HOUSTON, Teksasas – Palikimas Kova aljansą (MPŪV) CEO Ed Soares announced today that the MMA super prospect Mackenzie Dern will return to the LFA Octagon in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona at LFA 24.

The previously announced main event of LFA 24 will feature a welterweight war between two of the division’s marquee names when Australian annihilator Matthew “Thunder From Down Under” Frincu faces off with southern California juggernaut “Curtious” Curtis Millender. Dern (3-0) is the daughter of legendary jiu-jitsu and judo black belt Wellington “Megaton” Dias. She began training with her father at an early age in the Phoenix area and is now widely considered one of the most accomplished jiu-jitsu practitioners to ever compete in MMA. The multiple-time jiu-jitsu world champion has won a world title at every rank (blue belt through black belt) ir 2015 added an ADCC Submission Wrestling World title to her trophy case. Dern will look to defend that ADCC title this weekend in Finland. After ADCC 2017, the woman who former UFC champion Benson Henderson famously stated “will be bigger than Ronda Rousey”, will return to the LFA Octagon in front of her hometown crowd at LFA 24.
Polk (3-3) will be the woman waiting to welcome Dern to the flyweight division. This is the UFC’s newest weight class that is currently being featured on the current season of the UFC’s hit reality television series Galutinis kovotojas (TUF 26). “MissDemeanor” is a native of the Memphis, Tennessee area and holds a purple belt in jiu-jitsu. She is also a high school wrestling coach and IFBB professional fitness competitor. Polk competed at the final RFA event (RDA 46) before RFA merged with Legacy FC. Upon signing with RFA and knowing about the eventual merger, Polk made her intentions clear that she would love the opportunity to compete against Dern, who was competing for Legacy FC. Polk will now get her wish at LFA 24.

FIRST NEF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE AWARDED ON NOVEMBER 3RD

If it is a striking match Walker is looking for, she will indeed find it in Hilarie Rose. Rose, who trains at USMMA in Bellingham, Masačusetsas, burst onto the local fight scene in late 2014 with an ultra-brutal switch kick knockout of Tiffany McCoy (2-1). She has won her last two fights, and Rose is determined to end Walker’s streak to become the first-ever NEF women’s champion.

“I’m looking forward to fighting Alex for NEF’s first woman’s strawweight championship,” said Rose. “Alex has won her last few fights and looks like she’s got quick arm locks. Richard Barrientes is obviously doing a great job with his students, and we had to know what his secret was. He points to “consistency” ir “fundamentals” as the foundation for a great fighter, and he also puts a lot of work in every day to put his Las Vegas Pound 4 Pound gym on the world stage in a huge way. This was a fantastic interview with a man who obviously cares deeply about the sport and wants to make a positive impact on society. His hard work paid off in giving him a group of kids who could become future world champions in their respective divisions. He is indeed, doing something right in Las Vegas, and he explains everything about his program in this interview.

Tomas, Tony and Rich also discussed Mayweather vs. McGregoras, Tim Hague’s recent death after a brutal defeat in boxing, Female Boxer Heather Hardy’s pro MMA debut for Bellator, and Matt Hughes’ tragic accident in the first part of the broadcast. LOS ANGELES – Bellator is pleased to announce the signings of Valérie Létourneau (8-6), Alejandra Lara (6-1), Sabriye Şengül(Debiutas), Kristi Lopez (2-0), Na Liang (6-0) ir Juliana Velasquez (5-0) to multi-fight contracts that will see them compete in Bellator’s emerging 125-pound division. FIRST WOMEN’S MMA TITLE FIGHT IN MAINE AT NEF 28

A native of Bow, Naujasis Hampšyras, Kerri Kenneson trains with Team Link in Hooksett. She has won her last four in a row, including a victory over NEF veteran Kylie O’Hearn (1-2) praeitą vasarą. Kenneson’s sole loss came in her MMA debut two years ago this April. Coming off a win on a fight card last month in New York State, Kenneson is confident that she will defeat Borga and claim the NEF bantamweight title at “NEF 28.”

Walker and Baker were originally scheduled to face each other last month at “NEF 27.” Deja, a medical issue forced Walker to withdraw from the contest just days before the fight. Now fully healed, Walker is back training regularly at the Kaze Dojo in Lancaster, New Hampshire in preparation for “NEF 28.”

 

“Injuries have plagued me and my team for the last two years, but I am healthy now, so watch out,” exclaimed Walker. “I am going on a run and nothing will stop me!”

 

Losing her opponent so close to the event was definitely a disappointment for Baker and her many fans. Training in the martial arts from an early age, the eighteen-year-old had waited years to compete in the MMA cage. Baker is a member of Young’s MMA in Bangor, Meino. She made her amateur boxing debut last year.

 

“I was really bummed when Alex withdrew from our fight,” said Baker. “You make the sacrifices it takes to train and diet, not to mention the disappointment of those who purchased tickets. But I knew, and our fans knew, Alex is a warrior and would not back out unless something was wrong. I’m looking forward to finally meeting her in the cage on Balandžio 29 d.”

YOUNG FEMALE ATHLETES LOOK TO MAKE THEIR MARK AT NEF 27

She won the Isshinryu World Karate Championship in 2009 ir 2013, and has been a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for seven years, regularly taking part in local tournaments. SECOND WOMEN’S MMA FIGHT ANNOUNCED FOR NEF 25

Lewiston, Meino (Rugpjūtis 18, 2016) - DėlRugsėjis 10, 2016 Naujosios Anglijos Kovų (NEF) returns to Lewiston with its next event, “NEF 25: HEROES & VILLAINS.” Just 48-hours following the announcement of a professional women’s mixed-martial-arts (MMA) bout between Sarah “SwitchKick” Spauskite (0-1) and Valerie “Valociraptor” Aspaas (0-0), the promotion confirmed a second women’s fight for the card. In the amateur bantamweight division, Rachael Joyce (1-0) imsis Jessica “The Black Widow” Borga (2-1).

 

Rachael Joyce is a member of Team Irish and Gracie Barra Bangor based in Brewer, Meino. She made her amateur MMA debut in October 2015 against Christine Brothwell (0-2). Joyce won the fight via knockout in the second round. She has since had difficulty finding opponents until Borga stepped up to take the bout at “NEF 25.” Joyce currently holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).

 

“This fight has been a long time coming for me, and NEF has finally made it happen,” - pasakė Joyce. “I am a completely different fighter than I was a year ago, and I’m ready to show everyone on September 10th in the NEF cage against a committed opponent. “I’m always looking to forward to fighting worthy opponents,” said Borga when reached for comment.

Lewiston, Meino (Rugpjūtis 17, 2016) – For the second time in New England Fights (NEF) istorija, a professional women’s mixed-martial-arts (MMA) bout will take to the fight promotion’s cage. ApieRugsėjis 10, 2016 when NEF returns to Lewiston with its next event, “NEF 25: HEROES & VILLAINS,” the professional portion of the MMA card will feature a women’s flyweight bout between Sarah “SwitchKick” Spauskite (0-1) ir Valerie “Valociraptor” Aspaas (0-0). Click and Aspaas will look to continue the recent tradition of women’s fights taking “Kova Nakties” honors at NEF events. Judging from the extensive martial arts backgrounds of both competitors, the fight could very well do just that.

 

Sarah Click made her initial foray into the martial arts world at just eight-years-old when she began training in Taekwondo. Now a sergeant in the United States Army, Click began competing in MMA in 2014 after returning from a tour of Afghanistan. Over the course of her amateur career, Click captured several regional titles throughout New England and New York. She made her professional debut for national promotion Invicta last spring. Click is a member of Team Juniko of Hyannis, Masačusetsas.

 

“I’m really excited for the opportunity to fight at one of New England’s best promotions,” said Click of NEF. “They are doing big things for fighters, and they are coming off one of their best shows to date. Valerie has fought some of the best 125 talent, going the distance with KGB and Kaitlyn Chookagain. I’m going to do what I do best and bring a war that you won’t want to miss!”

 

Like her opponent, Valerie Aspaas got her start in martial arts at a young age, training in Isshin-Ryu Karate. She currently holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Į 2014, Aspaas won the Buffalo, New York version of the Golden Gloves. She made her NEF debut at “NEF IX” į Biddeford, Meino, defeating Maria Rios (2-3) per vieningu sprendimu. The fight was a brutal bloodbath that had the capacity crowd on the edge of its collective seat for the duration. Aspaas will enter the professional ranks at “NEF 25.”

 

“My professional debut has been a long time coming, and I am honored to have the opportunity to do it under NEF,” said Aspaas when reached for comment. “I fought for them a few years back, and I believe that the promotion and the people of Maine remember the bloody, exciting battle I fought against Maria Rios. They should expect to see more of the same ferocity and grit from a more evolved version of the Valociraptor when I step back into the cage on September 10th.”
