Tento týždeň na FNU Combat Sports Show, Psychic Tom and Rabble Rousin’ Rich start off with a great interview with pro boxer Anthony Laureano. The Connecticut professional boxer is coming off a big win on the undercard of the Joe Smith Jr. fight at the end of June. We also recap last week’s boxing and MMA action, highlighted by Daniel Cormier’s monumental win over Stipe Miocic to become the first two belt holder in the UFC since McGregor. Tony joins the broadcast after the Laureano interview to give his take on Brock’s return to the UFC after going back to the WWE at the end of his first UFC stint. We also touch upon the Danny O’Connor fight being called off due to severe dehydration suffered by O’Connor. Konečne, we preview upcoming events and briefly discuss a rumored rematch between Vitali Klitschko and Lennox Lewis.

Tento týždeň na FNU Combat Sports Show, Tomáš, Tony and Rich look back at Bellator 201, a new candidate for “Round roka” in the Zappavigna/Saucedo fight, Golden Boy making moves in boxing and MMA, and the increasing push by streaming services to drain away the PPV dollar from sports fans. We start off discussing concussion symptoms that led to the withdrawal of Max Holloway from the co-main event of UFC 226 tento týždeň.

 

Of course we also preview a huge weekend for the UFC with The TUF Finale tonight and the long-awaited UFC 226 main event of Stipe Miocic putting his heavyweight belt on the line against Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

Tento týždeň na FNU Combat Sports Show, we discuss the latest news in MMA and boxing, recap the past week’s events and preview the upcoming events this week. We also discuss Walter “2 Guns” Wright winning his main event fight against Mark DeLuca a couple days after we interviewed him last week. Wright’s split decision win came in part due to a persistent jab that frustrated DeLuca and left him bloodied, bruised and exhausted by the final bell. Of course bringing up this fact gets us all going on the absolute necessity of the jab in any combat sports fighter’s toolbox.

Among the news we touch on:

The rumors about Manny Pacquiao’s next fight with Lucas Matthysse being in jeopardy, Manny and his team say everything is on track.

Johny “Big Rig” Hendricks retires (also forgot to mention Rashad Evans retired as well).

 

The latest cast for The Contender Series, set to return this August featuring 16 up and coming young boxers in the 160-pound division.

 

Lyoto Machida’s defection from the UFC to Bellator and Bellator’s blockbuster deal with DAZN, a streaming service working to take over new markets this year, including the US and Italy.

We also recapped all of last week’s boxing and MMA events and provided some other news tidbits like the Creed II trailer release and Ronda Rousey’s 30-day suspension from the WWE. Tomáš, Tony a Rich majú v tejto epizóde veľa práce. Zhrnieme najdôležitejšie zápasy minulého týždňa, počnúc prvým povoleným boxerským podujatím bareknuckle po stovkách rokov. Rozoberáme aj najnovšiu kartu UFC Fight Night, kde Jimmie Rivera utrpel prvú prehru vo svojej poslednej 21 boja. Diskutujeme o tiráde Dana Whitea proti bojovníkom, ktorí neznášajú boje, ktoré od nich spoločnosť chce, a odpálime Canela Alvareza a jeho tím za zničenie všetkých šancí na ďalší boj s GGG. Vezmeme si veľkú časť šou, aby sme načrtli a analyzovali všetky rôzne boxerské zápasy, ktoré sa konajú túto sobotu, od návratu Tysona Furyho do ringu proti Seferovi Seferimu až po bitku libry o najlepšie a neporazených welterových váh Jeremyho Horna a Terrence Crawforda bojujúcich na ESPN+ (ktoré veľmi kritizujeme). Dotýkame sa aj debutovej karty pre PFL, bojová liga, v ktorej všetky odmeny prichádzajú na konci sezóny. Konečne, Ukážeme si UFC 225 a diskutujte o šanciach CM Punka ukázať sa ako skutočný bojovník v klietke.

Tento týždeň na FNU Combat Sports Show, Tomáš, Tony a Rich diskutujú o širokej škále tém. Začíname dohodou o vysielacích právach ESPN/UFC na päť rokov, 30 bojové karty a $1.5 miliardy. Diskutujeme aj o boji medzi promotérmi boxu v poslednom čase s Bobom Arumom a britským nováčikom Eddiem Hearnom, ktorí sa snažia získať voľných hráčov, zatiaľ čo sa snažia zaplniť miesta na plánované vystúpenia v Spojených štátoch v priebehu budúceho roka.. Pokračujeme v rekapitulácii minulotýždňovej akcie bojových športov, zvýraznenie zápasu Adonis Stevenson vs. Väčšinový žreb Badou Jacka a hlavička 5-kolového snoozefestu Usman vs Maia minulú sobotu večer kartu UFC Fight Night. Samozrejme, máme tiež ukážku víkendových boxerských zápasov a kariet UFC a Bellator vychádzajúcich z Anglicka. Dotýkame sa dokonca regulácie bareknuckle boxu a tvrdenia Bobbyho Gunna, že v tomto športe neboli zaznamenané žiadne úmrtia.. This week’s fight news unlimited combat sports show is a great mix of boxing and mixed martial arts. Tomáš, Tony and Rich cover all the action from last weekend and marvel at the master of his craft that is Vasyl Lomachenko. We discuss Chuck Liddell coming out of retirement with Golden Boy MMA, and Tito Ortiz taking the debate to be his first opponent. We also have a bit of a debate about Raquel Pennington telling her corner she wanted to be done after the fourth round against Amanda Nunes. Her coaches pep talked her into continuing, which led to more blood loss and facial damage from a clearly more hyped up and fresh opponent. Tomáš, Tony and Rich recap last week’s boxing action, including the quick KO of Vanes Martirosyan by Gennady Golovkin. We also look ahead to Ryan Bader vs. King Mo Lawal in the Bellator Heavyweight Tournament. Ďalej, Raquel Pennington takes on Amanda Nunes at UFC 224, and Pennington will likely have to win by knockout to get the belt in the Brazilian backyard of Nunes. We also chat about the week’s major news stories in combat sports, namely Chuck Liddell wanting a rematch with Tito Ortiz and Oscar De La Hoya promising to promote the fight in a new MMA venture for the boxing legend and promotional kingpin. Nedávno, after our broadcast Thursday night, Tito and Chuck moved much closer to that trilogy fight with Tito announcing he is coming out of retirement for the bout.
