Las Vegas (Maret 22, 2018) — Unbeaten bantamweight prospect “The Baby-Faced Assassin” Max Ornelas (10-0-1, 4 KOs) goes from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas classroom into an on-campus ring at Cox Pavilion on April 20th to take on his Roy Jones Jr, (RJJ) Boxing Promotions stablemate, Dallas challenger Tony Lopez (12-3, 4 KOs), in the 10-round main event for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) North American Boxing Association (Uga) bantamweight title.
Ornelas vs. Lopez, presented RJJ Boxing Promotions, will air live on beIN Sports, miwiti ing 10 P.M. Lan / 7 P.M. PT.
“I’ve watched Max come up in the rankings and as his confidence and power have grown,” co-promoter Roy Jones, Jr. ngandika. “The way he has represented his hometown and my stable is remarkable. Saiki, to witness him fight in front of his fellow UNLV student body, I know he will exude humbleness for RJJ, UNLV and Las Vegas.”

“I love what RJJ Boxing Promotions has done for me,” WBA N0. 14-rated Ornelas spoke about his accelerated pace. “I’m only 19 but they’ve shown that they trust me. They gave me seven fights in six months, making it much quicker for a world title fight. The rest is up to me.”

“This will be my toughest fight yet. He’s more experienced. This is going to be a good fight with a title on the line. An impressive win is going to open up more doors for me.”
Ornelas’ parents insisted that Max would have to attend college if he turned pro. He balances his life as a UNLV sophomore, majoring in criminal justice, with that of a prize fighter. Fighting at home, on the UNLV campus in front of family, friends and fellow students, pumps up the affable Ornelas.
“When I’m not training, I’m in school or studying,” Ornelas explained. “I’ve handled things well. I’m disciplined and like to stay busy. I’ll stay in school and keep fighting until I graduate. I’ll probably cut back my workload, sanadyan, when I’m training for a world title fight.
“I’m really excited about fighting at home. I’ll have a lot of people there supporting me. I like pressure and my adrenalin will be pumping. Because of my weight class, I realize that I will need to travel to other countries to fight for titles, but it’s always exciting for me to fight at home in Las Vegas (this will be his sixth pro fight in Las Vegas).”
Former WBA junior featherweight Rico “Suavacito” Ramos (28-5, 13 KOs) squares off against Mexican featherweight Daniel “El Chato” Noreiga (30-11, 15 KOs), a former WBA Fedecentro super flyweight titlist, ing wolung babak, co-featured event on beIN Sports.

‘Great Lakes King’ Ja’Rico O’Quinn to Face Kenya’s Nick Otieno This Friday in Warren, Michigan

2018 is shaping up to be an important year in the budding boxing career of undefeated Detroit-based bantamweight Ja’Rico “The Great Lakes King” O’Quinn.

O’Quinn says he won’t predict what will specifically happen against Otieno, only that he will continue to build his name.
“If it goes the distance, I see myself being dominant and showcasing my talents and skills for all six rounds. If it doesn’t go the distance, I’ll show them what I can do for a while and then get him out of there.”

Philadelphia, Penn. (Juli 26, 2017)–Undefeated bantamweight knockout artist, Christian Carto will headline a nine-bout card at the SugarHouse Casino ing Ana, August 11th.

When asked about his knockout streak, Carto said he does not go in looking for the early stoppage.
“I don’t go in looking for the knockout. I just go out there to box and pick my shots, and if the stoppage comes, nerangake.”
When Carto gets back to Philadelphia, he will be performing in front of a fan base that is one of the best in the Philadelphia region.
“It’s good to get a ton of support, and I enjoy performing in front of them.”
When asked about the busy schedule, Carto leaves it up to his team, which includes his his father Frank and brother Frankie.
“I just train for one fight at a time, and my team tells me that when I am going to fight, I just go back in the gym, but I do want to stay active.”

Lopez San Antonio, Texas will be making his sixth appearance on ShoBox. The 26-year-old was on the cusp of title shot before being stopped by Daniel Roman on Jan. 20th Atlantic City. Lopez has not lost confidence as he is approaching this big fight against the undefeated Dezurn. Lopez also has a new focus as he moved his training camp from Texas to New Jersey.
“This was a tremendous camp in New Jersey. I learned a lot of new stuff, and now I am ready for the fight,” said Lopez.
“I needed a change of scenery, and needed to get out of Texas.”
He knows he is in with a solid fighter in Dezurn, and is prepared for a hard fight.
“Dezurn is a good fighter. He throws a lot of punches, and I am ready for whatever he brings.”
Lopez cites many factors on why he believes his hand will be raised in victory.
“My experience speaks for itself. I am a real 122 pound fighter, and a win should be get me close to knocking of a door of a title shot.”
Davila, 29 years-old will be making his second ShoBox appearance in just his seventh professional fight.
He is coming off a tough eight-round unanimous decision defeat to Dezurn on April 14 in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Ing 2016 U.S. Olympic Alternate is ready for the streaking Greer.
“I had a full camp, and it went great. I am just waiting for the last few days, and I am ready for whatever he will bring.”
Despite Greer being on a ten-fight winning streak, Davila is not fazed by Greer.
“Greer is coming to win just like anyone else that I fight. The fact that I have already gone through this once, being on ShoBox, I am much more comfortable and I will have a great performance on Friday.”

Smith, ing 2008 National Golden Gloves Champion and 2007 Junior Olympic National Champion, debuted on ShoBox in November of 2015, scoring a hard-fought unanimous decision over Benjamin Whitaker. 5-mlaku-7, 26-taun-lawas, will make his third start of the year after taking 2016 off to recover from and ACL injury and the loss of both of his parents within six months of each other. Smith has knocked out both of his opponents this year, Marquis Hawthorne and Edgar Gabejan.
Smith set up training camp in Southern Jersey, and has prepared for this bout with complete focus, and is ready to become a player in the junior welterweight division.
“Camp has been good, and I had a lot of top-notch sparring,” said Smith. “I have been doing a lot of strength and conditioning. This has been a wonderful camp, lan ing July 14th, the fans will see the best Keenan Smith.”
He continued: “My confidence is at 100%. I will beat him, and I am looking to kill The Beast.”
With a win over Baranchyk, Smith feels he can become an immediate contender at junior welterweight.
“The fight will open doors for me and get me bigger and better opportunities.”
Smith’s promoter Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions is fully behind his fighter and believes a breakout performance is in store for Juli 14.
“This will be Keenan’s chance to show what we already know: That he is a vastly talented fighter who has the goods to go a long way in this sport,” Mielnicki said. “He has the pedigree and now this is the stage where he becomes a real commodity in boxing. We are looking for a shining performance on Juli 14.”

Unbeaten talent can become Northern Ireland’s latest World champion on Saturday
