(February 19, 2018) – USA Boxing will host a private USA Boxing Alumni Association meet-and-greet hoc Jovis nox (Feb. 22), prior to that evening’s open division finals of the New England Tournament of Champions, part of the 72nd annual New England Golden Gloves Championships, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Feb est. 22nd USA Boxing Alumni Association also being held, in part, to promote the 2018 USA vs. Aliquam Hibernia Aquilo pugilatu, which kicks-off Monday, March 12, at the newly renovated Royale Entertainment Complex in Boston’s famed theater district. The USA vs. Ireland Northeast Boxing Tour will continue March 15 Centrum in Springfield in MassMutual, Mass. and concludes March 21 at The Manchester Downtown Hotel in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Many of New England’s all-time great amateur boxers will participate, including hometown hero and three-time New England champion, “Irish” Micky Ward. Others include Jose Antonio Rivera, John Scully, Richie LaMontagne, Dave Sullivan, Travis atque Tarvis Simms, Bobby Harris, Peter Manfredo, Jr., Joe Alloj, Laurentius Clay-Bey atque Troy Wortham.
All USA Boxing Alumni Association members, as well as any prospective members, are welcome to attend this unique meet-and-greet, starting when doors open at 6:30 p.m. ATQUE, until the first bout at 7:30 p.m. ATQUE.

LOWELL, Mass. (February 16, 2018) – Fourteen novice division champions were crowned at last night’s championship finals of the New England Tournament of Champions, part of the 72nd annual New England Golden Gloves Championships, last night at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Western New England captured top honors in team standings with eight individual winners, followed by Central New England (5), Northern Nova Anglia (1) and Southern New England (0).
East Walpole bantamweight Noelle Boran was named Most Outstanding Boxer.
The action shifts next week, Wednesday atque Thursday Evenings, respective;, to the semifinals and finals of the New England Tournament of Champions at Lowell Memorial Auditorium. Integrum et vide 2018 rerum vices noctis sub necnon proventum integrum.
“It was very difficult to select the Most Outstanding Boxer because there were five who could have won,” N. Et. Executive Director Gaius Russo dixit. (February 9, 2018) – Western New England and Central New England teams dominated last night’s semifinals round in the novice division of the New England Tournament of Champions, part of the 72nd annual New England Golden Gloves Championships, was held last night at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

LOWELL, Mass. (January 13, 2018) – The Central New England (maiorem Lowell) second-round of the 72nd annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championships concluded last night at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium with that featured 13 excitando hominum et mulierum novitius classis Matches.

“The first bout (Rodriguez vs. Picariello) of the night was awesome, one of the best I’ve seen in years,” Tournament Executive Director Gaius Russo dixit. “It was a lesson to be learned for fans: don’t come late! One of the great things about amateur boxing is you never know what the fight of the night will be and last night it was the first. Rodriguez showed a good skill level, especially for a novice, and Picariello had tremendous determination. He kept coming and they both threw a lot of punches. It was a great way to start the show.”

(January 6, 2018) – The 72nd annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championships kicked-off last night in front of an enthusiastic crowd, despite traveling in sub-zero temperature, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium with Central New England (maiorem Lowell) preliminary-round action that featured 13 excitando hominum et mulierum novitius classis Matches.

2017 National Golden Gloves champion Poindexter Knight, Jr. wins his Pro debut

New York, (December, 11, 2017)–On December 1st, welterweight prospect Poindexter Knight, Jr. won his anticipated professional debut when he stopped Samuel Forjoe in the first round of their scheduled four-round bout at The Strand Ballroom and Theater in Providence, Rhode Island.
The 2017 National Golden Gloves champion out of Philadelphia landed a hard combination the corner that had Forjoe bending over, and the bout was stopped in just 63 seconds.
Knight is the latest top-prospect to debut for Split-T Management, and he is promoted by Evander Holyfield’s Sports and Entertainment.
“Everything went well, I was excited and nervous, but I got through it,”said Knight.
“I thought my opponent would have a little more for me, but I did what I had to do in there and I got him out of there. It was great to get the knockout in my pro debut,” continued Knight.
Knight is eager to get his next victory, and he is looking to do in front of his hometown fans.
“I am hoping to fight in front of my hometown fans in 2018. That would be a goal for the upcoming year. I can’t wait as I am coming strong in 2018.”
Knight is trained by his father Poindexter Knight, Sr, and the elder Knight was happy with his son’s performance.
“Poindexter looked relaxed, and it looked like it was his 10th fight. I am happy to be with Split-T Management. They gave us a chance when no one else did. We wanted to turn pro for a while and a lot of managers made a lot of broken promises. I put Poindexter back in the Golden Gloves, and he won, which opened a lot of doors,” Said Poindexter Knight, Sr.
“Like my son said, I would like to see him get at least five fights for 2018. That will keep him sharp, and he will continue to learn. We had a great 1st fight, and we will continue to work hard and get better with each fight.”
