Palicte (21-2, 18 Kos) is a dangerous Filipino fighter who is world rated at No. 11 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) na No. 15 na WBO. Now training in Los Angeles, Palicte is looking forward to making his American debut Desemba. 17.

Styles made fights and a classic match-up between a consummate boxer (Cantu) and powerful puncher (Palicte) guarantees an intriguing fight that should be highly entertaining and incredibly competitive. Both fighters also respect each other.
“Palicte brings an impressive record and a lot of experience,” Cantu noted. “The road to a world title is a tough one, which means no easy opponents. I am really excited about this challenge. “Cantu is a smart boxer,” Palicte added. “I’d compare him to Ismael Garnica, who I fought in our Showdown at Sands in Macau. (Palicte won by way of a seventh-round TKO.) Yeye (Cantu) is kind of a runner, pia, always moving around the ring, but we can never tell one’s ability until we’ve fought.

The 25-year-old Cantu (14-0, 1 KO), fighting out of Kingsville, Texas, is a pure boxer who is the reigning North American Boxing Federation (Nabf) bingwa, nafasi Hakuna. 3 by the WBO North American Boxing Organization (Pia) na No. 6 by the NABA. Brock predicted that fans would see a completely different fighter, after being trained for this fight by future Hall of Famer and 10-time world champion Roy Jones, Jr. Brock threw effective punches in bunches, aggressively fought inside against the taller Blanco, and he outworked the Dominican who suffered a cut over his left eye midway through the fight and had his right eye swell a few rounds later.

“I knew he was a gritty guy who came from Puerto Rico to fight me in Las Vegas,” explained Brock, who added the NABA USA title to his growing collection that already had included the WBC US lightweight strap. “I was having fun, enjoying myself. I had to pick up stuff working with Roy and some rubbed off on me. With Roy’s help, my confidence was built up and I learned techniques, especially with my hand-and-feet coordination. I found what I learned was more effective.”
Jones was calm in Brock’s corner throughout the fight. “I’m always calm in the corner to get the best out of the fighter,” Jones noted. “To do that I need to remain calm.”
Mexican upset specialist Norberto “Demonio” Gonzalez (22-3-8, 13 Kos) did his thing in the co-feature, taking an eight-round split decision (76-75, 76-75, 74-77) from Puerto Rican junior middleweight Daniel “El Duro” Rozari (11-2, 10 Kos).

Gonzalez overcame a second-round knockdown. “I didn’t come here to lose,” Gonzalez commented. “I knew we had to work hard to get a decision.”

Brock (12-3-1, 4 Kos), Kupambana na New Orleans, learned how to box in the Louisiana State Penitentiary, where he was sentenced at the age of 15 kwa wizi wenye silaha. Stephon Young wins WBA NABA title with decision over Tony Lopez Jr.

NUTLEY, NJ (Oktoba 3, 2016)–Zamani hii Ijumaa usiku, newly signed GH3 Promotions fighter Stephon Young turned in a terrific performance as he won the WBA NABA Bantamweight title with a ten-round majority decision over Tony Lopez Jr.
Bout, which was held at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, was televised live on CBS Sports Network.

Young controlled the final three-quarters of the bout as he used his speed and aggressiveness to win by scores 97-93, 96-94 na 95-95.

Young, 28 years old of St. Louis, raised his undefeated mark to 15-0-3 with six-knockouts.
“Ilikuwa vita kubwa. I have to give credit to Tony Lopez . It was an exciting fight, but I think he must have thought something different of me as I don’t think that they knew what they were getting themselves into,” Alisema Young.

“I am going to go back to the drawing board see what my manager (Henry Rivalta) and my promoter (GH3 Promotions), and keep busy. I am going to the top. This is only just the beginning, and it will get any better.”

Erik Ruiz celebrates his upset victory

LAS VEGAS (Septemba 30, 2016) — Late replacement Erik “El Trumpo” Ruiz upset Hanzel Martinez katika usiku wa leo “Knockout Night at the D” main event in front of another sold-out crowd at the outdoor Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.

“El Trumpo,” fighting out of Oxnard, California, put on a clinic, avoiding the lunging Martinez, who was frustrated throughout the fight by Ruiz’ slickness. Martiniz lunged, Ruiz countered and then he slightly moved to the side, avoiding any potential. Defensively, Ruiz was far superior, keeping Martinez off balance through out the majority of rounds.

Fighting out of St. Louis, Young’s quickness prevailed over Lopes’ toughness, as both fighters put on a show for the vacant North American Boxing Association (Pia) bantamweight title in the co-feature. Young won a 10-round majority decision.

Las Vegas junior lightweight Randy Moreno cruised to his fifth win without a loss, unloading an unanswered barrage of punches on Fabian “El Suavecito” Alanez (1-1) until referee Jay Nady halted the fight in the second round.
