Yomar Alamo grabs gold in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico

This match marks the first WBC fight held in Aguas Buenas.
“Making history in my town is a big deal,” said Yomar Alamo, “I was prepared to leave everything in the ring, and the results were spectacular. Now, I will take a short break and return to the gym as soon as possible because major challenges are coming up and I have to be ready”.
Yomar’s younger brother, Yamil (1-0, 1 KO) successfully debuted by winning by knockout in the first round over Orlando Fernandez (0-4) in the junior welterweight division.
Former National Champion, Fabian Lopez (1-0, 1 KO) defeated Miguel Cruz ( 0-1 ) by TKO in the third round in the middleweight division.
In exciting fights, Garibaldy Gomez (3-0, 2 KO) of Caguas defeated by Ramon Bayala ( 0-6-2 ) by split decision at 122 pounds. Bayala visited the canvas in the first round. The judges scored 38-37 for Bayala, 38-37 and 39-36 for Gomez. In another action packed fight, Luis ‘Mosley’ Hernandez (1-6, 1 KO) defeasted Victor Rodriguez ( 0-2 ) by knockout in round 4 and Abdiel Padilla (1-0, 1 KO) won via TKO in the round two over Jesus Arroyo (0-1).
At the 126 division, Jose Bartolomei (1-0, 1 KO) of Juana Diaz knocked out Alberto Medina ( 0-9 ) in the first round, Jancarlos Rivera (1-0, 1 KO) scored in the first round tko on Yoshua Rodriguez (0-1).
