Full Night Of Undercard Action Begins At 7:00 p.m. ET!
 
BETHLEHEM, PA (September 21, 2015) – Undefeated prospects Caleb Plant (9-0, 8 KOs)and Kyrone Davis (8-0, 4 KOs) will enter the ring in separate undercard bouts on Tuesday, September 22 from Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, PA with the first bout starting at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The September 22 event is headlined by Philadelphia’s unbeaten rising star Julian “J-Rock” Williams (20-0-1, 12 KOs) taking on Argentina’s Luciano “El Principito” Cuello (35-3, 17 KOs) on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and FOX Deportes. Televised coverage begins at 9 p.m. ET with unbeaten super bantamweight Moises “Chucky” Flores (23-0, 16 KOs) facing Argentine knockout artist Luis Emanuel “La Ardilla” Cusolito (21-1, 19 KOs).
Plant will compete in a super middleweight bout against Jamar Freeman (13-4-2, 7 KOs) while Davis takes on Gilbert Alex Sanchez (6-6-1) in middleweight action.

Further undercard fights feature 26-year-old Brooklyn-native Carlos Gongora (2-0, 1 KO) against veteran Michael Gbenga (20-22, 20 KOs) in a six-round middleweight affair, 26-year-old Sammy Quinones (9-3, 4 KOs) of York, PA battling 24-year-old Puerto Rican Ken Alvarez (6-2-2, 3 KOs) in a six-round welterweight bout and Bethlehem-nativeRick Nuno (2-0, 1 KO) taking on Nicholas Hernandez (1-1) out of Lebanon, PA in a four round super-welterweight fight.
Rounding out the action is 24-year-old Brooklyn-native Earl Newman (6-0, 5 KOs) in a four-round cruiserweight bout, 23-year-old Philadelphia-born Seifullah Jihad Wise (2-0) against 28-year-old Ismael Serrano (3-1, 1 KO) in a four-round lightweight battle and 18-year-old Brooklyn-native Chris “Lil’ B-Hop” Colbert (2-0, 2 KOs) in four-rounds of featherweight action against Puerto Rican Jose Carmona (1-1).
Undefeated with all but one victory coming by knockout, the 23-year-old Plant returns to the ring fresh off of a first round stoppage of Zoltan Sera on August 15. The Ashland, Tennessee-born fighter will be fighting at Sands Bethlehem Events Center for the second time this year as he earned a TKO victory over Juan Carlos Rojas in June at the venue. He will step into the ring against the 30-year-old Freeman out of New Haven, CT.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Davis was the first boxer from Delaware to win two national amateur tournaments triumphs at the National PAL tournament and Adidas National Tournament. The 20-year-old was an alternate for the USA Boxing Team and has kept his momentum going since turning pro last year. He’s picked up three victories in 2015 including his most recent win, a first-round knockout of Jose Alberto Leal in June. He faces the 30-year-old Camden, NJ-born Sanchez.

LAS VEGAS, NV (September 21, 2015) – One of Latin America’s most exciting young boxers, Javier “El Abejon” Fortuna (28-0-1, 20 KOs), will defend his world title against Puerto Rican Olympian Carlos Ivan Velasquez (19-1, 12 KOs) on Tuesday, September 29 from The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort.
The 12-round main event will be broadcast live on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and FOX Deportes (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT).
 
Born in La Romana, Dominican Republic, the undefeated Fortuna is an explosive puncher with dynamite in either fist. He is in his second stint as a super featherweight world champion. Fortuna is trained by Hector Bermudez in Boston. As an amateur, he was a member of the Dominican National Team, won a Pan American silver medal and gold medal at the Dominican National Championships.He beat Costa Rican Bryan Vasquez for his title on May 23 of this year.
How is training going and have you done anything differently in training for this fight?
Training is going well. I’m always in great shape. I show up to camp in great shape. I normally don’t spar much in training, but for this camp I’ve already got a lot of rounds in. I’ve been sparring a lot to work on shortening up my punches and throwing them straighter.
Tell me how it feels to be a world champion again:
I’m blessed to have gotten another opportunity to be champion again. I feel on top of the world. I don’t plan on giving up my title ever again.
What do you think of your opponent as a fighter?
He’s a good amateur fighter, making the transition to pro, but he hasn’t yet completed that task. At times, he keeps his guard up really high and shows no regard of people going to his body. But this is a huge opportunity for him, so he will be at his absolute best that night. I think I will knock him out. He stands up too straight and I will catch him, but he’s a good boxer with a good record. Hopefully he’ll show up with no excuses.
What does boxing mean to you?
Boxing is my life. It is give and take. It’s my life and I’ve given a lot to it and sacrificed a lot, but I’ve been rewarded very well for my efforts.
What does this fight mean to you?
I have to get through fights like this to make it to the top of boxing. I need to be impressive in fights like this to keep my name on people’s lips and keep climbing up the ladder.
How important are your fans to you?
They mean everything to me. I talk to fans every day back home. They keep me motivated. I do this for them. I’m very proud to be able to give the history of Latino boxing another world champion and I hope to make them proud of my accomplishments.

WINTER PARK, FLA (September 18, 2015) – The main event of Premier Boxing Champions – The Next Round onBounce TV delivered a crowd-pleasing unanimous decision win (96 – 92, 97 – 91, 96 – 92) by Jamal James (18-0, 9 KOs) as he outmatched Juan Carlos Abreu (18-2-1, 17 KOs) to stay undefeated. James went down in the fourth round, but battled back to take over the bout, knocking Abreu down in the sixth round and never looking back.
The co-main event showcased an action-packed brawl as Erickson Lubin (12-0, 9 KOs) stopped Orlando Lora (31-6-2, 19 KOs) at one minute fifty-eight seconds into the sixth round. Lubin knocked Lora into the ropes in the second round for what was ruled a knockdown.
The televised opener saw Wilky Campfort (21-1, 12 KOs) stop Ronaldo Montes (16-3, 14 KOs) with only one second remaining in the second round. Campfort was knocked down in the opening round, but fought back to knock down Montes three times in the second round. Montes’ corner intervened to stop the fight as the second round came to a close.
Here is what the televised fighters had to say about their performances:
JAMAL JAMES
“I adapted my style and started boxing more as the fight went on. Eventually I was able to time it right for when he came at me so I could strike first.
“He caught me with a right in the fourth that dropped me, but I didn’t feel too buzzed.
“Hopefully a win like this pushes me even further. I wanted to show my skills, but he was a formidable fighter. This was a great step-up fight for me to show people I’m not just a paper fighter.
“I’m looking for more opportunities with PBC. This was an honor to get to fight in the main event on Bounce TV.
“I’ll fight whoever my manager Al Haymon wants me to fight next. I can’t wait to get back in the gym and continue refining my skills.”
JUAN CARLOS ABREU
“I’m very disappointed in my performance. He’s a good fighter. I knew that, but I was surprised he was able to hurt me with his punches.
“I didn’t fight the way I wanted to. In the first round, I got head-butted and I never really recovered. I was buzzed the whole fight after that and when he hit me, it hurt me more than it normally would.”
ERICKSON LUBIN
“My corner helped me all fight. Every time I went to my corner they were helping me make the right adjustments.
“I kept telling myself that if (Lora) throws two punches then I’m going to throw four. If he threw four, I’d throw eight. I wanted to double his effort and show that I have more will than him. I didn’t want this fight to go this distance.
“Fighting on PBC on Bounce TV is going to help my career take off. I wanted to make a statement on TV so I could start stepping up my competition. I’m working towards a title shot.”
ORLANDO LORA
“I was not surprised at his power. I took his punches to my head very well, but my legs were shot. So I couldn’t move and had to stay in the pocket with him.
“He caught me in the beginning of the fight in the solar plexus and that took my legs away from me for the rest of the fight. He hit me so hard to the body I couldn’t breathe and my legs went numb.
“The stoppage was right. I would have loved to finish the ten rounds, but my corner knew I wasn’t going to go much longer.”
WILKY CAMPFORT
“I’ve always been a slow starter. At the start of the first round I wasn’t listening to my corner and (Montes) caught me off guard. But I got up and showed people what I came here to do.
“(Montes) is a knockout artist in his own right, but I’m a throwback fighter. I’ll fight anyone they put in front of me no matter how tough the other guy is.
“Fighting on this PBC card on Bounce TV is huge. These are the fights I need to be in, fighting a tough opponent and on TV. I showed the fans my heart and that I can punch.
“I want whoever they tell me to fight next. This is a business and I’m in it to win.”
RONALDO MONTES
“When I hurt him with that jab I thought I had him, but Campfort is a very strong guy.
“I got overconfident.  My plan was to box him but when I dropped him, I went in for the kill and got caught up in a brawl. That was not my plan. I was going to outbox him. It’s my fault.”

Caleb Truax was forced to withdraw from his fight with Fernando Guerrero due to medical issues.
The co-main event of the evening will pit undefeated rising star Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin (11-0, 8 KOs) against experienced Mexican Orlando Lora (31-5-3, 19 KOs) in a 10-round affair. Born in Haiti but fighting out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Campfort has not lost since his second pro fight in 2009. The 30-year-old has fought professionally in the U.S., Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic and his native-Haiti. He’s won five fights since the beginning of 2014 including stoppages of Milton Nunez and Devon Moncrieffe. He will be opposed by Barranquilla, Colombia’s Montes who will be making his U.S. debut.
An undefeated fighter out of Anasco, Puerto Rico, Figueroa looks to make an impression when he steps through the ropes on September 18. The 24-year-old has already been victorious twice in 2015 by defeating Jose Valderrama and James Robinson. He takes on Paliza out of Sinaloa, Mexico who turned pro in January of this year and has racked up four victories by stoppage in that time.
The 22-year-old Galarza will be fighting not far from his native Orlando, Florida when he enters the ring on September 18. He enters this fight with four-straight victories inside the distance. He faces the 25-year-old Uribe out of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico who will be making his second U.S. start.
Fighting out of Tampa, Florida, the exciting Jones will make his first start of 2015 as part of the undercard action onSeptember 18. The 23-year-old’s last outing saw him defeat William Lorenzo in a fight in Puerto Rico. He’s opposed by fellow unbeaten 23-year-old Harris out of Pensacola, Florida.

LAS VEGAS, NV (September 16, 2015) – Less than two weeks away from hisTuesday, September 29 super-featherweight world title showdown against undefeated world champion boxer Javier “El Abejon” Fortuna (28-0-1, 20 KOs), Carlos Ivan Velasquez (19-1, 12 KOs) is gearing up for the fight of his life.  He fights on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS headlined by Fortuna vs. Velasquez, a scheduled 12-round bout from The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT).
Velásquez was born in Cataño, Puerto Rico where he and his twin brother both competed in amateur boxing growing up. He was a member of the 2004 Puerto Rican Olympic boxing team, but also won the featherweight title at the Central American and Caribbean Games. Training out of Las Vegas, NV with esteemed boxing trainer Roberto Norris, Velasquez shares his thoughts on training camp, fighting for Puerto Rico and fulfilling his dream of becoming a world champion.

A two-way player (tight end and defensive end) at the University of Southern California, Washington spent time with the Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills practice squads on his unconventional path that led him to boxing. The 33-year-old also worked in the Navy as a helicopter mechanic before going to USC and did not get his start in professional boxing until 2012. Fighting out of San Jose, California, he is yet to lose in his latest endeavor and most recently defeated Jason Gavern in March and will be facing his toughest competition against Mansour.
An exciting pressure fighter out of Wilmington, Delaware, Mansour looks for his third straight victory on October 13. The 43-year-old owns victories over Dominick Guinn, Epifanio Mendoza and Kelvin Price. His last two outings ended with an impressive knockout of Fred Kassi and a victory over Joey Dawejko.
Since turning professional in early 2013 following the London Olympic Games, the 27-year-old Hunter, fighting out of Las Vegas, NV, has continued to shine. With three victories in 2015, the last two by knockout he will be looking to march again into the win column.
A native of Cairo, Egypt now residing in Miami, FL the 24-year-old Elbiali makes a quick return to the ring following a first round knockout of Fabiano Peno on Tuesday, September 8 at the debut of FS1’s TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS at the Hollywood, Palladium.

Upland, California (September 16, 2015) – In a change of events a month prior to his scheduled main-event bout on October 13th, top

U.S. heavyweight prospect Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (15-0, 14 KO’s) will now be returning to the ring on the Premier Boxing Champions series on September 26th on prime time television.  Breazeale, who opened up the Premier Boxing Champions Series (PBC) this past June, will be the co-main event on the Wilder-Duhaupas card in Birmingham, Alabama.
The 2012 U.S. Olympian will still face Cameroon native Fred Kassi (18-3-1, 10 KO’s) in a scheduled 10-round bout.  Breazeale, who has been training hard in camp is excited about the opportunity and is truly looking forward to this upcoming bout.

“When I received the call from my adviser Al Haymon this past week asking me if I was open to bumping up my bout to the 26th, I was all for it.  To be able to fight on prime time television on NBC is a blessing.  I remember speaking with my grandmother before my last bout who doesn’t have cable and she was able to see me last time on regular television.  It means a lot to me that she is able to watch me again.”

CALIFORNIA, PA. (September 16, 2015) – Sergeant Sammy “The Who Can Mexican” Vasquez (20-0, 14 KOs)put on a show Tuesday night for his hometown fans on his way to fifth-round stoppage of Jose “Piston” Lopez (25-4-1, 15 KOs) on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and FOX Deportes from the Convocation Center at California State University of Pennsylvania in California, PA.
Vasquez came out strong from the start, beating the hard-charging Lopez to the punch consistently in the early rounds. In the fourth round, Vasquez wobbled Lopez several times with hard combinations.
In the fifth round Vasquez took over the fight, dropping him early in the round with another flurry. Lopez was able to barely beat the count, but only lasted a few moments longer when Vasquez dropped him with another combination, prompting referee Gary Rosato to put a halt to fight 1:08 into the round.
Vasquez was dangerously effective with his power punches, landing 108 out of 189 thrown, giving him a 57.1 percentage with those punches. The hometown favorite had won every round on the judges’ scorecards at the time of the stoppage.
In the opening televised bout, Omar “Super O” Douglas (15-0, 11 KOs) remained undefeated by beating Braulio Santos (22-2-1, 15 KOs) by unanimous decision in a rough and tumble fight. Both men were deducted a point over the 10-rounds, with Douglas losing a point in round four for hits behind the head and Santos being deducted for low blows in round seven.
Douglas started the fight fast, attacking the body and earning a first round knockdown with a stiff jab that caught Santos off-guard. Douglas followed that up in round two, connecting on a left hook that sent Santos to the canvas.
Douglas had a decided advantage in power punches landed with a 165-117 discrepancy, per CompuBox. The final judges totals were 99-87, 97-89 and 96-90.
SAMMY VASQUEZ
“He was real wild and the last thing I wanted was to get caught with a lucky shot. His body was wide open every time he came with the right hand. When he came in with the double right hand he left his ribs wide open.
“I wanted to key-in on the body, but his head was right there. He bent over and was ready to take punches.
“I was ready for him and I put the speed combo on him and it was over. I knew I was going to get him out of there.
“I rolled with the punches with him. He was leaving himself wide open. He got tired after he tried to get me on the ropes. Once I popped him with a couple uppercuts and a hook, I knew I hurt him.
“He came forward, he was very tough. He just wanted to punish me but I keyed in on my opportunities and got him out of there.
“I knew I could get him out of there because of the type of fighter that he is and the skill-set that I have and that’s what we did.
“Everybody in front of me is on my mind. I can only get to the top by beating the people in front of me. I’m not calling out any names, because I want every person ranked in front of me. I want everyone.”
JOSE LOPEZ
“I wanted to attack the body and put some pressure on him from the first round.
“He moved very well side-to-side. He is a very good boxer.
“I am very disappointed. I came here to win.”
OMAR DOUGLAS
“The jab is always a great weapon for me. He gave me more head movement after I was landing the jab. I tried to use the jab to the body and hurt him a few times. He was so short I had trouble throwing body shots.
“On the second knockdown I feinted the jab and got him with the left hook. I should have done that all night. There were a lot of opportunities for me.
“It was a tough fight. It was the kind of fight that I needed. I haven’t had a tough fight like that in a long time.
“He laid in the middle, a bit of a rough guy. He was head butting, pulling and everything. When we got inside we banged heads a lot. The ref was saying I was hitting on the top of the head, but he was coming in so low.
“I’ve done much better work before, he definitely gave me a tough fight, but I expected it.
“I want to fight guys with winning records. I expect tough fights. I’m 15-0 now and I expect challenges.”
BRAULIO SANTOS
“It was a hard fight. I’m not sure that I won, but I thought it was closer.
“I didn’t have that long to train and this is not a weight I usually fight at. I’d like to fight him again and have more time to prepare.”

BIRMINGHAM, AL (September 14, 2015) – 2012 U.S. Olympian and undefeated heavyweight prospect Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (15-0, 14 KOs)will enter the ring against the crafty “Big” Fred Kassi (18-3-1, 10 KOs) in a 10-round heavyweight showdown on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC Saturday, September 26 from Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, with televised coverage beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.
PBC on NBC is headlined by heavyweight world champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (34-0, 33 KOs) as he defends against France’s Johann “Reptile” Duhaupas (32-2, 20 KOs).
Omar Figueroa, who was originally scheduled on the card,was forced to drop out of his scheduled bout against Antonio DeMarco due to an elbow injury.
In another exciting matchup, heavyweight knockout artist Charles “Missouri” Martin (21-0-1, 19 KOs) squares off against Vicente “Bufalo” Sandez (15-4, 10 KOs) in a 10-round heavyweight affair.
Further undercard action features the undefeated Olympian Terrell Gausha (15-0, 8 KOs) taking on Puerto Rico’s Eliezer Gonzalez (15-1, 10 KOs) in a super welterweight bout, plus Bryant Perella (10-0, 9 KOs) in a welterweight attraction and Mario Barrios (11-0, 6 KOs) in an eight-round super featherweight fight.

Since representing the U.S. at the 2012 Olympics, Breazealehas been nearly perfect in recording knockouts as a pro, having only gone the distance in one fight. The 30-year-old played quarterback at the University of Northern Colorado before picking up boxing and looks to keep his undefeated record intact on September 26 when he faces the toughest challenge of his career. In 2015 the Glendale, California native has recorded stoppages over Victor Brisbal and Yasmany Consuegra.
Born in Cameroon but fighting out of New Orleans, the 36-year-old Kassi will be looking to build off of his last performance, when he earned a draw against Chris Arreola in a fight many believed was too close to call. Kassi had previously delivered knockouts in five of his eight prior fights and will make his second start of 2015 on September 26.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, but fighting out of Carson, California, Martin has stopped his last 10 opponents within the distance. The 29-year-old owns knockout victories over Damon McCreary, Raphael Zumbano Love and Tom Dallas in 2015. He will be opposed by Baja California, Mexico’s Sandez, who is coming off of a knockout over previously unbeaten Thanasis Michaloudis.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Gaushawas a decorated amateur who won gold medals at the U.S. National Championships in 2009 and 2012 and represented the US as part of the 2012 Olympic Team. The 28-year-old is undefeated since turning pro in 2012. In 2015 he has scored a knockout victory over Norberto Gonzalez and defeated Luis Grajeda. He takes on the 28-year-old Gonzalez out of Cupey Alto, Puerto Rico.
An undefeated 26-year-old out of Fort Myers, Florida, Perrella comes off of a first round knockout over Eduardo Flores in August. He has picked up three knockouts in a row in 2015 and looks to make it eight in a row overall onSeptember 26.
Fighting out of San Antonio, Barrioslooks for his fifth victory of 2015 on September 26. The 20-year-old hopes to build on his momentum after earning a fourth-round stoppage of Jose Cen Torres on September 6.

MASHANTUCKET, CT (September 12, 2015) – Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (32-0-1, 22 KOs) knocked out Michael Zerafa (17-2, 9 KOs) in the fifth round on Saturday afternoon from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC.
Quillin and Zerafa exchanged power punches throughout the affair, with the underdog Zerafa landing several big shots that stopped Quillin in his tracks. In the fifth round, a powerful right hand from Quillin connected with Zerafa and sent him tumbling to the ground as referee Arthur Mercante Jr. waved-off the fight. Quillin landed 47 percent of his power punches and out-landed Zerafa 54-38, per CompuBox.
Zerafa exited the ring on a stretcher and was taken to Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut as a precautionary measure. During Quillin’s post-fight press conference, he was put on the phone with Zerafa, who said that he was okay. Zerafa has been undergoing tests, his CAT scan is normal, and all indications are that he is likely to be released from the hospital tonight.
The victory for Quillin sets up an all-Brooklyn middleweight world title fight with Daniel “The Miracle Man” Jacobs tentatively set to take place this December. Jacobs was ringside as part of the PBC on NBC broadcast team and was interviewed after the fight to share his thoughts about the future collision.
In the co-main event undefeated star Jermall “Hitman” Charlo (22-0, 17 KOs) knocked down Cornelius “K9” Bundrage (35-6, 19 KOs)four times en route to a third round stoppage to win a junior middleweight world title at 25-years-old.
Charlo came out firing, knocking down Bundrage in the first round with a sharp overhand. He followed that up in the second round with a straight left that again sent Bundrage to the canvas. Charlo began the third round with a barrage of punches that ended in Bundrage tumbling to the mat. One final flurry late in the round put Bundrage on the mat for the fourth time, prompting referee Johnny Callas to stop the fight.
Charlo’s twin brother and fellow undefeated boxer Jermell cheered him along in his corner and the two embraced immediately upon Jermall’s victory. Charlo out-landed Bundrage 33-20 over the three rounds, per CompuBox.
In a light heavyweight bout, 2012 U.S. Olympian and undefeated rising star “Sir” Marcus Browne (16-0, 12 KOs) stopped former world champion Gabriel Campillo (25-8-1, 12 KOs) 55 seconds into the first round, after unleashing a series of shots to the body that knocked Campillo down twice.

“It is hard to celebrate a performance like that, especially when someone is leaving on a stretcher. Unfortunately that is part of the game. I just pray that he gets better and gets home to Australia safe and sound.
“I made a bad mistake in my past when I fought Miranda.  I learned that you have to give every guy credit.
“What’s important is that I’m ready for Danny Jacobs. Now it’s time for Brooklyn to see me and Danny Jacobs. We’ve waited for a long time for it.
“I like Danny because I’m a big fan of his. But business is business unfortunately.
“[To Jacobs] We can do it right here if you want to take off that suit and put on those gloves. Lets do it right now.
“I’m back in camp on Monday. I’m getting ready for Danny Jacobs.
“Right now he’s the champ, I’m the challenger. I like to be in that position. It motivates me. I fight for all the kids who were told they wouldn’t make it.”
