RingTV.com, powered by Flipps Media, will live stream four pay-per-view fights and three preliminary bouts. The eight fighters in the four pay-per-view fights have a combined 217.3.3 (147 KOs) record, including the 86-1-1 (67) Canelo-GGG record.
The English language stream will have Golden Boy Promotions blow-by-blow announcer Beto Duran, while veteran boxing reporter and Ringtv.com editor Doug Fischer will serve as color commentator. In Spanish, commentary will be supplied by Jorge Milhe and Ernesto Amador.
In the 10-round co-feature, unbeaten featherweights Joseph “JoJo” Diaz, Jr.(24-0, 13 KOs) and Jorge “Pilon” Lara (29-0-2, 21 KOs) battle in the World Boxing Council (WBC) Title Eliminator to position the winner for a world title shot against WBC Featherweight World Champion Gary Russel, Jr.
2012 U.S. Olympian Diaz, fighting out of South El Monte, California, is the reigning North American Boxing Federation (NABF) and North American Boxing Organization (NABO) featherweight champion.   The slick southpaw is rated among the top 10 by all four major sanctioning bodies – WBO #1, WBC #2, IBF #4 and WBA #9 – as well as No. 7 by The Ring magazine. His Mexican opponent, Lara, is ranked No. 5 and 6, respectively, by the WBC and WBA, in addition to No. 9 by The Ring.
A pair of undefeated super middleweights, former IBF bantamweight world champion Randy “El Matador” Caballero (24-0, 14 KOs) and Diego “The Golden Kid” De La Hoya (19-0, 9 KOs), will square off in the 10-round NABF super bantamweight title fight.
California-born Caballero, ranked No. 6 by the WBC, will defend his NABF crown against De La Hoya, the WBC Youth World Champion De La Hoya, and cousin of the event’s promoter, Hall-of-Famer Oscar De La Hoya. The young Mexican with the “golden” surname, De La Hoya, is also rated among the among the top 10 by all four major sanctioning organizations – WBC #4, IBF#6, WBO #7 and WBA #9 – in addition to being ranked No. 9 by The Ring.
In the opening PPV fight, undefeated Tennessee lightweight Ryan “Blue Chip” Martin (19-0, 11 KOs) defends his WBC Continental Americas title against a dangerous, upset-minded Mexican, Francisco “Paquito” Rojo (19-2, 12 KOs), in a scheduled 10-round fight. IBF #9 and WBO #14 Martin faces the stiffest test of his young professional career in WBC #8 Rojo, who earlier this year knocked out WBC No. 1 contender Dante Jordon in the fifth round.
Three undefeated prospects will be showcased in the three preliminary bouts that will be streamed live on Ringtv.com. Ukrainian welterweight Serhii “El Flaco” Bohachuk (4-0, 4 KOs) meets an opponent to soon be determined in a four-round bout, while Dallas super lightweight Vergil Ortiz (6-0, 6 KOs) meets Cesar Valenzuela (7-1, 2 KOs), of Phoenix, in a six-round match. 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Marlen Ezparza (2-0), fighting out of Houston, faces Aracely Palacios(8-7, 1 KO), of Mexico, in the streaming event opener.
All fights and fighters are subject to change.

RAGING BABE BRUNCH RETURNS SEPTEMBER 16TH; PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT PRICHARD COLON FOUNDATION

LAS VEGAS – July 24, 2017September, 16th is a huge day for boxing in Las Vegas, with Saul “Canelo” Alvarez facing Gennady “GGG” Golovkin in a must-win contest for the king of the middleweight division. As boxing’s elite descend on the Las Vegas Strip, the Raging Babes of Boxing will once again gather to networklaugh and bond over brunch.

This year’s event will be held at the Mandalay Bay’s Border Grill, with views of Mandalay Bay’s beach, and the unlimited mimosas that brunch attendees have come to expect over four years of Raging Babe events. More importantly, attendees will enjoy opportunities to meet and network with some of boxing’s top executives, most important behind-the-scenes players and inspirational women from across the industry.

The event continues to grow, with over 50 women attending the last brunch “New York, New York,” in 2016, and Raging Babe founder Michelle Rosado expects a full house for September’s brunch. Rosado settled on “Shine Bright” for the event’s theme. “Who shines brighter than the women of boxing,” said Rosado. “This event has grown to be so much more than a bunch of women sharing a meal. Experiences, talents and stories of heartbreak and triumph are shared at these events. They have come to mean a lot to the women working tirelessly to advance this sport of ours.”

As past events have done, Shine Bright will honor one of boxing’s most influential women with the Luminary Award.  “I can’t wait to share our honoree’s story,” said Rosado, who indicated the award winner would be announced soon.
Shine Bright will benefit a cause close to Rosado’s heart – the recovery of boxer Prichard Colon. “Prichard has made some great strides in his recovery, but the fact remains that the therapy he needs, the medical expenses, the support that his family needs, doesn’t end. His family has sacrificed everything to help him get better, and he sacrificed everything to entertain us in the ring.” Rosado, along with boxing manager and entrepreneur Livvy Cunningham, created the Facebook group, “Pray 4 Prichard,” which has been a place for the Colon family to find encouragement and support via messages from boxing fans all over the world. A percentage of the proceeds from Shine Bright will benefit the Prichard Colon Foundation, which funds the hefty monthly insurance premiums that are essential to Colon’s recovery.

Alvarez vs. Chavez, Jr. is one of the most anticipated fights, easily a Fight of the Year candidate, featuring two of the highest-profile Mexican warriors, fighting on Cinco de Mayo weekend.
Twenty-six year-old Alvarez (40-1-1, 34 KOs) is the reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) world junior middleweight and The Ring magazine middleweight champion. The wildly popular fighter is moving up in weight to fight Chavez, Jr., who has dropped back down from light heavyweight.
Alvarez is 10-1 (6 KOs) in world title bouts, in addition to being 11-1 (4 KOs) in fights against current or past world champions: Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Amir Khan, Miguel Vasquez (twice), Carlos Manuel Baldomir, Lovemore N’dou, Kermit Cintron, Austin Trout, Erislandy Lara and Liam Smith.

In his first pro loss, Chavez Jr. lost a 12-round decision to Sergio Gabriel Martinez, who survived a final round knockdown as Chavez tried to finish off the famed Argentinian.
The 10-round co-feature also has explosive potential as middleweights David Lemieux (37-3, 33 KOs) and Marcos “Dorado” Reyes (35-4, 26 KOs) have a higher combined knockout percentage than Alvarez-Chavez. Jr.
Lemieux, 28, is a highly skilledfighter from Montreal and a former International Boxing Federation (IBF) middleweight world champion.   He is 12-1 in his last 13 fights, since his loss to unified world middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin.
At stake for Lemieux is a possible throw-down with “Canelo” later this year.  The Canadian slugger has quality victories over Curtis Stevens, Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam, Gabe Rosado, Fernando Guerrero.  Lemieux is currently world rated among the top seven middleweights by all four major sanctioning bodies – WBO & WBC #4, WBA #5 and IBF #7 — as well as No. 3 by (independent) The Ring.
Reyes, fighting out of Chihuahua, Mexico, went thedistance in 2015 with Chavez, Jr., in a loss by way of 10-round unanimous decision.  Reyes is a former WBC FECOMBOX middleweight and Mexican light middleweight champion.
Former Interim WBC super lightweight champion Lucas “La Maquina” Matthysse (37-4, 34 KOs) returns to action for the first time since October 3, 2015 against Maryland welterweight Emmanuel “Tranzformer” Taylor (20-4, 14 KOs).
Matthysse is a fan-favorite fighter, power-puncher from Argentina.  His signature victories have been against former world champions Ruslan Provodnikov, Lamont Peterson, Humberto Soto, DeMarcus Corley and Vivian Harris
Taylor was a decorated American amateur boxer who owned a 186-26 amateur record, including three gold-medal performances in the National PAL Championships.  The 26-year-old has never been stopped as a professional, taking world champions Adrian Broner and Chris Algieri the distance.  Taylor has defeated Karim Mayfield, Victor Manuel Cayo and Raymond Serrano, among the more notables.
Rising featherweight star Joseph “JoJo” Diaz, Jr. faces fellow undefeated Californian Manuel Avila in a 10-round bout with future world title fight implications.
The 24-year-old Diaz, Jr. (23-0, 13 KOs), a 2012 U.S. Olympian, is the North American Boxing Federation (NABF) featherweight champion. He is the No. 2 contenders in the WBC and WBO world ratings, as well as No. 7 in the IBF. His most recent fight was a win by a 10-round unanimous decision (100-90 X 3) over 30-1-1 Horacio Garcia last December.
Avila, rated No. 10 by the WBC, is a live underdog having defeated 28-6 Jose Ramirez, 24-7 Prosper Ankrah and 23-6 Rene Alvarado in his last three fights.

Willie Monroe, Jr.: “I know Canelo would fight me.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Philadelphia, PA (October 5, 2016)–After his emphatic unanimous decision victory over Gabriel Rosado on September, 17th, it was widely understood in the boxing industry that middleweight contender Willie Monroe, Jr. would get an opportunity to face Canelo Alvarez in a bout this winter or next spring.
Now it seems, Canelo’s team, led by trainer Eddie Reynoso, have seemed to do a 180 degree turn, and they don’t want their prized fighter anywhere near the former world title challenger.
I don’t think it’s Canelo himself, but it is his team.  I know Canelo would fight me,said Monroe.  “I think it is trainers who fear that they can’t prepare Canelo for my style.
Monroe points to pre-fight talk that came from Canelo’s side that the winner of the fight between Monroe & Rosado would be the front-runner to receive the fight with Alvarez.
If he is a true man, they should stick to their word.  The plan was for the winner of that fight to be able to fight Canelo.  They thought Rosado would win, and he would just be a guy that would get pounded by Canelo.”
If the shoe was on the other foot, and it was me who did not want to fight an aggressive fighter, I would look like a punk.”
“They keep putting me on the “B” side, and I just keep on winning.  Remember Rosado was the guy who kept saying he was going to knock me out and talking a lot, calling me scared and a bum;  I am not that type of guy.  I don’t have nine gold chains around my neck or gold teeth in.”

Watch the fight with Rosado.  I stood in the middle of the ring with my feet planted in.  I was waiting for Rosado to come in, and after I hit him a few times, he looked scared and it was me pressing him
.”
All I want is the opportunity.  Canelo got to where he is by fighting big names, so I feel I deserve this opportunity.”
