HISTORIC BRITISH ALL FEMALE PRO BOXING EVENT SET FOR 21ST NOV – LIVE ON FITE TV
Five division World Champion and Promoter Lee Mcallister and the British & Irish Boxing Authority (BIBA) jointly announced an historic all female professional boxing event, that will take place in the United Kingdom on Saturday 21st November 2020 as part of theLET BATTLE COMMENCE usoro, na mkpakọrịta naPAPA JOHN’S PIZZA naNEON ENERGY DRINK and broadcast exclusively live onFITE TV.
To date the LET BATTLE COMMENCE series, which are broadcast live on FITE TV and delayed broadcast in the UK on Sports Channel Network (Freeview/Youview Channel 265), has featured female contests on all events.
The first took place on the 18th July 2020 and hosted the professional boxing debut of ten time Kick Boxing World Champion Caitlin Foran against PBC International Silver Champion Jaime Bates.
LET BATTLE COMMENCE II, which was broadcast live on Friday 4th September, featured three female contests, the first featured PBC International Silver Super Flyweight Champion Nicola Hopewell versus Tasha Boyes, also featured on the card were Elite Amateur Stars Hollie Towl and Ellie Coulson who made their respective professional boxing debuts against Jaime Bates and Beccy Ferguson.
The upcoming LET BATTLE COMMENCE III, which takes place on the 3rd October features two female contests; Sophie Varley versus Tasha Boyes and Elite Amateur Estelle Scott makes her professional Boxing debut against Carly Mackenzie.
The interim card for the 21st NovemberLET BATTLE COMMENCE – THE LIONESSES event sees WIBA Minimum-weight World ChampionDenise Castle and MBC International ChampionMarianne Marston co-headlining, against yet to be named opponents.
The stacked card hosts the rematch betweenNicola Hopewell naTasha Boyes, following Boyes’ unfortunate retirement during their previous encounter due to an arm injury.
Former ten time Kick Boxing World ChampionCaitlin Foran will make her second appearance in the series and will face Shrewsbury’sBeccy Ferguson.
Former English National Amateur ChampionEllie Coulson will also be making her second appearance in the series, this time she facesEster Konecna from the Czech Republic.
Ellie’s esteemed team mate at the Xbox Academy in Worksop, Hollie Towl, faces Italy’sAngela Cannizzaro.
World Boxing Council (WBC) Muay Thai World ChampionNatacha De Almeida from Switzerland, will be making her professional boxing debut against York’sCarly Mackenzie.
Former Elite Amateur, South Shields’Estelle Scott, is back in action against debutingKirsty Biswas from Middlesbrough.
Manchester’sSophie Varley, who now competes at Super Flyweight, will face debutingIvette Garcia.
Shrewsbury’s PBC International Silver Bantamweight ChampionJaime Bates will go toe-to-toe with the highly experienced KenyanJane Kavulani.
Further contests are planned, including a second World title fight between American Heavyweights Carlette Ewell and Gwendolyn O’Neil, subject to UK Government travel restrictions permitting.
Currently this event is being planned as a ‘Behind Closed Doors’ special event at the Northern Hotel in Aberdeen, however it is expected that Spectators will be permitted to attend events by November, subject to government restrictions, and if they are then it is expected that the event will take place in London, subject to suitable size venue availability.

Miami (Aug. 6, 2020) — The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically altered plans in combat sports, particularly for Brazil-based SFT MMA & Xtreme (Standout Fighting Tournament), which planned to make its American debut last June at Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. Its long-awaited American debut will finally take place on Thursday, August 13, with “SFT 23 VR: Jeffrey vs. Assis”, in a closed show at Wynwood Studios in Miami, Florida.
“SFT 23 VR: Jeffrey vs. Assis” will be streamed live and exclusively worldwide on pay per view via the FITE app and website (www.FITE.tv), malite na 7 p.m. EDT / 4 p.m. PDT, for $14.95. It’ll also be taped live and air at future dates on regional television throughout the U.S. on United Fight Alliance (UFA), as well as on Brazilian television.
Only fighters and one corner person each, a skeleton staff including television production crew, officials, and commission members will be allowed onsite. No fans, media, or ring-card girls. SFT will provide masks and be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and encouraging everyone to follow all COVID-19 recommendations. Everybody will be tested for COVID-19 the day prior to the weigh in, at the weight in, and during the day of the event.
“Our plan was for SFT MMA & Xtreme to have a circuit, starting in Brazil, and then promoting shows in the United States and Mexico,” SFT president David Hudson kwuru. “The Coronavirus changed everything. Our show last Saturday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was canceled after we had the weigh in, but we wanted to do the right thing and paid everybody involved.
“We can’t wait for U.S. fans to watch our product to understand what they’ve been missing. SFT gives fans what they want: asọmpi, action-packed fights in a completely different form of entertainment. We’re having our August 13nke show in Miami because we want to increase awareness, particularly in the United States, of our unique product of combat sports entertainment. Our shows are regularly broadcast on one of the five national television networks in Brazil. We have five of the top seven pound-4-pound MMA fighters in Brazil and we want to bring some U.S. talent to fight in Brazil. Two fighters from this show will be given a chance to fight in Brazil and then, hopefully, at the Seminole Hard Rock later this year.”
The main event pits Canadian middleweightAaron Jeffrey (7-2-0, (SFT: 0-0-0) against BrazilianBruno “Brunao” Assis (9-4-0, SFT: 0-0-0) in their SFT MMA debuts. Canelo vs GGG2 on FITE commentary + availability
Ahead of Canelo vs. GGG 2 live stream this Saturday, FITE has announced the team on commentary for the English stream. Beto Duran, Doug Fischer and Kevin Kelley will be commentators in English. Jorge Milhe and Ernesto Amador will be on Spanish commentary. FITE viewers will have the option to watch the biggest boxing fight of the year watch in English and Spanish on their preferred viewing device. The fight is available to order online on FITE.TV, on the FITE mobile apps, FITE ROKU Channel and Apple TV.
FITE will also make the show available for fans in Canada, Russia, Spain and Africa. The event will be available for catch-up viewing until Midnight 9/20.
