Cuban vs. Cuban: Livan Navarro and Armando Alvarez Ready for War at Heavyweight Factory’s “Rumble at the Rock 2” on Friday, Siedem. 28 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Kasyno – Hollywood

Cuba’s undefeated Livan “Machine Gun Kid” Navarro (8-0, 5 KO) loves a good test.

Never one to shy away from a challenge, the Miami (via Havana) welterweight will be in tough once again this Friday night, when he takes on fellow Cuban Armando “The Gentleman” Alvarez (18-1, 12 KO) of Key West.

The rare Cuban vs. Cuban showdown, also Navarro’s first fight scheduled for 10 Rundy, highlights a stacked undercard on Friday, Siedem. 28, z “Rumble at the Rock 2,”professional boxing event at the Hard Rock Event Center at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla.

Przedstawione przez Kris Lawrence and The Heavyweight Factory, in the night’s 10-round main event, Honolulu, Hawaii’s undefeated Logan “The Korican Kid” Yoon (12-0, 10 KO) will defend his WBO-NABO Youth Junior Welterweight Championship against John “El Emperador” Rentería (16-4-1, 12 KO) of Panama. In the 10-round co-main event, Miami via Ekibastuz, Kazakhstan’s Mussa “Warrior” Tursyngaliyev (7-0, 6 KO) will face Monteira, Colombia’s Deivi “El Cabo” Bassa (20-5, 12 KO) przez 10 rounds for the WBA International Featherweight Championship.

Tickets for “Rumble at the Rock 2” cost $60, $100, $150, $250 i $500 VIP and are available through ticketmaster.com.

Tak, is Navarro ready for a former WBC Latino Welterweight Champion in just his ninth fight?

"On jest dobrym zawodnikiem, but I feel my style will overpower whatever his so-called experience advantage is,” said a confident Navarro. “I was 312-17 as an amateur and I’m already 8-0 jak pro. I’ve been brought in as an opponent, supposedly to lose, on a Golden Boy card and a PBC show in Miami, and I knocked both those guys out. I fight my best when people don’t think I can win.”

To prepare, Navarro has reunited with trainer Herman Caicedo and gone back to what works best for the Cuban power puncher.

“I’m coming to scrap. This won’t be chess match. We’re going to scrap. That’s my style. Przychodzę do walki. I wait on the KO and when I see my opening I take it.”

Navarro says he doesn’t mind being part of an unusual “Cuban vs. Cuban” showdown.

“I’ll fight anyone. I’ve fought Cubans all my life back home, so no, it doesn’t bother me. This is a business. You see Mexican vs Mexican and Puerto Rican against Puerto Rican, so why can’t it be Cuba vs Cuba? Good fighters should fight one another, and the cream will rise to the top. It’s all business when I step in the ring. I wish Armando all the luck in the world. He will need every ounce.”

Alvarez says he knows he looked vulnerable in his last fight, a nationally televised loss to undefeated Jaron Ennis in July, and that’s why Navarro is willing to fight him.

But Alvarez says Team Navarro has made a big mistake.

"Jestem 100 percent injury free and mentally ready,” said Alvarez. “That’s what his team didn’t take into account. I fought Ennis with an injury that badly affected my performance. They’re expecting that Armando Alvarez to show up that night, but I’m ready to prove ‘The Gentleman’ is here and alive. He’s a good boxer and he comes to fight, but amateur and pro are two different things and he’s not ready.”

Alvarez says he also doesn’t believe in the unwritten code some fighters carry that says Cubans can’t fight each other.

“It’s rare for two Cubans to face each other, but I think the best should fight the best. I don’t believe in not fighting another Cuban. He’s Cuban from Cuba from Cuba. I’m Cuban too, but I was born and raised here and I think anybody can fight anybody else.”

Alvarez says he’s looking forward to getting back in the win column in front of a large group of his fans.

“I’ll have the majority of the supporters at the fight. I’ll have lots of family and friends. It always helps me when my fans are there live. It pushes me to go that much harder.”

A treasure for Florida’s fans of live boxing, Heavyweight Factory’s fights at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino have become the nation’s strongest off-TV boxing series. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino znajduje się w 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood, Fla. Kennerdale: It’s Going to be a War on Saturday Night!

KENNERDALE Vs PEERS

PBC Silver English Welterweight Championship

29th September 2018 – Pride Park, Derby

Over the past year or so there’s been a lot of speculation, or should that be desire, about the possibility of an all Merseyside showdown between local heroes Craig Kennerdale and Paul Peers.

Until very recently it had been just pure wishful thinking, it had been proposed on numerous occasions and failed to be made, however come Saturday night this much anticipated showdown finally becomes a reality, as promoter Dan Gray decided enough of the talking, if the fans want the fight, they should have their wishes come true and added it to the card for his upcoming event at the home of Derby County FC, Pride Park in Derby.

When Dan Gray first proposed the fight to Paul Peers, Peers had told himGood luck mate, others had tried to make the match-up in the past and failed. Not to be deterred Gray not only convinced Kennerdale’s manager Kyle Gallagher that the time was right, but also the unbeaten prospect himself.

Speaking from his Liverpool home Craig Kennerdale explained why he decided to take the fight now.

I always knew that Paul and I would face each other one day, but always expected it to be much later on in our careers, but when Dan (Gray) dangled the carrot of making it for a title, my first title shot, I just couldn’t refuse.

I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for so long, I’ve been around the sport since I was ten years of age and in that time every single training session, every spar and every fight I’ve ever had has been leading to this fight, I can’t wait for Saturday night, it’s my dream to win a title.

I can’t help but think that this fight has all the hallmarks of being a seriously good all action fight the fans will love to watch.

I believe styles make fights, the difference in our styles, as well as the way we approach fights make this a very interesting match-up. It’s going to be a war on Saturday night.

Like most boxers on the Liverpool circuit, I know Paul’s ability and believe me I’m not taking anything lightly, he’s a good technical boxer with a strong amateur pedigree.

I’m unbeaten in the pros and believe me I don’t intend on losing my ‘0’ anytime soon.

Although I have respect for Paul, I’m here to win. Jestem w najlepszej formie w moim życiu, I’m hitting harder and faster than ever before and because of that I have every confidence that it will be me that lifts the belt come fight night.

Respect to Paul Peers and may the best man win!”

Peers Prepares to Face Kennerdale In All Merseyside English Title Clash

There’s nothing quite like a local Derby, whether Football or any sport but especially Boxing, to get the fans salivating and when it’s an all Merseyside clash it is without doubt the most mouth-watering of them all.

On Saturday 29th September, on neutral ground at Pride Park in Derby, the home of Derby County Football Club, life-long Everton fan Paul Peers will step into the ring against fellow Merseysider and staunch Reds fan Craig Kennerdale.

Adding extra spice to the contest, if being a Merseyside Derby wasn’t enough; there will be a Title Belt at stake, the Professional Boxing Council (PBC) Silver English Welterweight Championship.

Speaking from his new home in the Orkneys, Peers made it clear he wasn’t just coming to make up the numbers.

“Naprawdę nie mogę się doczekać tej walki, it’s one that could and should have happened last year.

We’re both from Liverpool, there’s no two ways about it the depth of talent in the city is growing all the time. Liverpool has produced so many Champions over the years, everything from English to World Champions, hopefully after the 29th my name will be added to the long, long list.

I have every intention of boxing at my very best as I try to win this English title, as will Craig.

I’ve seen that Craig is right up for this, he looks even faster now than when I see his training videos. That shows he’s fit and he’s ready, which makes for a good fight, as so am I.

It will be storming fight, expect fireworks on the night, there’s so much a stake, not just bragging rights, I want that belt around my waist.

Here is what the participants at the media event had to say Thursday from Fortune Gym in Los Angeles:

Victor Ortiz

“John Molina Jr. jest wojownikiem, and it’s going to be two warriors on fight night. This is another chance for me to do what I love to do and what I have the most passion in the world for.

You have to keep that fire burning inside you to keep competing in this sport. You have to go in there 100 mile na godzinę. This is a sport and I’m going in there to destroy him, then we can go have lunch after.

I have lots of respect for Molina, but this is still boxing. He’s in my way right now and I’m going to knock him out of the way.

I have one big task ahead of me and that’s John Molina Jr. września 30. I can’t focus on anyone else out there, as much as I may want to fight them. I have a tremendous challenge in front of me.

I don’t feel that I have the size advantage. Molina is a big guy. I’m not too small or anything, but at the end of the day we’re going to have a good dance in that ring and there’s going to be no excuses.

I’m working hard each day in camp to be ready for September 30. Whatever the coaches have been asking of me, I’ve been there and delivered.

JOHN MOLINA JR.

I know that Victor is going to be himself in there. We’re both veterans who have been been down this road before. He’s coming to win and that’s what excites me. I think everyone watching is going to get a treat on September 30.

Victor is probably the physically bigger guy because he’s been at welterweight longer, but I think I carry the weight well. I’ve always been big for my weight classes so I think it will fit perfectly.

Training is what I do. I’ve been down this road before so it’s really just built into my system to get in the gym and work hard. Everything has been going great. We’re on track with some hard work ahead to be ready for fight night.

Victor deserves my undivided attention and he has it. Especially for this fight. He is a big strong guy who hits hard for 147-pounds. I never pick the easy guy when I move up in weight. My first fight at 140 was Lucas Matthysse and I expect fireworks for this fight as well.

My ability to bounce back and deal with adversity in the ring is all about mindset. When I’m in that ring, I’m just 100 percent focused on doing what I have to do for my family. I’ve been blessed by boxing. I put it all on the line.

I know I have to go through the fire every time I get into the ring. If I didn’t think that I’d be fooling myself. You can say what you want about Victor, but he’s always been in exciting fights and I’m going to have to deal with that style on September 30.

KARLOS BALDERAS

I envision myself going out there and breaking down my opponent little by little. I think we’ve kept the same kind of training going, but me and my brother are much more comfortable as pros now, so it’s gotten even more productive.

I’m excited to keep working and getting my rounds in, while also having fun with this job I’m blessed to have. I’m not planning to let this fight go the distance and I’m going to take the opportunity to end it when I see it.

Me and my brother both believe that the fight is really won in the gym. By the time you get up into the ring, it’s just sparring really. That helps me stay relaxed and focused on the work I’m there to do and not worried about anything going on around me.

JOSE BALDERAS

I feel great going into this fight. I’ve learned a lot from each time I’ve gotten into the ring and I’m going to take that into this next fight to put on my best performance.

My goal is always to go out there and be great. I’m ready to break my opponent down and do what I have to do.

It’s exciting to be on the same card as my brother again. We definitely are still invested in each other’s fights. Hopefully we can each take care of business and be able to be there cheering each other on.

RICHARD SCHAEFER, Przewodniczący & CEO Ringstar Sport

It’s refreshing to see the level of respect from Ortiz and Molina. This is an extremely evenly matched fight with no clear favorite. These are fighters who can create a memorable night. It’s the perfect example of how styles make fights.

Both of these men know how to entertain and are must-see television every time they step into the ring. Now they’re fighting each other and it’s got war written all over it. The fans watching on Sunday night and here in Ontario are in for a treat.

I’m excited to see the continued development of Karlos Balderas on September 30. He is quickly making an impression throughout the sport and I believe he’s going to prove that he can live up to the promise in the not too distant future. Sunday will be another step toward what he can really accomplish.

BROOKLYN (Wrzesień 9, 2018) – Shawn Porter became WBC Welterweight World Champion Saturday night as he earned a narrow unanimous decision victory over Danny Garcia in a hotly contested fight live on SHOWTIME from Barclays Center, dom Brooklyn BOXING ™, w wydarzeniu prezentowanym przez Premier Boxing Champions.

All three judges scored the fight in favor of Porter (116-112, 115-113, 115-113) in an electrifying fight in front of 13,058 fans at the 30th professional boxing event at Barclays Center. (Video highlights here: https://s.sho.com/2MWXfRj)

Porter earned the belt that Keith Thurman, who previously defeated Porter and Garcia, was forced to vacate due to an injury.

In an anticipated title fight that was widely regarded as a 50-50 contest in boxing’s deepest division, Garcia vs.. Porter played out as advertised. The difference in total power punches landed throughout the 12-round battle was just five, with Garcia holding the narrow advantage.

In a matchup of accuracy vs. activity, Porter looked to outworked Garcia. He was relentless in his attack and threw 742 total punches and 544 stemple mocy, lądowanie 25 procent. Garcia, z drugiej strony, was the more precise fighter, landing the higher percentage and more meaningful punches. He connected on 46 percent of the 304 power punches he threw. Due to the contrasting styles, the three judges were only able to all agree on four rounds.

I made a prediction and a hard one to live up to,” Said Porter. “I said I wasn’t leaving New York without this belt and I’m not leaving New York without this belt. I knew he was going to be accurate. The game plan for me was to be accurate from the outside and show I could beat him without roughing him up on the ropes.

A disappointed Garcia clearly disagreed with the judges’ karty wyników.

He was throwing a lot,” Said Garcia, who falls to 7-2 w światowych walk tytuł. “I had my defense tight, so I wasn’t feeling his punches. I thought I landed the clearer shots and won this fight.

I have to sit back, relax and see what’s next for me.

Following the announcement of the decision, IBF welterweight champion and consensus top-five pound-for-pound fighter Errol Spence Jr. entered the ring to challenge the newly crowned WBC champion to what would be a blockbuster unification bout.

The same way that you called Danny out, I’m going to call you out”, said Spence. “I think I’m the best welterweight in the division. I’m ‘The Truthand I guarantee you I come home as unified champion. I definitely want that fight against Porter.

It was a star-studded night at Barclays as current and former world champions attended the fights, including Spence, Mikey Garcia, Jarrett Hurd, Gervonta Davis, Adrien Broner, Andre Berto, Claressa Shields, Keith Thurman and Jermell and Jermall Charlo.

In the co-featured event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING, consensus top-10 welterweight Yordenis Ugás (23-3, 11 KO) out boxed Argentina’s Cesar Miguel Barrionuevo (34-4-2, 24 KO) on his way to a dominating unanimous decision victory (119-109, 120-108, 120-108). With the win in the WBC title eliminator, Ugas earns the WBC’s second mandatory position to fight Porter.

In a tactical performance, Ugas dictated the pace from the opening bell and looked comfortable throughout the 12 Rundy. He was the more effective fighter from the outset, lądowanie 55 procent swoich ciosów energetycznych i 35 procent jego całkowitych ciosów. Barrionuevo, who was facing a big step-up in competition, was never able to trouble the former Olympic bronze medalist out of Cuba, despite throwing more punches.

Barrionuevo connected on just 26 procent swoich ciosów energetycznych i 19 procent jego całkowitych ciosów. Ugas was the far more accurate puncher connecting on 55 procent swoich ciosów energetycznych i 35 procent jego całkowitych ciosów, including a wild multi-punch assault on Barrionuevo in the eighth round.

We won today and I think I showed everybody my talent,” said Ugas, who improves to 8-0 w 147 funtów. “I’m happy with my performance. I showed enough, now I’m ready for a championship fight.

I want the winner of Danny Garcia vs. Shawn Porter. I’m here to compete with the top-level guys in the sport.

I just didn’t have the right distance tonight,” said Barrionuevo, who was making his U.S. debiut. “It was hard to catch him and attack. He countered well and attacked the body. I showed my heart but he was the better fighter tonight.

W otwieracza transmitowane, heavyweight slugger Adam Kownacki (18-0, 14 KO) remained undefeated by scoring a unanimous decision victory over former world champion Charles Martin (25-2-1, 23 KO) in a sensational action-packed fight. Each of the judges scored the fight 96-94 in favor of the hometown favorite Kownacki, who was fighting in front of a boisterous contingent of Polish fans.

Both fighters were incredibly active, w pobliżu 1400 total punches thrown throughout the 10 Rundy. Kownacki and Martin, the former IBF heavyweight champion, each threw over 500 power punches and landed 37 percent of them.

Kownacki, who was fighting at Barclays Center for the seventh time in his pro career, started the fight on the front foot, backing up his opponent and wearing him out on his way to winning the early rounds. Martin began to claw his way back into the fight and caught a second win in the seventh round, landing several powerful left-handed blows to the head of Kownacki.

In a contender for the 2018 Okrągły Roku, the 10th and final round saw tremendous back-and-forth action with both fighters trading devastating exchanges while doing their best to stay on their feet.

Cokolwiek zdecydują, to trasa, którą zamierzamy obrać.

“Myślałem, że wygrałem decyzję nieco szerzej niż karty, ale Charles przyszedł walczyć całą noc. Był w formie i zbliżał się, a ja musiałem kopać głęboko.”

Jaskółka oknówka, który został ukarany powolnym startem, był łaskawy w porażce i wyraził uznanie dla Kownackiego.

“Jestem spóźnionym starterem, ale dziś był lepszym człowiekiem,” powiedział. “Wygląd jest bardzo mylący, ale to boks. Stoczyłem piekielnie walkę i poszedłem 10 Rundy. Właśnie wyszedłem krótko.”

In streaming coverage of live undercard fights on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING COUNTDOWN, Amanda Serrano (35-1-1, 26 KO) became the first six-division world champion in women’s boxing history, joining Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya as the only boxers, Mężczyzna czy kobieta, to reach the mark. To kolejna walka o moje dziedzictwo. Planuję tam wejść i dawać 150 procent i dając z siebie wszystko, moja krew, pot i moje łzy, sprawiając, że moja rodzina i przyjaciele są dumni. Danny Garcia, kochanie. Wygraj do 9 lat. ”

Shawn Porter:

„Trudno wyrazić słowami, jak bardzo tego chcę. Najlepszym sposobem, w jaki mogę to opisać słowami, jest to, że nigdy w życiu nie chciałem niczego więcej. Do niektórych, to tylko pasek, ale dla mnie to mój świat. Tak jak powiedziałem, Nie opuszczę Brooklynu bez tego paska. Shawn Porter zwycięży jutro wieczorem. ”

Yordenis Ugás:

„Jestem twardym wojownikiem i lubię walczyć z najlepszymi. Lubię facetów, którzy mogą tam stać i walczyć.

On nie ma serca, więc wejdę tam wcześniej i go skrzywdzę ”.

Charles Martin:

„Mówił to samo [rzeczy], ale zobaczymy jutro. To wszystko. Idę. To wszystko, co mam do powiedzenia."

Amanda Serrano:

"Czuję się świetnie. Uwielbiam walczyć w Barclays i po raz kolejny będę tworzyć historię. Wszystkie moje tytuły wygrałem przez nokaut, więc chcę to zrobić ponownie. Brooklyn to mój drugi dom - mój dom z dala od domu. Cieszę się, że mogę to zrobić na Brooklynie w Barclays Center i mam nadzieję, że będzie więcej. ”
