Der ungeschlagene 24-Jährige aus Wichita, Kansas beendete eine beeindruckende Amateurkarriere bei der 2016 Olympische Spiele, als er Kämpfer aus Italien besiegte, Russland und Ecuador holen sich seine Bronzemedaille im Halbfliegengewicht. Hernandez ist der erste US-Amerikaner. Männerboxmedaillengewinner seit 2008. Seit ich im März Profi geworden bin 2017, Hernandez hat eine zusammengestellt 7-0 Rekord, davon vier Siege durch Ko. Er ist der zweite Olympier, der bei BKFC unterschreibt, und der erste olympische Medaillengewinner.


“Es war mein Ziel, in der INTRUST Bank Arena zu kämpfen, seit sie gebaut wurde,” Said Hernandez. “Ich muss noch in Wichita kämpfen. Er gewann acht seiner ersten neun Bellator-Kämpfe, ist der vierte aller Zeiten in Bellator gewinnt und fordert für die Bellator Leichtgewichtsmeisterschaft in 2013. Insgesamt, er hat eine beeindruckende zusammengestellt 21-6 Rekord in seiner Pro-MMA-Karriere.

HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. — (Jan. 13, 2017) – A pair of heavyweight fights featuring undefeated blue chip prospects Jarod Trice(1-0) und Tyrell Fortune (1-0) have been added to the Bellator.com-streamed preliminary card of Bellator 171 at the Kansas Star Arena on Jan. 27.

Also added to the preliminary portion of Bellator 171 ist Brown Ellen (2-1), , die stattfinden wird auf Carmella James (Debüt) in a female flyweight clash. McKee enters the Bellator MMA cage undefeated and continues to prove that he is one of the top young prospects in the sport of MMA. With each of McKee’s six professional fights coming under the direction of Bellator MMA, the 21-year-old Team BodyShop product has made a name for himself from day one, showing both exceptional power and elusiveness every time he steps into the cage. Taking his ninth professional fight, 27-year-old Brandon Phillips will participate in the main card action for the first time in his Bellator MMA career.
