LAS VEGAS (Agost, 10, 2017) – Former world champion and top welterweight contender “Temps De La Funció” Shawn Porter (27-2-1, 17 KOs) will take on former title challenger Thomas Dulorme (24-2, 18 KOs) in a 10-round showdown that headlines Mayweather vs. McGregor preliminary bouts presented by Mayweather Promotions live on GUINEU i FOX Esports Dissabte, Agost. 26 del T-Mobile Arena de Las Vegas.

I had a great performance back in January with a TKO victory, and this fight I plan to bring that same mindset into the ring. I am ready to win and to fight on Floyd Mayweather’s card is a blessing. I have a great team behind me and I am confident. I know my opponent is tough, but he’s just the opponent I need to really show everyone that I am even tougher.”

A physically gifted fighter who had a strong amateur career, Porter became the WBC’s number one contender with a stoppage of Andre Berto in April after a close loss to unified champion Keith Thurman in June 2016 que va obtenir la consideració unànime de la lluita de l'any. The 27-year-old earned five victories from 2015 a través de 2016 and will have an opportunity to make a statement against his toughest opponent to date onAgost 26.

The undercard bouts in the arena will kick-off with 2016 Great Britain Olympian Savannah Marshall making her pro debut in a four-round super middleweight attraction. The 26-year-old from Hartlepool, England was an Amateur World Champion, a Commonwealth Games gold medalist and the only boxer to have ever defeated two-time Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields.

LAS VEGAS (Agost 10, 2017) – Two world championship fights including a title defense by America’s youngest world champion are part of the trio of high stakes matchups on the Mayweather vs. McGregor SHOWTIME PPV undercard on Dissabte, Agost. 26 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and presented by Mayweather Promotions.

Gervonta Davis vs. Francisco Fonseca – IBF Junior Lightweight World Championship
One of the fastest-rising young stars in the sport, Davis (18-0, 17 KOs) became the youngest reigning champion from the U.S. when he knocked out Jose Pedraza in January to capture the IBF 130-pound crown. The 22-year-old made his first title defense in style when he went to London and stopped Liam Walsh in May. Both bouts aired live on SHOWTIME. Representing Baltimore, Davis won the 2012 National Golden Gloves championship and scored knockouts in his first eight fights after turning pro in 2013. He enters this matchup on a streak of nine-straight fights that have ended with a knockout victory.
“I’m really excited to fight as the co-main event on the biggest card in combat sports history,” va dir Davis. “I plan to put on a great show for everyone in attendance in Las Vegas and for those who purchase the PPV. Fighting out of San Ramon, Costa Rica, Fonseca (19-0-1, 13 KOs) ha guanyat 19 straight fights after turning pro with a majority draw in 2013. Fonseca quickly established himself as one of the top fighters from his country with victory after victory, including a fourth-round knockout of Luis Gonzlaez to capture a regional 130-pound belt last August. The 23-year-old will make his U.S. debut when he faces Davis and he enters this contest having won his last five bouts inside of the distance. Fonseca began his 2017 with a third round knockout of Eliecer Lanzas in March and is trained by two-time world champion Ivan Calderon.
“I am super grateful for this great opportunity,” said Fonseca. “The dream of every young boxer is to fight for the world title and this opportunity comes at the best moment of my career and in the biggest in the history of this sport. I will beat Gervonta Davis and I will shock the world that night.”
Nathan Cleverly vs. Badou Jack – WBA Light Heavyweight World Championship
A two-time world champion at light heavyweight, Cleverly (30-3, 16 KOs) bounced back from a defeat to Andrzej Fonfara in a 2015 Fight of the Year contender to defeat hometown champ Juergen Braehmer last October to pick up his WBA title. Cleverly’s previous title reign saw him take down the likes of Tony Bellew, Nadjib Mohammedi, Shawn Hawk and Tommy Karpency before dropping a contest to Sergey Kovalev. The Wales resident will make his fourth start in the U.S., having won two of his first three contests stateside.
“This is a fight I have wanted ever since Badou Jack moved to light heavyweight and I’m delighted to fight in Vegas on an event like this,” Said Hàbilment. “I’ve trained long and hard for this fight and I’m ready to be let off the leash. This is the biggest fight of my career so far and I’m going to do a number on Badou Jack on Agost 26.”
Now fighting in the 175-pound division, Jack’s final fight at 168 pounds came in a title unification on SHOWTIME in January against James DeGale. Gat (21-1-2, 12 KOs) shook off an early knockdown to floor DeGale in the final round in a close majority draw in which both fighters retained their belts. La 2008 Olympian from Gambia won his world title in 2015 by defeating then unbeaten Anthony Dirrell and defended the belt against current champion George Groves and former champion Lucian Bute. The 33-year-old is unbeaten in his last six bouts as he seeks a world title in a second weight class.
“I’m thankful for this opportunity and I’m excited about getting another shot at a world title,” va dir Jack. “To be a part of this event and fighting on this card is historic. Nothing beats it. I’m excited to get back in the ring. I’m getting ready to take that belt, and win a title in my second weight class. The biggest difference between past training camps and preparing for this fight is the fact that I was training to get the weight down, now I’m training to build muscle and perfect my boxing strategy. This will be a tough fight, but I don’t see any issues getting through it. I feel confident and fans can expect a win by knockout or decision. He’s not leaving with that belt. It’s staying right here in Las Vegas.”
Andrew Tabiti vs. Steve Cunningham – 10 Round Cruiserweight Bout
Originally from Chicago but fighting out of Las Vegas, Tabiti (14-0, 12 KOs) recorded victories against previously unbeaten fighters Keith Tapia and Quantis Graves in his last two outings – both on ShoBox: La Nova Generació – as he works to solidify himself as a contender in the red hot cruiserweight division. The 27-year-old turned pro in 2013 after amassing a solid 32-6 amateur record and scored knockout victories in his first 10 baralles. He’ll battle his most experienced opponent to date when he faces the multiple-time champion Cunningham.
“I’ve always been dedicated when it comes to training and this camp has been no different,” va dir en Tabiti. “I know I am fighting a veteran who has a lot of experience, so I can’t slack on my conditioning and training. He’s tough and he’s only been stopped once and that was when he moved up in weight to heavyweight, so it would be a big statement for me to stop him. This fight is a test for me. Anytime you get in the ring you never really know how things will pan out, but I have a great team. To the fans, expect a victory and a great fight on August 26th because I am going to make sure I come out on top.”

Badou Jack, is a Swedish professional boxer who held the WBC Super Middleweight title from 2015 a 2017. Maidana will appear for the first time at this years’ Expo at the World Boxing Association “AMB” booth and will be signing gloves, photos and merchandise. Boxing fans will also have a great opportunity to take pictures with “El Xinès” the Argentinean boxing star. Fans will also be greeted with surprises by Maidana and the WBA at this years’ Expo.
Maidana is an Argentine former professional boxer who competed from 2004 a 2014. He is a two-weight world champion, having held the WBA (Regular) super lightweight title from 2011 a 2012, and the WBA welterweight title from 2013 a 2014. An exciting and versatile pressure fighter to watch in the ring, Maidana was well known for his formidable punching power, always delivery incredible performances and was never stopped in any of his 40 baralles professionals.

BROOKLYN (Jan. 15, 2017) – El núm. 1 i n. 2-els superpesos mitjans classificats del món es van reunir en una unificació per determinar el millor lluitador de 168 lliures del món Dissabte per SHOWTIME. Després de dos derrocaments i 12 intens, rondes d'anada i tornada, la distinció com a millor pes súper mitjà del món encara està en joc.

 

Campió del CMB Badou Jack (20-1-3, 12 KOs) i títol de l'IBF James DeGale (23-1-1, 14 KOs) va lluitar per un empat majoritari de 12 rondes a l'esdeveniment principal de SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING davant de 10,128 Barclays Center a Brooklyn. El combat es va anotar 114-112 (Degale) i 113-113 dues vegades, i l'únic guanyador clar va ser l'esport de la boxa i els seus seguidors.

 

DeGale britànic, fent la tercera defensa del seu cinturó IBF, va començar el drama posant a terra en Jack amb un cop 30 segons per jugar-se en la primera ronda. Va dir Mayweather: “Per aquest camp d'entrenament, No volia estar al seu voltant. No volia parlar amb ell. Volia que es concentrés perquè pogués sortir i tenir raó. És aquest el futur de la boxa?? Abso-fo ***-lutely."

 

Pedraza va admetre que va cometre un error fonamental en lluitar contra el joc de Davis.

 

"L'estratègia era lluitar contra ell des de la distància, però no va funcionar així,", va dir Pedraza. “A cops ho vaig fer, però al final estava intentant fer massa pressió i això no va funcionar.

 

"Hi va haver un moment en què em vaig adaptar al pla de joc que volia, però vaig seguir intentant lluitar amb ell i no va funcionar.

 

"No és cap excusa, però jo estava a 135 lliures i acceptar aquesta lluita potser no va ser el moviment correcte".

 

Amanda Serrano (31-1-1, 23 KOs) va aprofitar l'oportunitat de lluitar en la primera lluita pel títol mundial femení a la televisió nacional en anglès en gairebé una dècada, amb una actuació dominant en la victòria. Serrano va defensar el seu campionat del món de pes ploma júnior de l'OMB davant l'antic campió del món de dues divisions Yazmin Rivas (35-10-1, 10 KOs) per decisió unànime. Els jutges van anotar la baralla 97-97, 98-92, 99-91.

 

Serrano va ser el lluitador més ocupat des de la campana inicial, i va aconseguir gairebé el doble de cops com el seu oponent... 206 comparat amb 107 - mentre connecta d'una manera impressionant 41 per cent dels seus cops de poder.

 

“Sabíem que vindria a lluitar,", va dir Serrano. "És una lluitadora mexicana molt dura i experimentada. Vaig haver de mostrar-li el meu poder i les meves habilitats. Em vaig alegrar de tenir 10 rondes i espero que els aficionats hagin gaudit de la lluita.

 

“Volíem el nocaut, però estava preparat per a 10 rondes. La gent que es pensa que sóc una baralla va veure que avui sóc un gran boxejador. Hem escollit un rival dur perquè volíem demostrar que puc vèncer bons lluitadors i rebre un cop de puny si ho he de fer.. Puc fer tot al ring. Volíem la lluitadora més dura i va venir a lluitar.

 

"Va ser una gran nit per a la boxa femenina i espero que continuï fent-se més i més gran. Volem el millor. El meu objectiu és baixar-hi 118 lliures i guanyar un títol a la meva cinquena divisió. Vull lluitar contra altres campions. El meu objectiu és ser el primer porto-riqueny a tenir títols mundials en cinc categories de pes.”

 

Rivas no va estar d'acord amb la decisió.

 

“Va ser una lluita excel·lent. Vaig seguir totes les instruccions del meu racó i crec que vaig guanyar,", va dir Rivas. “Crec que l'última ronda ha estat molt igualada, però crec que he anat bé en totes les rondes.

 

“Sabia que tot anava en contra meva i per guanyar l'havia de noquejar. Malauradament avui no ha passat. Crec que després d'aquesta lluita, les dones tindran més oportunitats de mostrar les seves habilitats a la televisió.”

 

En un emocionant enfrontament de pesos mitjans invictes que va veure múltiples derrocaments i canvis d'impuls, Immanuel Aleem (17-0-1, 10 KOs) derrotat abans invicte Ievgen Khytrov (14-1, 12 KOs) per nocaut tècnic de la sisena ronda.

 

Aleem va colpejar primer amb una dreta massiva que va sorprendre Khytrov i el va deixar amb els ulls oberts i susceptible de càstig.. Aleem va avançar i va continuar donant cops de puny, però l'ucraïnès s'ha pogut mantenir dempeus per sobreviure a la ronda i tornar a la seva cantonada.

 

Khytrov es va recuperar de manera brillant per guanyar la segona ronda amb les targetes de puntuació dels tres jutges, Incloent 10-8 als ulls d'un jutge. La tercera ronda va veure un primer candidat per a la Ronda de l'Any en la qual Aleem va deixar caure Khytrov amb força amb un fort ganxo d'esquerra que va fer caure Khytrov per primera vegada en la seva carrera.. Khytrov va continuar mostrant una resolució increïble, ja que va poder mantenir-se dempeus i disparar a Aleem amb un tir tardà que gairebé va fer fora Aleem..

 

L'anada i tornada va continuar amb Khytrov aparentment començant a prendre el control del combat fins a la sisena ronda, quan Aleem va aterrar una sèrie de mans dretes per sobre que van tornar a caure Khytrov.. Khytrov va vèncer el recompte, però Aleem va continuar avançant i va colpejar un Khytrov indefens fins que l'àrbitre Eddie Claudio va aturar el combat. 1:20 a la sisena ronda. Aleem va aterrar 50 per cent dels seus cops de força en el combat que estava programat per a 10 rondes.

 

L'inici de la transmissió televisiva va veure l'antic rival al títol Thomas Dulorme (24-2, 16 KOs) guanyar una victòria per nocaut tècnic a la sisena ronda Brian Jones (13-7, 7 KOs) en el seu concurs de pes welter. En el seu primer combat des que va signar amb Mayweather Promotions, el caça porto-riqueny va dominar i controlar la lluita aterrant 46 per cent dels seus cops de poder.

 

Els grans drets i uppercuts van fer la major part del dany primerenc per a Dulorme, ja que va esglaonar Jones en una tercera ronda dominant.. Dulorme va començar a treballar els tirs al cos mentre desgastava Jones, però va fallar baix repetidament a la cinquena ronda i l'àrbitre Shada Murdaugh li va restar un punt.. Dulorme es va poder recuperar a la ronda següent i va fer servir una forta ràfega per forçar l'àrbitre a intervenir i aturar la lluita a 1:49 de la sisena ronda.
