Lewiston’s Matt Denning is coming off the first loss of his professional career this past November against Jon Lemke (5-4). The bout will indeed be the professional debut for Harvey after an amateur career in which he went 5-1. He is the reigning NEF MMA Amateur Lightweight Champion, a title which he will now vacate as a professional. Harvey capped off his amateur stint with a highlight reel knockout over Ryan Dibartolomeo (4-4), a victory that solidified his position as the northeast region’s top-ranked amateur lightweight. Harvey is a member of Young’s MMA in Bangor, Maine. He recently signed a long-term NEF developmental deal.

 

“I’m feeling blessed to be a signed professional cage fighter,” dit Harvey. “I’m one step closer to my goal and April 23rd I’ll take another. I’ve wanted a chance to fight ‘Ken Doll’ ever since I met him – he is just one of those guys. I’m thankful for the opportunity.”

 

“One thing is very clear in this matchup – Josh and Matt don’t like each other,” stated NEF matchmaker and co-owner Matt Peterson. “There is some deep, pent-up frustration that has been percolating between these two for a long time – and on April 23rd, the cork comes out. ALBUQUERQUE, N.m. (Février 15, 2016) – The second annual World MMA Association (WMMAA) Pan-American Congress, recently held at The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was a major success by all standards.

“The Pan-American Movement”, as it was named, brought together sports, tourisme, and education for a common goal with more than 12 participating countries.
The Congress provided a rare opportunity for the entire WMMAA Pan-American family to collaborate with special partnerships like The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce et The Mexico Consulate in Albuquerque, University of New Mexico Global Education Department. PANAM Members, representatives of National Federations, Commissions, Association and the Organizing Committee of the WMMAA Pan-American Championship (OCPC), as well as athletes, entraîneurs, médias, sponsors and other stakeholders to meet and discuss issues of importance to the entire MMA movement.
In his closing speech to the Congress, Pan-American Division President Tomas Yu paid tribute to the excellent collaboration between Pan-American members.
“If you asked me to sprawl a couple of times, I would most definitely need some nitro coffee from Villa Myriam before I run out of breath, followed by the guaranteed use of Sore No More,” Yu a dit. “But when it comes to fighting for our youth, for our MMA global goals – for cleaner competition, for a healthier, more peaceful and more flourishing SPORT – I will sprawl-jab-cross-kick like a champion. I will sprint the steepest trail in the Sandia Mountains. I will never stop until we raise our hands by victory. I am counting and exhorting all involved in the MMA industry to join us. We must go for the KO.”
Over the course of the three-day Congress and 13-day PANAM Camp, there were special guest such as Legacy Champion Damacio page, former UFC champion Jon “Des os” Jones et Carlos Condit. Participants heard from many respected speakers such as Health Committee Director Curt Chavez from eVOLV Strong, Hector Molina, Director of PANAM Regulatory Committee and Director of PANAM Medical Committee, Dr. Justo Pavia. The congress had interesting discussions on the following themes: athlètes, 2016 Expo MMA, structure of the “WMMAA Pan-American Movement”, global officials’ license and database, new era of Digital Sports Marketing Revolution, et la 2016 Championnats Panaméricains.

Each day was divided in two general sessions with a half-day devoted to Rules and Regulations discussions for PANAM. The plenary sessions were followed by three simultaneous breakout sessions on respective sub-themes.

All sessions were live-cast over the internet to allow the general public to hear discussions as it happened.
Two sessions began with presentations from a panel of speakers. The moderators of each panel were then responsible for the ensuing discussion period, which gave participants an opportunity to voice their opinions on issues. The main points from each session were carefully recorded by“ENLACE” – the new exclusive WMMAA correspondent program – to inform the Editorial Committee of the discussions at the end of each day. The final document reflected the main ideas to come out of the proceedings in Albuquerque, as well as information collected through the virtual WMMAA Pan-American Congress, allowing the WMMAA Pan-American family and public to submit written contributions.
The mission of the 2016 WMMAA Pan-American Congress was to bring together sports, tourism and education for a united front and review the status of the WMMAA PANAM Movement in today’s evolving global society. Information was gathered and opinions sought regarding its future, in addition to providing structure, guidance, proposals and recommendations to all constituents and other stakeholders of the WMMAA PANAM Movement for its structured showcase and harmonious development within the global youth community.
Le 2016 WMMAA Pan-American Congress was a great success and has left the WMMAA Pan-American Movement with a blueprint for the future. It is now time, encore une fois, for the PANAM family to translate words into action: We are the Future of MMA!

GLOVER AND WILLIAMS TO FACE OFF FOR NEF GOLD

Ryan Glover (2-1) will face Mike Williams (1-0) for the inaugural NEF amateur 205-pound title.

 

Avant de concourir dans le MMA, Ryan Glover was a standout dual sport athlete at Mountain Valley High School in Rumford, Maine. A state champion wrestler, Glover made his biggest mark on the football field where he was named the “Football Player of the Year” by the Lewiston Sun Journal in 2010.

“The weight cut has not been fun, but has gone easier than expected,” stated Glover, when asked about his cut down to 205-pounds. “I feel a lot better as I approach 205 and I think I’ll like fighting at this weight. It’s going to be bittersweet to hold the belt at 205. I lost a close slugfest last June simply because I didn’t stick to our game plan. I dropped the ball that night and you can rest assured that’s not going to happen again. Williams, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) blue belt and member of Central Maine Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (CMBJJ) à Auburn, blasted fellow newcomer Joe Krech (0-1) out of the gate before securing a fight-ending armbar in a spectacular 26-seconds into the first round. The dizzying debut was enough to earn the impressive young Williams a shot at NEF gold.

 

“This fight is just another step and he’s in the way,” stated Williams flatly when asked for comment.

NEF TO OPEN 2016 WITH SPECTACULAR FIGHT CARD

Lewiston, Maine (Janvier 6, 2016) - Combats Nouvelle-Angleterre (NEF), Numéro un la promotion de la lutte régionale de l'Amérique, tiendra son prochain événement, “NEF 21: The Immortals” sur Samedi, Février 6, 2016 au Colisée Androscoggin Bank de Lewiston, Maine. Plus tôt aujourd'hui,, NEF announced the full fight card for the event which will be the fight promotion’s first of 2016.

 

A pair of professional boxing bouts will be featured on the main card of the evening. Joel “Baby Bull” Évêque (0-0-1) returns to action after more than a year’s absence to face MMA regular Crowsneck Boutin (0-0) in a light-heavyweight four-round bout. Northeast Junior Welterweight Champion Brandon “Le Cannon” Baie (10-1) will attempt to make it three wins in a row when he steps in the ring to face undefeated Tollison Lewis (2-0) in a six-round, non-title, super-welterweight contest. Both Berry and Lewis are coming off wins in the boxing ring at “NEF XX” ce passé Novembre.

 

The professional portion of the MMA card will be headlined by the long-awaited meeting between Bruce “Pretty Boy” Boyington (12-8) et Jon Lemke (5-3). Dubbed “The Battle for Bangor,” with both men living and training in the Bangor, Maine area, Boyington’s NEF MMA Professional Lightweight Title will be on the line. Number-one contender Lemke will be looking to capture the first championship of his MMA career.

 

The co-main event of the evening on the professional MMA card will see local Lewiston-Auburn favorite Jesse “Le Viking” Erickson (6-4) prenant Devin Powell (4-1) in a lightweight matchup. Powell returns to the NEF cage for the first time since May 2014, while Erickson will be looking for his fourth consecutive win in Lewiston.

 

A total of three title fights will headline the amateur MMA side of the card. Young’s MMA standout Josh Harvey (5-1) defends his lightweight title against Florida’s Andrew “Ling-Ling” Tamayo (8-1). Caleb Farrington (3-0) etRicky Dexter (4-2) will decide the first-ever NEF MMA Amateur Welterweight Champion, tandis que Henry Clark (3-1) et Johnny Artisanat (3-0) meet to determine the inaugural amateur bantamweight titleholder.

 

En outre, Erin Lamonte (5-0) et Randi Beth Boyington (1-2) are scheduled to face off in a women’s MMA bout. JASON LACHANCE: “Je a été béni avec une formidable occasion”

Lewiston, Maine (Novembre 16, 2015) - Combats Nouvelle-Angleterre (NEF), Numéro un la promotion de la lutte régionale de l'Amérique, tiendra son prochain événement, “NEF XX: A History of Violence” cette Samedi, Novembre 21, 2015 au Colisée Androscoggin Bank de Lewiston, Maine. L'événement mettra en vedette une première pour le Maine – mixte d'arts martiaux (MMA) les combats et les combats de boxe professionnels sur le même événement avec une cage MMA et un ring de boxe mis en place côte-à-côte. Dans un léger combat amateur de MMA en vedette, Jason “2ème Chance” Lachance (2-2) va prendre CJ Aiguière (4-2) à un poids de combat de 155 livres-.

 

Lachance vient de remporter une victoire au premier tour de soumission sur David Thompson (0-1) à “NEF XIX” ce passé Septembre. Il est confiant dans ses capacités et prédit la victoire sur Aiguière quand ils se rencontrent ce week-end. Alors que l'avenir de Lachance dans le sport apparaît chaque jour plus lumineux, il jure de ne pas négliger la tâche à accomplir et de laisser sa foi chrétienne le guider à travers sa carrière.

 

“Je vais battre CJ de toute manière possible,” dit Lachance. “MMA est un sport où tout peut arriver. Je suis pleinement préparé pour tout ce qui peut venir sur le 21e. Je vais me concentrer sur mon prochain adversaire lorsque ce combat est hors de mon chemin. Je ne vais pas négliger mon adversaire. Dieu va mettre en place l'avenir pour moi, comme il l'a jusqu'à présent.”

 

Lachance attribue sa foi et le sport du MMA l'a aidé à vaincre sa dépendance très médiatisé à l'héroïne. Il a commencé sa formation il ya plus de deux ans chez MMA Athletix à Bath, Maine, où il a également rejoint l'Eglise ministère Victoire de propriétaire d'alors de la salle de gym Ryan Colette (2-3).

 

“Je suis béni avec une formidable occasion, et je ne pouvais pas être plus reconnaissant. Le jeu de combat est le plus élevé de hauts et de bas de dépressions. Les moments les plus marquants de ma courte carrière ne sont pas venus de l'intérieur de la cage, mais d'apprendre et de grandir au jour le jour en tant qu'homme et en tant que combattant.”

 

Récemment, Lachance et son coéquipier Norman Fox (4-2) acheté le gymnase MMA Athletix de Colette après Colette a décidé de rediriger son attention à son entreprise de toiture. Nous avons prié sur elle et Dieu nous a envoyé l'équipe parfaite des entraîneurs et des formateurs, avec un nouveau groupe de combattants et à venir.

 

“MMA a déjà changé ma vie à bien des égards. Je pense à prendre au sommet, comme un propriétaire d'entreprise et comme un combattant. Dieu m'a donné la chance de vivre mon rêve, jour après jour.”
