Premier Boxing Champions on NBC Starts At 4:30 P.m. E/1:30 P.m. PT

BOSTON (Maggio 19, 2015) – Boston-area fans will be treated to fireworks this Memorial Day weekend as a full slate of exciting undercard fights come to Agganis Arena on Sabato, Maggio 23. The undercard action is highlighted by Boston’s own Danny O'Connor (25-2, 9 KO) taking on the fighting pride of Vermont, Chris Gilbert (13-1, 10 KO) in an eight-round welterweight battle for the New England welterweight championship title.

 

Undercard fights will support the Premier Boxing Champions su NBC show featuring the super middleweight showdown between Olympic medalists Andre Dirrell (24-1, 16 KO) e James DeGale (20-1, 14 KO) e Edwin Rodriguez (26-1, 17 KO) affrontare l'imbattuto Craig Baker (16-0, 12 KO).

The undercard will also feature a highly anticipated 10-round middleweight contest that pits Gary O’Sullivan (20-1, 13 KO) contro Melvin Betancourt (29-1, 23 KO) as both men look to prove themselves as contenders in the division.

The 30-year-old boasts an impressive knockout percentage and just last week recorded his tenth professional stoppage with a first round knockout over Raphael Valenzuela. He takes a step up in competition when he battles O’Connor on Maggio 23.

 

A resident of Cork, Irlanda, O'Sullivan will be fighting for the fifth time as a professional in the state of Massachusetts, where he is yet to lose. At 30-years-old, he has won his last four fights since a defeat to Billy Joe Saunders in 2013, including three straight by knockout. He will take on a strong opponent making his U.S. debutto in Betancourt. The fighter out of Villa Gonzalez, Dominican Republic has won nine fights in a row.

An undefeated prospect out of Richmond, Virginia, the 21-year-old Aleem will take on the very dangerous and experienced 35-year-old Toribio da Miami.

A 22-year-old prospect who has racked up five wins since turning pro in February of this year, Espinal will get back in the ring again on Maggio 23. The fighter out of Providence, Rhode Island will take on the 33-year-old Enriquez out of Tlaxcala, Messico.

NEW YORK (Maggio 18, 2015) – World Boxing Association (WBA) Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs e 2015 New York State Boxing Hal of Fame inductee Harold Weston sarà domani notte (Martedì, Maggio 19) special Ring 8 guest speakers at O’Neill’s Restaurant, situato in 64-21 53rd Drive in Maspeth, New York.

 

Jacobs (29-1, 26 KO), fighting out Brooklyn, is an inspiration having overcome cancer to become world champion. An outstanding amateur boxer, Jacobs was a gold medal winner at the 2003 Junior Olympics National, 2004 & 2005 PAL Nazionale, 2004 & 2005 National Golden Gloves tournaments.

 

Lo scorso agosto, Jacobs captured the vacant WBA 160-pound division world champion, sosta Jarrod Fletcher (18-1) nel quinto round. In his first world title defense this past April, Jacobs registered a win by 12th round technical knockout over Caleb Truax (25-1-2) a Chicago.

 

Weston (26-9-5, 7 KO) had an outstanding professional boxing career until he retired in 1979 after his fight with Thomas Hearns. Weston’s most notable victory was against world champion (and fellow NYSBHOF inductee) Vito Antuofermo in 1973, by way of a fifth-round technical knockout due to cuts. HARTFORD, Conn. (Maggio 15, 2015) — Undefeated Puerto Rican lightweight Reynaldo Ojeda (16-0, 9 KO) impressively introduced himself to American boxing fans in stasera ESPN Venerdì Night Fights evento principale, presentato da 50 Cent’s SMS Promotions e DiBella Entertainment, in associazione con Universal Promotions, at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.

Ojeda wisely attacked the wound, pumping a series of stiff jabs and left hooks. “I got confident when his cut opened up,” Ojeda admitted. “What’s next for me is up to my promoter and manager, but I’m available to fight any 135-pounder in the world.”

Luis Rosa (R) finished off Jonathan Perez

Connecticut favorite Luis “KO King” Rosa (20-0, 10 KO), di New Haven, made a statement in the co-feature against Colombian featherweight Jonathan “Popeye” Perez (33-11, 27 KO). Rosa was the aggressor from the opening bell through the end of the fight against a dangerous opponent, firing an array of effective combinations to the head and body, often switching from an orthodox stance to southpaw.

GH3 Promotions adds Heavyweight Natu Visinia to stable in co-promotional deal with Final Forum Boxing

Nutley, NJ (Maggio 15, 2015)— Vito Mielnicki’s GH3 Promotions is pleased to announced the addition of Heavyweight contender Anziani Visine to it’s roster.

Visinia will now be co-promoted with Sal Musumeci’s Final Forum Boxing.

Visinia, 30 years-old of Clinton, Illinois scored a 4th round stoppage over Joshua Clarke on May 13 a Hollywood, California as part of the Sugar Ray Leonard Charity Event. With that win he upped his record to 11-1 con 9 knockouts and it was his first effort since his lone setback when he he lost to two-time world champion Steve Cunningham in October.
“I think its a great thing to get with GH3. Vito has been great at moving fighters and getting them fights. That has been my problem is getting fights. I think that being able to stay consistent with fighting and staying in the ring and being able to stay busy will help me out in the long run,”said Visinia.
The win over Clarke is impressive because Clarke is 12-1 as an MMA fighter and 2-3-2 come un pugile. Clarke went the distance with world-ranked Charles Martin and Visinia was able to impressively stop the native of Richmond, Virginia.
“Clarke was a tough guy. He has never been knocked out in any of his 20 combattimenti. He doesnt have a very good boxing record and everyone he has fought has been undefeated. Going in there to knockout a durable guy like that gives me confidence.”
“I want to stay busy and I will do my end and that is to train hard, I will leave it to Vito and his team to put the fights together. It never matters who I am fighting. People questioned me about taking on Steve Cunningham after 10 fights but that is the fighter I am.”

“We are very happy to make the deal get Natu into the fold with us at GH3,” Detto Vito Mielnicki.

“Natu has shown that he is a huge puncher. The only thing he has been lacking is experience and everybody knows how active I like to keep my guys.
