Brooklyn (Hunyo 28, 2016)—Undefeated former two-division world champion Mikey Garcia will return to the ring after a two-and-a-half-year layoff on Sabado, Hulyo 30 on an exciting night of boxing on Showtime at Showtime Extreme that is one of the strongest cards ever assembled at Barclays Center sa Brooklyn.

 

Garcia, who won world titles at featherweight and super featherweight, will fight former world champion Elio Rojas in a 10-round bout in the Showtime Championship Boxing co-feature of the Leo Santa Cruz vs. Carl Frampton event presented by Premier Boxing Champions (PBC).

 

In the opening bout of the Showtime Championship Boxing telecast that begins at 9 p.m. AT/6 p.m. PT, once-beaten 154-pound contenders Tony Harrison at Sergey Rabchenko will meet in a 12-round IBF Junior Middleweight Eliminator. Harrison and Rabchenko will square off for the No. 2 mandatory challenger spot to IBF titlist Jermall Charlo, who successfully defended his crown on Mayo 21, and undefeated contender Julian Williams, who earned the No. 1 mandatory position on Marso 5, both on SHOWTIME. Harrison vs. Rabchenko is the sixth matchup in 2016 between top 154-pound fighters, a lineup showcasing three world title fights and three title elimination matches in one of boxing’s deepest divisions.

 

The combined record of the six fighters on the SHOWTIME telecast is an impressive 162-4-1 may 113 knockouts.

 

An all-Brooklyn showdown between welterweight technicians Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi at Gabriel “Tito” Bracero highlights the undercard action on SHOWTIME BOXING on SHOWTIME EXTREME. The 10-round bout is a matchup between a former two-division world champion, Malignaggi, and a fellow Brooklyn native, Bracero, coming off the biggest win of his career when he knocked out Danny O'Connor huling Oktubre.

Garcia (34-0, 28 Kos), ng Ventura, Calif., is 28-years-old and in the prime of his career. Once considered one of the top young boxers pound-for-pound in the world, he will make his first ring appearance since he retained the WBO 130-pound title with a 12-round unanimous decision overJuan Carlos Burgos sa Jan. 25, 2014. Redkach is an aggressive guy and I know he is coming to fight, but there is no way I leave that ring without my hand being raised. This is a fight where I can and I will make a major statement. PHOENIX, ANG (Hunyo 28, 2016) – Unbeaten Mexican-American super-middleweight, David “Ang Red Flag” Benavidez (15-0, 14 Kos) is eager to stamp his name in the division. VLADIMIR TIKHONOV MAKING PROGRESS UP THE RATINGS LADDER; RUSSIAN IS LUCKY NO. 13 IN WBA

Brooklyn, NY (Hunyo 15, 2016)– Ruso Vladimir Tikhonov, a super bantamweight contender, is the latest signee to the Dmitriy Salita promotional slate. And it looks like the timing is right for the Brooklyner Salita, with word out that this Russian hitter is making his way up the ratings ladder.
Tikhonov (14-0 may 8 Kos) has entered the WBA world rankings at No. 13.

Naka Siya pro sa 2008, has fought once outside Russia, and Salita is looking to get him some more passport stamps.

A left-hander, Tikhonov is methodical and busy. He is active with his feet and can sting with both hands. Opponents need to be wary of him slipping punches in from underneath. He is ultra calm in the ring, nakukuha sa, gets off and gets out.

It was just the third fight in the featherweight division for Santa Cruz, who has won belts at 118 at 122 pounds while earning a reputation as one of boxing’s most active and exciting fighters. The 27-year-old also holds victories over Cristian Mijares at Eric Morel. He has competed in world title bouts in 11 ng kanyang huling 13 fights since 2012. BELGIAN BOXER ALEX MISKIRTCHIAN GETS FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE SHOT

Brooklyn, NY (Marso 16, 2016) – Even the very best in the business experience setbacks and get faced with choice time. Can I learn from my mistake and turn a negative into a positive?
Alex Miskirtchian found himself enjoying his momentum up the featherweight ladder before he hit a pothole in the road last summer. The Georgia-born fighter with a 26-4-1 mark got caught by vet Cornelius Lock and had to assess himself.

He did so, and licked his wounds and got back to work. The Belgium resident, who has mostly fought in his home-land, rebounded with a win in December and is being rewarded for his perseverance with an IBF intercontinental championship opportunity.

Miskirtchian, promoted by Brooklyn’s Dmitriy Salita, will fight Vireol Simion on Marso 18, for a crack at that crown.

“Alex is fighting for a title but more importantly for a chance to come back to the top of the division,” Salita said.

“He learned from his US experience, against Lock, took a break and came back with extra motivation to again make a world title run. I believe Alex will put on one of his best performances in this upcoming fight. He has a great team with manager Alain Vanackère and I believe the result will be a positive one on March 18th.”

The fight against the 19-1 Romanian Viorel will unfold in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, so Miskirtchian will need to fight his best brand of boxing that evening. His promoter, Salita, has faith in him.
