The 31-year-old Lipinets credits the renowned coach Goossen for the level of performance he has shown in the ring in the two years that they’ve worked together. The union between Lipinets and Goossen followed Lipinets’ run at 140-pounds, which saw him defeat Akihiro Kondo for the IBF Super Lightweight Championship on SHOWTIME in 2017 before losing the title by decision to Mikey Garcia the following year.

“My progression is totally attributed to working with Joe Goossen,”, Рече Липинец. “It’s like going from a high school education, then to college, and now I feel like I’m in graduate school. I’ve learned more with Joe than in all my previous time in the sport.

UNDEFEATED LIGHTWEIGHT IS COUSIN AND TRAINING PARTNER OF KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV

Unbeaten to start his mixed martial arts career, a run that has taken place in regional promotions around the globe, the younger cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov has been lauded by those close to both fighters as an elite talent that is capable of eclipsing the current world champion. Training under the tutelage of Javier Mendez at American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, Калифорнија. as well as Khabib’s late father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov in Dagestan, Русија, Usman has utilized his stellar wrestling and Muay Thai credentials to breeze through his first 11 професионални натпревари, with finishes in all but one outing.
