While he believes he’ll be even better on July 19, Fierro is confident that he proved his elite status in the first fight, even if Cruz doesn’t.

Four Team USA Boxers Close Friday With Bronze Medals

Among the Team USA men’s contenders, Georges continued his remarkable week with a 4 1 win over Moldova’s Andrei Zaplitnii on Friday. In his two bouts, Georges has consistently dominated from the opening bell and enforced his powerful game on his foes. He will take on Brazil’s Isaias Filho in bout 18.

The pair were the lone Team USA athletes in competition on day one of the tournament, and following their victories, they now advance to the quarterfinal rounds of their respective brackets.

گونزالس (Glendora, کالیفرنیا.) closed out her 2025 international debut in style with a 3-2 victory over Croatia’s Sara Beram. Following the victory, Gonzalez will take on Italy’s Rebecca Nicoli in the quarterfinals of the women’s 60kg division. A second win at the tournament for the Glendora, کالیفرنیا., native will guarantee her a medal at the event; اما, she remains persistent in capturing the gold medal in her 2025 international debut tournament.

“First time fighting international since the Games,” said Gonzalez after her victory. “I felt a little rusty, but of course, it’s the first day. Back at it again tomorrow, and it’s going to be better tomorrow.”

After listening to the opening bell and stepping out to throw the first punch of the bout, Camacho closed the door on any questions about whether or not he was ready for the international stage. Pryce is Right again for undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight Pryce Taylor

شهر نیویورک (ژوئن 11, 2025) – Immediately after last Friday night’s impressive fourth-round stoppage of Ed “Tex” Fountain, Brooklyn’s undefeated Pryce Taylor (8-0, 5 کوس) was called America’s best heavyweight prospect by his promoter, دیمیتری Salita (جوایز Salita).

The 28-year-old Taylor and his manager, New York City-based Attorney Keith Sullivan, agree with Salita.

“I was excited to be fighting on a show like that,” Taylor added. “He hit me first in the first round, something I always let my opponents do to test their power, gauge patterns, and figure him out. Because he’s a southpaw, his right is his jab, and he really wanted to use his left power hook. He had a good poker face, but he couldn’t hide it when I hurt him. He tried not showing he was fazed, keeping himself upright, but he felt my power. I like being accurate, especially throwing power punches. I punished him at the end, throwing a body shot, an uppercut, and then two right hooks.”

“I thought George Foreman would have been proud of me and maybe thought he was seeing himself fight when he saw me punch. I put on a show. I’m a combination of Foreman and Muhammad Ali; power punching like Foreman, elusive like Ali with good footwork and light on my toes.

“I’m not sure if this was the best fight of my career, but he was my best opponent and the toughest guy I’ve fought. He came into the ring in good shape and tried to fight. His downfall was Pryce Being Right دوباره. I love throwing my straight right and that keeps opening up my left hook to the body.”

Despite the Cross Insurance Arena being more than 1,500 miles from his home in Olathe, کانزاس, the 19-year-old Romero feels that Portland has become his second home, where he kick-started his pro career, and has developed a surprisingly growing fan base.
