Granite Chin Promotion presents Thanksgiving Eve show “Championship Boxing at The Armory”

QUINCY, Hmota. (November 19, 2018) – A major change has been made to this Wednesday night’s (November. 21) “Championship Boxing at The Armory” karta, v podaní Granite Chin Promotions (GCP) on Thanksgiving Eve, at the National Guard Armory (70 Victory Road) in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
The originally scheduled headliner, three-time world title challenger Aleksandra Magziak Lopes (18-4-3, 1 KO), withdrew when she accepted a world title shot Dec. 8 v Carson, Kalifornia, against undisputed World welterweight champion Cecelia “Prvá dáma” Braekhus (34-0, 9 KO) in the main event on HBO.
Many of New England’s most talented and popular boxers will still be in action this Wednesday evening. spolupromotér GCP Chris Traietti (26-4, 21 KO), fighting out of Quincy (MA), will defend his New England cruiserweight title against challenger Nick Lavin (5-9, 4 KO), of Shelton (CT), in the new eight-round main event.
The 33-year-old Traietti, an Iraq War veteran and college graduate, defeated the heavy-handed Lavin by way of an eight-round unanimous decision August 5, 2017 for the N.E. názov.
“As disheartening as it was to lose Aleks on this show,” Traietti said, “we are thrilled she’s getting a career defining opportunity on HBO. She’s worked hard for the opportunity and we wish her the best of luck December 8th.

(November 1, 2018) — The return of three-time world challenger Aleksandra Lopes vôle titulok “Championship Boxing at The Armory,” v podaní Granite Chin Promotions (GCP), Thanksgiving Eve (Streda, November. 21), at the National Guard Armory (70 Victory Road) in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
Many of New England’s most talented and popular boxers will be on the card, which will also feature a Massachusetts State title fight in Granite Chin Promotions’ third and final show of 2018.
“We are excited to be running once again on Thanksgiving Eve,” said GCP co-promoter Chris Traietti, who will also be fighting on this card. “Throughout the last few years, Granite Chin has been trying to make it a Thanksgiving tradition to bring local boxing to the area as a fun way to get people together.”
The wildly popular Lopes (18-4-3, 1 KO), fighting out of Marshfield, MA, is a native of Poland. She hasn’t fought since last December due to injuries suffered in a car accident. Lopes will face
Missouri welterweight Ashleigh Curry (7-11-4, 1 KO) in the six-round main event.
Former N.E. welterweight majster Derek “The Surgeon” Silveira (14-2, 7 KO), fighting out of Salem, MA, takes on Mexican veteran Franciso “El Mono” Medel (12-15, 8 KO) in the six-round co-featured event.

WORCESTER, Hmota. (August 19, 2018) – Seven years after his last fight, “Gallo” Jose Antonio Rivera returned to the ring in grand fashion last night (Sobota) na titulok “Návrat domov, presented by Granite Chin Promotions in association with Rivera Promotions Entertainment, The Palladium vo Worcesteri, Massachusetts.
The 45-year-old Rivera (42-6-1, 25 KO), 35 pounds lighter than he was in February when he started training, packed the house in his hometown, fully entertained his supportive fans. Three-time, two-division world champion Rivera pressured Larry “Slomoshun: Kovář (10-38-1, 7 KO) from the opening bell and he never let up.
It took a few rounds for Rivera to wear off the rust, but he fed Smith a steady diet of body shots, gradually breaking down his opponent, as he won round after round on points. Twice in the sixth round it looked like Smith was done, but the tough Texan showed a lot of heart to survive.
Konečne, Rivera closed the show in the seventh round, when Smith broke his hand in the fifth round and was unable to continue, kneeling in his corner, obviously in pain.
“I’ve always been tough,” Rivera said after the fight, “but I was a little rusty. He tested me early but, once he saw I wasn’t going anywhere and knew he was in for a fight. I started warming up in the fourth round. I was always a 12-round fighter. I didn’t know he broke his hand until after the fight. Cítim sa skvele. WORCESTER, Hmota. (Júl 31, 2018) – A dozen years after he captured his third world title in two different weight classes, seven since his last fight, “Gallo” Jozef Rivera returns to the ring August 17 na titulok “Návrat domov”, v podaní Granite Chin Promotions (GCP) v spolupráci s Rivera Promotions Entertainment (RPE), The Palladium vo Worcesteri, Massachusetts.
Ten 45-ročný Rivera (41-6-1, 24 KO) has already lost more than 30 libier, now within four pounds of his contracted weight, since he started training earlier this year. He will headline against Ruben “Moderný bojovník” Galvan (27-26-4, 10 KO) v osemkolovom hlavnom turnaji.
V 1997, Rivera captured the International Boxing Organization (IBO) World welterweight title, zastavenie Gilberto Flores v druhom kole. DERRY, N.H. (Apríl 8, 2018) — The official weigh in was held today for tomorrow (Sobota) evening’s “Fight Night at the Zone,” v podaní Granite Chin Promotions, at The Sportszone in Derry, New Hampshire.

Flashy Worcester, MA vyhliadka Irvin Gonzalez (9-0, 8 KO) overwhelmed his Mexican opponent, junior welterweight Francisco “El Mono” Medel (12-13, 8 KO), blasting him from every angle en route to a first-round technical knockout, in which Medal went to the canvas twice.
New England cruiserweight champion Chris Traietti (26-4, 21 KO), also the co-promoter, pounded “Jammin” James Morrow (12-23-3, 5 KO) from pillar to post until referee Leo Gerstel halted the action in their non-title fight for a third-round technical knockout.
Irish junior welterweight Paddy McGee, fighting out of Dorchester, MA, landed only two punches in his pro debut, both flooring Bardraiel Smith (0-4), for a quick first-round knockout.
Stoughton, MA welterweight Travis “Outlaw” Demko (6-1, 1 KO) outclassed Paul DeSouza (0-11), of Somerville, pitching a six-round shutout decision.

QUINCY, Hmota. (Apríl 2, 2018) — This Saturday night’s “Fight Night at The Zone”, v podaní Granite Chin Promotions, has been strengthened by the late addition of hot prospect Irvin Gonzalez to a card already showcasing some of the best young, professional boxers in New England.
Granite Chin Promotions is on a mission to establish a fan-base in the Granite State, providing a fan friendly, full entertainment experience at The Sports Zone in Derry, New Hampshire.
Gonzalez (8-0, 7 KO), fighting out of Worcester, MA, bol 2015 New England Golden rukavice majster, who qualified for the 2016 Olympijských súdov. The 21-year-old featherweight prospect will face Mexican Francisco “El Mono” Medal (12-12, 8 KO) v šiestich dokola záchvat.
