Yunier Dorticos vs. Dmitry Kudryashov Training Camp Notes

World Boxing Super Series Cruiserweight Tournament Heats Up Saturday, Septambra 23 with Dorticos vs. Kudryashov Quarter-final Matchup from Alamodome in San Antonio
San Antonio (Septambra 11, 2017) – With World Boxing Super Series action officially underway following Oleksandr Usyk’s 10faha--round stoppage of Marco Huck Saturday in Germany, cruiserweight sluggers yunier Dorticos ary Dmitry Kudryashov offered training camp updates ahead of their highly anticipated quarter-final showdown taking place Asabotsy, Septambra 23 from the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The WBA cruiserweight titleholder, “The KO Doctor” Dorticos has been hard at work at the Freestyle Fighting Academy in Miami as he prepares for the matchup that many are calling the best fight of the tournament.
I’m working hard and getting ready to take advantage of this opportunity,” said Dorticos. “I have a strong opponent in front of me, but I know what I’m capable of. I’m going to go out there and study him the first few rounds and then break him down. I have to execute my game plan. My training camp is going really well and I can’t wait to have all of my hard work pay off on September 23.
Owning a 100 percent knockout ratio over his 21 pro wins, “The Russian HammerKudryashov has trained at the Legends Boxing Gym in Norwalk, Kalifornia., for his first fight in the U.S. as he looks to punch his ticket to the WBSS semi-finals.
When you want to be the best, you have to train harder than everybody,” said Kudryashov. “That is the key to my game. Dorticos is a good fighter with a strong amateur background. He’s dedicated to this sport and he’s no easy opponent. I’m going to have to be at my best to beat him. Everyone in this tournament was afraid to pick me but I’m happy to be in this fight.
With the WBO champion Usyk set to face the winner of WBC Champion Mairis Briedis vs. Mike Perez, the Dorticos vs. Kudryashov winner will match up against the winner of IBF Champion Murat Gassiev vs. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk in a unification showdown that promises more high-stakes action.
It’s an honor for me to be part of such a prestigious tournament,” said Dorticos. “This is my opportunity to put myself on top of this sport with the other big names and champions. This is what me and my team have worked so hard to accomplish.
My main motivation is to become world champion and show that I’m the best in the division,” said Kudryashov. “I’m the most powerful fighter in this division and everyone will see that on Septambra 23. I have a newborn daughter but I’m still training harder than ever and it has just added to my motivation to go win this tournament.
With the Muhammad Ali Trophy awaiting the winner of the WBSS tournament, both men are looking to increase their profiles and prove their supremacy in the division while matching up against the best in the weight class.
Fighting for the Muhammad Ali Trophy is huge for me,” said Kudryashov. “It is a big responsibility to make sure that I honor his name. This is possibly the biggest prize that boxers can fight for in a tournament that couldn’t be more important.
I want to fight all of the champions,” said Dorticos. “That is my plan because I see myself as the best fighter in this division and now I can go out there and prove it. I idolized Muhammad Ali just like everyone else in this sport and to earn the trophy with his name would be something very special for my life and career.
Miaraka amin'ny mitambatra 41 knockouts over 42 fandresena, Dorticos vs. Kudryashov promises to be a back-and-forth all-action fight, but only one man will be able to raise his hand at the end of the night and move on in the quest for the Muhammad Ali Trophy.
The fans are going to get an amazing show on Septambra 23,” said Dorticos. “This is definitely the best fight of the tournament and the best man will win. We’re both going to leave it all in the ring and fight with our hearts until the very end. I’ve worked too hard to get to this point. Once I connect with him, everyone knows what is going to happen.
This is the first time that all of the best fighters in the division have been collected in a tournament so it is a big opportunity for me,” said Kudryashov. “My team has been amazing in training camp and I am going to take that and bring it to the ring against Dorticos. My opponent better be ready, because I’m coming to beat you like nobody ever has.

Decastro Vs Landaeta Showdown For IBF European Crown on October 21st

ASSASSIN BOXING PROMOTIONS & MANAGEMENT

Aberdeen, UK. Asabotsy 9faha- Septambra 2017.

British Super Middleweight Nathan ‘Nightmare’ Decastro (9-0-0 with 8KOs) is set to challenge Spain’s Ronny Landaeta (12-0-0 with 8KOs) fa ny banga Ady Totohondry Federasiona Iraisam-pirenena (IBF) European Super Middleweight European Championship at the Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena in Malaga, Spain on Saturday October 21St.

Decastro, the current MBC International Champion, who is currently ranked #13 in the IBF Intercontinental ratings, spoke briefly on learning of the golden opportunity.

“I can’t put into words what this fight means to me, I am a fighting man and fighting is my life.

This is a golden opportunity that I will take with both hands and show everyone what I’m made of.

Huge thanks to Lee (Manager Lee McAllister) for sorting this, inona no lazaiko, I only signed with his Assassin Boxing Promotions and Management company a few weeks ago and already he’s already got me a shot at title.

To fight for any title is an honour, but to fight for a coveted IBF belt is something else.

I know this is not an easy fight, Ronny’s undefeated in twelve and has successfully defended his Spanish title twice against top class opposition, but then again he’s not fought me yet, I’m not called the Nightmare for nothing.”

Nathan’s Manager, Three Time World Champion Lee McAllister, then added

“This a cracking opportunity for Nathan to catapult himself in to the World rankings, exciting times ahead for him if he’s successful.

We know we are going into the Lions den as massive underdogs, but I will be making sure that Nathan has space in his bag for the belt when coming home.

Izay no tsy ny rehetra, If all goes well in the next few days I hope to be announcing another Assassin Boxing Promotions and Management boxer challenging for an IBF title, here in the UK this time though”

Las Vegas (Fito. 8, 2017) – At 20 taona, 9 months old, David Benavidez became boxing’s youngest world champion – and the youngest ever in the super middleweight division – with a split decision victory over Ronald Gavril amin'ny zoma night on an exciting night of 168-pound action on FAMPIANARANA BOXING: EDITION MANOKANA avy ny Joint amin'ny Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. See the video of the decision via Twitter link ETO.

Benavidez (19-0, 17 Kos) placed the previously vacated WBC Super Middleweight belt around his waist after winning the title against former European amateur standout Gavril (18-2, 14 Kos) in what Benavidez later described as quite possibly the “Fight of the Year.” One scorecard had Gavril winning 116-111, with Benavidez winning on the other two scorecards, 116-111 ary 117-111 in the event presented by Premier Boxing Champions.

“It feels amazing to win this title,” said the Phoenix resident Benavidez. “It’s everything I’ve dreamed about since I was a little kid. It’s everything I’ve dedicated myself to and I’ve worked hard for. It finally paid off.”

The 31-year-old Romanian Gavril, who trains at Mayweather’s Gym in Las Vegas by Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, sent Benavidez to the canvas with a left hook with just 50 seconds left in the wild 12faha- ary ny fihodinana farany.

“I feel I won the fight. I dominated the pace. I can’t say anything else other than it was up to the judges,” Gavril said, who was watched by his promoter all-time great Floyd Mayweather from ringside. “The only thing I can do is to ask for a rematch.”

Benavidez, who turned pro at age 16 and only had 15 mpankafy ady, took control of the fight early on, but Gavril seemed to gain steam mid-fight, out-boxing and being more active than Benavidez in the seventh, fahavalo sy fahasivy fihodinana. In rounds 11 ary 12, Benavidez out-landed Gavril 66-35 overall and 53-14 with power punches.

“I felt my performance was good except for the last round when I got too anxious and wanted to knock him out,” Benavidez said. “I let my young side takeover and I wanted to give the fans a great fight. I didn’t really feel hurt but it was a shock knockdown. I know to be careful and more cautious. It was a learning experience.”

In another super middleweight contest, Abie Han suffered a devastating accidental head-butt againstJ'Leon Love amin'ny 1:02 into the eighth round and the fight went to the scorecards. One judge had Las Vegas’ Love winning 79-73, and the other two 76-76 making the decision a technical majority draw.

Following an exchange of punches, Ny fitiavana (23-1-1, 13 Kos) leaned in and the two fighter banged heads in violent fashion. Han (26-3-1, 16 Kos) of El Paso, Texas, was left stunned and fell to the floor as blood gushed from his forehead above his left eye and he was immediately checked on by referee Kenny Bayless.

Han, who left the arena sitting up on a stretcher before hearing the decision, won the statistical battle in the ring. Han landed more blows (78-47 ankapobeny, 20-12 jabs, 58-35 fahefana) and did so more accurately (24 percent to 17 percent overall, 16 percent to eight percent jabs and 30 percent to 27 percent power).

SHOWTIME boxing analyst Al Bernstein had Han winning by one point at the time of the stoppage.

“I can’t rate my performance as great because I didn’t get a victory, I got a draw,” said Love, who once trained at the famed Kronk Gym in Detroit under Hall of Fame trainer Emanuel Steward.

The 29-year-old Love ended nearly a one-year layoff with his return to the ring. “I’m kind of rusty but I feel like I pressed the action and tried to take it to him,"Hoy izy. “Other than that I feel like I landed the cleaner shots.”

Ao amin'ny fiandohan'ny bout ny telecast, unbeaten super middleweight prospect Caleb Plant (16-0, 10 Kos) recorded a 10-round shutout decision against a tough Andrew Hernandez (19-7-1, 9 Kos), 100-90 in-telo.

Plant, who resides in Las Vegas by way of Ashland City, Tenn., was the more active fighter against the 31-year-old switch-hitting journeyman Hernandez, who took the fight on just eight daysnotice after Alan Campa dropped out. Plant jabbed effectively (81 ny 271, 30 isan-jato) while neutralizing Hernandez’s usually effective jab (46 ny 325, 14 isan-jato). Plant was also sharp with his power shots landing 44 percent to Hernandez’s 19 isan-jato.

“I’m very pleased with my performance,” Plant said. “I boxed well and I dictated the pace. I pressed when I needed to press and boxed when I needed to box. I felt I put on a great show for the fans. I want to be star in boxing. I know with hard work I can accomplish anything.

“Hernandez is tough, I sent him with everything and he stood tall and my hats off to him. He’s a tough competitor.”

Hernandez, from Phoenix, Ariz., suffered a cut under his left eye in the third and it caused him problems throughout the fight, opening up and bleeding over the final two rounds.

“All respect to Caleb Plant on his performance tonight,” Hernandez said. “He put on a solid fight and he’s got a great future. I was happy I was able to stay in there and last the entire 10 fihodinana.

“I felt Caleb won, but I don’t think it was 10 rounds to none. But that’s not for me to decide. It’s all up to the judges at the end of the day it only matters what they think.”

Plant added: “I’m ready to step up in competition and fight anybody in the top 10 of the super middleweight division. I got my eye on Benavidez and all the other world champions. I’m coming!"

Zoma ny tripleheader will replay on Sunday, Fito. 10, amin'ny 9 a.m. SY/PT, ary Alatsinainy, Fito. 11, amin'ny 10 p.m. SY/PT on SHOWTIME EXTREME and will be available on SHOWTIME on DEMAND® ary SHOWTIME amin'ny fotoana rehetra®.

It’s a great pleasure to promote this exciting World Boxing Super Series matchup,” said Richard Schaefer, Chairman and CEO of Ringstar Sports. “Murat Gassiev is clearly one of the top cruiserweights in the world but he will have a great obstacle against the battle-tested former champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, who will have a big boost from the raucous Polish fans in New Jersey. Prudential Center is the perfect venue for this event and I know that the fans will enjoy this matchup as both men vie for the Muhammad Ali Trophy.
It’s so exciting that the Ali Trophy is coming to a fighting place like New Jersey,” said Kalle Sauerland, Comosa’s Chief Boxing Officer. “Hold tight and enjoy the ride, Oktobra 21 is going to be a unique experience, think ‘Game of Thronesmeets boxing. Can’t wait!”
A full slate of undercard bout will be announced soon.
I promise that I’m going to come to the ring to win and do everything possible to get this victory,” said Gassiev. “I want to take advantage of this opportunity to fight the best boxers in my weight class.
I have a very serious opponent in Krzysztof Wlodarczyk who is a two-time world champion and his resume speaks for itself. He has fought the best and I’m looking forward to a very hard fight.
It is a great honor for me to fight in the World Boxing Super Series for the Muhammad Ali Trophy,” hoy Wlodarczyk. “I trained for two weeks in the Polish mountains and now I am back in Warsaw putting in the work forOktobra 21.”
I am very happy to have the opportunity to fight a champion like Murat Gassiev. He is a young, strong champion like I was a few years ago but I am ready to show that I am still the best in the division.
One of the hardest punchers in the sport, Gassiev trains with Abel Sanchez in Big Bear, California and hails from Vladikavkaz, Rosia. The 23-year-old made his U.S. fanjanahan'i in 2015 and delivered four straight knockout victories, anisan'izany ny “Knockout ny Taona” contender when he flattened Jordan Schimmel in the first round in May 2016. Gassiev then challenged Denis Lebedev in Russia last December and was able to drop the champion on his way to winning the IBF title.
Fighting out of Piaseczno, Polonina, Wlodarczyk first became a world champion when he defeated Steve Cunningham in 2006 to capture the IBF crown. After fighting to a draw against WBC Champion Giacobbe Fragomeni in 2009, Wlodarczyk stopped Fragomeni in their 2010 rematch to become a champion again. He would go on to defend the title six times and enters his Oktobra 21matchup on a four fight winning streak.
