The 10-round main event between extremely aggressive junior welterweights O’Connor and Claggett figures to be a barn-burner from the opening bell to the end. Neither fighter takes a step backwards, nor do they ever stop firing punches, which makes for an incredibly entertaining, can’t miss showdown.
“I’m going to pick Claggett apart,” the 32-year-old O’Connor predicted. “A lot is at stake and that’s why I pushed for this fight. I could have fought an easier opponent, but I didn’t want to. I’m going to break into the elite level of boxing and this is a step towards that.”
O'Connor (29-3, 11 Kos), fighting out of Framingham, MA, gins savo Pasaulio bokso taryba (WBC) Silver International junior welterweight title for the first time. The popular boxer was a 2008 Ne JAV. Two of New England’s most promising, undefeated prospects, “Tylus Assassin” Viljamas Fosteris III (6-0, 6-0 (5 Kos) ir Irvin Gonzalez, will be showcased in a pair of six-round matches.
A gifted junior lightweight fighting out of New Haven, KT, Foster takes on former WBC International bantamweight champion Nikas “Kanyankole” Otieno (31-13, 13 Kos), while UBF All-American super featherweight champion Gonzalez, Vusterio, MA, meets fellow unbeaten featherweight prospect, Ugandan Sulaiman Segawa (9-0, 3 Kos), who now lives and trains in Silver Springs, Merilandas.
