ADONIS “SUPERMAN” STEVENSON PUMMELS TOMMY KARPENCY TO RETAIN LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CROWN
Toronto (Septembro 11, 2015) – It’s been 30 years since a world championship title fight was fought in Toronto – and the exuberant crowd at Ricoh Coliseum welcomed boxing back with hard-hitting action on the main televised card of the Premier Boxing Champions on Spike.

“Superman” Adonis Stevenson (26-1), the light heavyweight world champion put his coveted belt on the line in front of his fellow Canadian countrymen against the gritty American challenger Tommy Karpency (25-4-1). Attempting to be kryptonite to “Superman,” Karpency was out-classed by the stronger and quicker Stevenson. In the first round, Stevenson began his onslaught with a big left that buckled Karpency’s legs. A straight left hand at the end of round 2 knocked Karpency to his knees. With a boisterous partisan crowd behind him, Stevenson finished Karpency off with a devastating TKO at 21 seconds of round 3.

A jubilant Stevenson chanted “Oh Canada!!” before calling out champ Sergei Kovalev. “C’mon Kovalev – it’s time to fight for the unified title.”

En la co-#?efa?o, Errol Spence Jr. (17-0) put his unblemished record on the line in the opening bout of the main card against the dangerous South African welterweight Chris Van Heerden (23-1-1) riding an 9-fight winning streak.

Spence, oni 2012 Olympian, showed off his world- class pedigree by pounding his opponent with brutal body shots and a flurry of jabs that nearly closed Van Heerden’s left eye. After two knockdowns in the 7th round, Spence’s dominating performance was punctuated by a flurry of punches that led referee Alan Huggins to stop the fight at 50 seconds of round 8.

Spence will now set his sights on moving up the ladder in the talented welterweight division occupied by big names such as Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter.

When asked in the ring what is next for him he responded “I want to fight anyone in the top 10- I think I deserve it.”

Also on the televised card, former light welterweight champ “Vicious” Vivien Harris (32-10-2) De Brooklyn, NY battled undefeated prospect Prichard Colon (15-0) of Puerto Rico. Colon showed off his power as he dominated his veteran opponent – ending the bout at 1:03 in the 4th round with a punishing knockout. The rising star, who honored the victims of 9-11 on his robe, is bullish on his future. “It’s great to put a win over a former world champion on my resume.”

A world champion at 140 and 147-pounds, the 28-year-old Alexander makes his 2015 debut looking for a performance that will vault him back into title contention. Alexander owns victories over Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, Randall Bailey and Lee Purdy. La St. Louis-native is 4-2 in world title fights with his most recent victory coming via a dominant decision over Jesus Soto Karass.
The 33-year-old Martinez is coming off of a controversial decision loss to Robert Guerrero, in a fight where Martinez dropped Guerrero for the second time in his career and appeared within seconds of being awarded a stoppage victory. The Mexican veteran Montiel has won world titles across three weight classes throughout his long career that began as a 17-year-old in 1996. He won his first world title in 2000 over Isidro Garcia and went on to have title winning performances over Pedro Alzacar, Ivan Hernandez, Z Gorres, Ciso Morales and Hozumi Hasegawa. Born in Sinaloa, Meksiko, Montiel is riding an eight-fight win streak heading into this match and returns to fight in the U.S. for the first time since 2011.

A National Golden Gloves champion who has fought as a pro since 2008, O’Connorgets a chance to avenge his defeat to Bracero when they square off Oktobro 10. The 30-year-old is coming off of three straight knockout victories over Michael Clark, Andrew Farmer and Chris Gilbert. Fighting out of Framingham, Massachusetts, O’Connor is looking to impress in a fight on his home turf.
Bracero has won nine of his 11 fights since defeating O’Connor in 2011 and hopes to see a repeat of that performance on Oktobro 10. Fighting out of Brooklyn, the 34-year-old owns victories over Dmitry Salita, Pavel Miranda and Jermaine White. He will be going into unfriendly territory for his first pro fight in Massachusetts.
Owner of a perfect knockout percentage, Guzman looks to build off of his last three fights, all knockouts coming in the New England region. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Respubliko, the 26-year-old fighting out of Lawrence, Massachusetts faces the toughest challenge of his career and will look to make his mark as a 122-pound contender.
The 25-year-old Aquino made his mark with a hard fought victory over the previously undefeated Kielczweski in April and returns to New England in hopes of taking down another unbeaten prospect. Portita en Meksiko, Aquino fights out of Meriden Connecticut and owns victories over Jhon Alberto Molina and Coy Evans and will hope to make it three wins in a row on Oktobro 10.
A runner-up in the 2008 National Golden Glove tournament, the 25-year-old Kielczweski has become a staple fighting in his home state of Massachusetts. Born and raised in Quincy, he bounced back from his first defeat to deliver a first round knockout over Anthony Napunyi in May. Another tough challenge awaits “La pola Princo” as he looks to prove his world title worth.
Brooklyn’s Vazquez has kept a busy schedule in 2015 and will return for his fifth fight this year when he challenges Kielczweski. While the 37-year-old Vazquez is ranked highly in the world rankings at number seven and is seeking a world title opportunity, fame and glory are not his top priorities. With an autistic daughter and a wife diagnosed with cervical cancer, Vazquez fights for his family. Getting a late start to boxing, Vazquez, who lost both of his parents at an early age and endured a stint in prison as a wayward youth, turned pro in September 2010. He has since donated portions of his purses to autism research, while also holding fundraisers to help raise awareness.

The meet-and-greet opportunities are part of PBC’s ongoing commitment to elevating the boxing fan experience – providing all fans access to the best fights and fighters in the sport through partnerships with network partners CBS, ESPN, FS1, NBC, NBCSN, Spike, BounceTV, FOX Deportes and ESPN Deportes.

The son of famous power-puncher Julian “La Falko” Jackson, the 28-year-old and his brother John were both 2008 Olympians for their native Virgin Islands. Upland, Kalifornio (Septembro 9, 2015) – Pinta Usono. superpezula perspektivo Dominic “Problemo” Breazeale (15-0, 14 KO’s) will be returning to the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) series on October 13th. After debuting on the televised portion of the PBC series this past June on NBC, Breazeale will be headlining the main event in the new PBC series “TOE-al-piedfingra Tuesdays” en Fox Sports 1.
Breazeale is on an accelerated path to heavyweight title contention and continues to face significantly tougher opposition. La 2012 Usono. Olympian will face Cameroon native Fred Kassi (18-3-1, 10 KO’s) in a scheduled 10 rounds. Both men are coming off impressive outings and this bout is expected to be a slug fest between the two heavyweights.
This past June, Breazeale stopped Yasmany Consuegra in three rounds in a battle of undefeated heavyweights in which most indicated was his toughest test yet. Although Breazeale was on the receiving end of a few punches in the first round, he found his range and dropped his opponent in the end of the 2nd round and then two more times in the 3rd round resulting in the stoppage.
It was a great experience for Breazeale and he continues to learn and mature in every bout. “My last bout against Yasmany Consuegra was definitely a great experience and I learned a lot from it. I got hit more than what I would have liked but this is boxing and you’re going to get hit. In this training camp I have been focusing on my defense with my trainer John Bray so I’m not getting hit with punches that I shouldn’t be hit with. The heavyweight division is a division that can end with one punch and I am fortunate to have a good chin and knockout power.”

His opponent Fred Kassi is coming off a 10 round majority draw against Chris Arreola. Some boxing scribes thought he should have been awarded the decision against the veteran Arreola as Kassi landed more punches in the fight. This upcoming bout against Fred Kassi is one that will definitely place Dominic Breazeale in contender status and he is looking forward to it.
“After my last bout, I spoke with Al Haymon and let him know I am ready to get back in the ring very soon. I also asked for a tough opponent and I am now facing Fred Kassi. I respect Kassi and I know this will be a tough fight for me. To go all ten rounds with Arreola and the fight result in a draw shows that Kassi can box and fight. I have been preparing well in camp and I’m ready for the challenge.”
Breazeale is also excited that he will again fight in front of a nationally televised audience and will be headlining his first main event. “Since I turned professional three years ago, this is what I always wanted to do. I grew up watching Riddick Bowe and wanted to see my face on a poster of the main event. I realize the position I am in and know that a world title shot is not far away.”

Hollywood, CA (Septembro 8, 2015) — Iama mondĉampiono Aŭstino “Neniu Dubo” Trutoj,(30-2, 17 KOs) scored a sensational sixth round knockout over contender Joey “Brileti Fingrojn” Hernandez, (24-4-1,14 KOs) on Tuesday night in the main event debut ofSuperegaj Boksaj #?ampiono Sur FS1 Kaj VULPO Deportes’ TOE-al-piedfingra Tuesdaysfrom a packed house at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, Kalifornio.
Working behind a piston-like jab from the opening bell, Trout of Las Cruces, NM scored at will and frustrated Hernandez of Miami, FL throughout the fight.
In the fourth stanza Hernandez was deducted a point by referee Jack Reiss for body slamming Trout to the canvas.
Trout ended the fight in style as a barrage of punches sent Hernandez stumbling to the canvas where he was counted out at the 3:00 mark of the sixth round. Scores at the time of the stoppage were 50-44 sur ĉiuj tri poentokartoj.

Stated Hernandez in defeat:
“From the first round, I had no legs. I was conditioned, but the day of the weigh-in I had to lose nine pounds. It is hard to come back from that.
“I’m going back to the drawing board after this rough loss. My mind wanted to do it, but my body couldn’t get it done.
“I was trying to catch him because he wasn’t really hurting me until the body shots that ended it.
“I’m too good a fighter to become a full blown opponent.”
In the co-featured, scheduled eight rounder, undefeated light heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali,12-0 (11 KOs) continued to shine, drilling Brazilian Fabiano Pena, 11-3-1 (8 KOs) to the canvas with a massive right halt, which ended the bout. Time of the stoppage was 1:15 of the opening stanza.
Said Elbiali after his first round KO:
“I didn’t have enough time to really show what I can do.
“I want to show people I can box. I do have great defense. I have great footwork.
“I’m sure one day I will go toe-to-toe with a great fighter, but until that day comes, I am going to keep knocking people out.
Opening the telecast featherweights’ waged war as Georgo Lara, 27-0-2 (19KOs) De Guadalajara, Mexico and Jesus Rojas, 22-1-2 (15KOs) de Caguas, Puerto Rico battled in a scheduled ten round tilt.
Lara was badly cut twice during the bout from a clash off heads. Following the sixth round the bout was stopped as Lara stated to the referee he was unable to see.
Scorecard tallies were 57-57 from all three judges resulting in a very disappointing technical draw.
Stated Rojas after the draw:
“I came here to fight like a man and I’m very disappointed. I wish it didn’t end that way, with an accidental head butt.
“I am definitely looking for a rematch, but I want it to be in Puerto Rico. I came to his house with his crowd and now I want to box and bang on the island.
Said Lara:
“I’m very upset with the way this went. Rojas is a dirty fighter. I came to fight and show people what this sport is all about.
“My eye just kept getting worse and worse as the fight went on. There was no way I could continue.”

Rounding out the night of fights is 27-year-old Canadian Olympian Custio Clayton (4-0, 3 KOs) facing 31-year-old Davide Doria (12-0-1, 4 KOs) out of Bayern, Germany in a six-round super welterweight bout, 34-year-old Toronto native Sandy “Lil’ Tyson” Tsagouris against 32-year-old Australian Shannon “Ĉaspafilo” O’Connell (11-3, 6 KOs) in a six-round featherweight attraction.

Kiel amatoro, Colon was a five-time Puerto Rican national champion prior to turning pro in 2013. Trained by his father, Colon has been stylistically compared to fellow countryman Felix Trinidad, with all but one of his knockouts coming in five rounds or less. The 22-year-old scored a spectacular knockout in his last fight over tough veteran Michael Finney and will look to keep his momentum going into September 11 when he takes on the 37-year-old former champion Harris who fights out of Brooklyn by way of Guyana.
Born in East Meadow, New Jersey but fighting out of Richmond, Virginio, Aleem was introduced to boxing from a young age by his parents. An accomplished amateur from Romania, Dan fights out of Montreal and hopes to start his climb towards a second world title opportunity in front of his adopted hometown fans on September 11. The 34-year-old owns two victories over Canadian rival Kevin Bizier plus triumphs over Steve Forbes and Damian Frias. He will be opposed by the 30-year-old Giuriceo out of Youngstown, Ohio who was undefeated in his first 17 Profesiaj bataloj.
Fighting out out of Ontario, the exciting brawler Carman heads into the ring looking to defend the Canadian title that he won with a seventh-round stoppage of Eric Martel Bahoeli in October 2014. He followed that up with another late stoppage victory, this time over Benito Quiroz in March. The 29-year-old faces the highest profile challenge of his career when he steps into the ring with the 51-year-old Ruddock. Fighting out of Ontario by way of Jamaica, Ruddock has won twice in 2015 since coming out of a 14-year retirement. Ruddock has been in the ring with some of the best of all time, twice facing Mike Tyson and also battling Lennox Lewis in their primes.
The 33-year-old Cave has had a successful career fighting out of Nova Scotia, Canada and looks to again impress the fans of his home country. He enters this contest on a three-fight win streak, all in 2015, with two ending by stoppage. He enters the ring against the 36-year-old Paniagua who fights out of Santa Fe, Argentina and is coming off of an August victory over Diego Miguel Ramirez.
