

“People say I don’t have the knockouts, but it’s in my mind and they will come. The power and knockouts will come.

“I once beat Devin [Haney] by unanimous decision in the amateurs. Aho 15, and it was in the finals of the Junior Olympics. Devin’s real slick and aggressive and he moves well. That’s how you beat him.

RUBEN CERVERA

“I’ve never been to the U.S., and I love it here. The press conference and the amount of attention this fight is getting is amazing. I’m used to watching this kind of stuff on T.V. But my mind is totally focused on this fight.

“I have power in all my punches. I’m a strong fighter who has to take a step up in my career. Tanora aho, ihany 20 taona, so I’m anxious to get my career going.

“I know Villa is a southpaw. I’ve fought lefties several times in my career and have had no problem with it.

“There is a lot of talent in Colombia, but there aren’t the resources there to have a good career. You have to sacrifice a lot and that’s what I’ve done.”

FRANK SANCHEZ

“I’m 6-foot-4 and use my height to my advantage. I defected from Cuba in 2016 and my family is still in Cuba. My brother is the only one here in the States with me.

“I’m living in Miami now and training there. That will be my home base now.

“I’d love to fight [Deontay] Wilder. I want to be world champion so maybe someday I will. His technique is a little bit wild.

“I had great amateur experience and am a former member of the Cuban national amateur team. I know that will help me. I know there’s never been a heavyweight champion from Cuba, and I plan to be the first one.”

WILLIE JAKE JR.

“Indianapolis is a tough town to be a boxer because there’s not a lot going on there.

“I played college football [for Pasadena City College] but I hurt my wrist and decided to go into the military.

"[Frank] is a little fellow. He needs some maturing. I know they do things differently there in Cuba, but we both are fighting for our families. I’m going to let him know he needs to be a cruiserweight.”
