HUMBLE, Teksas (Kolovoz 27, 2021) – Houston boxer Eridson Garcia (14-0, 9 Kos) remained undefeated and captured the vacant North American Boxing Federation (NABF) Super Featherweight Championship, winning the main event last night on the latest installment of RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS, presented by Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing in association with Next Up Fight and the World Cup Boxing Series, at Humble Civic Center, Humble, Teksas.

I’ll have 20 wins and that should position me at the next level, especially fighting on UFC FIGHT PASS. I’ve never fought on a televised (or streamed) show before.


“I’m a boxer-puncher with real good power and speed. I’m a big guy for my weight class and smart. I do a lot of different things and I definitely have a lot of heart.”

Vera vs. Pendarvis suddenly and surprisingly ended midway through the opening round, when Pendarvis (21-8-2, 9 Kos), a former USBA champion, stopped throwing punches and went to his knees. He was counted out with what is believed to be a hand injury.

"Dobro,” Vera (20-1, 12 Kos) said after the fight, “the way my fight ended was anticlimactic. I was feeling really good and calm in there. I was just finding my range, establishing my jab and calculating. He threw a jab to the body and I blocked it with my elbow. I felt his knuckle hit my elbow. Vera has now won his last two fight since suffering his only loss as a professional back in 2018, when he traveled to France as a world rated fighter to take onMichel Soro(31-2-1) for the WBA Interim junior middleweight title, in which Vera lost a 12-round unanimous decision.

“I would like to get in the ring as soon as possible,” Vera added. “I wanted rounds, so it’s time to get right back in there. I’m unscathed and in shape.”

The 10-round main event pits undefeated Californian Huan “Just Business” Barajas (11-0, 7 Kos) against Mexican knockout artist Bruno “Tiburon” Sandoval (21-4-1, 17 Kos), for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Latino super middleweight title.

Gomez is a technically sound, aggressive power punched. The 2-time Cuban Youth champion is the son of 1980 Zlatne olimpijske medalje Jose Gomez.

De La Torre, who had more than 150 amaterske utakmice, is dropping down from junior lightweight to super bantamweight, assuring undefeated Mexican Isus “Panterita” Daniel Tamez (6-0, 5 Kos) a significant size advantage in their 6-round fight.

Bruzon, 22, bio 2014 Cuban National Youth champion. A southpaw with great hand speed and power, Bruzon faces Jose “El Titan” Vazquez (6-4-1, 3 Kos) in a 6-rounder.

Unbeaten California welterweight Raiden “Mortal Kombat” Jace Martinez (5-0, 5 Kos) is also scheduled to fight in a 4-rounder against TBA off-UFC FIGHT PASS.
