Moises Chucky Flores remains undefeated winning IBO title wants Rigondeaux next

WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA (Оны зургадугаар сар 12, 2016) – Last night at the Ramatex Factory in Windhoek, Намиби, Mexico’s super-bantamweight standout, Moises “Chucky” Цэцэг (25-0, 17 Kos) remained undefeated with a 12-round unanimous decision over hometown hero, Paulus Ambunda (24-2, 10 Kos). With the victory Flores captured the IBO championship and retained his WBA interim title.
Цэцэг, who hails from Guadalajara, Мексик, controlled the action from the opening round. Flores scored three knockdowns throughout the fight using superior boxing skills while applying pressure to keep Ambunda off balance. As Flores mounted a substantial lead he never looked back. Scorecards read 115-110, 115-111 болон 114-111, all in favor for Flores.
“It’s never an easy task going into someone’s hometown and getting the victory,” said Moises “Chucky” Цэцэг. “I had complete faith in myself, as did my team, fighting Ambunda in his hometown. Evaluate your performance against Junior Wright in your last fight?
BS: “I am 100-percent a completely different fighter than in my previous fight against B.J. Цэцэг. Гэвч, at the beginning of this fight, I had a little bit of ring rust. The inactivity is really hard for me. I would like to be busier and fight more often. I already started training and doing light exercises, right after my fight on May 21st. In my next fight, I will be even more different fighter against Lebedev.”
How does it feel to be the only fighter from your country to be 2-division world champion?
BS: “I don’t really think about those things. My main goal is to unify all of the titles and fight all the best fighters.”
You’ve always wanted to unify as a way of determining who the best or real champ is. Онд 20-11, you almost fought a unification as WBA light heavyweight but then-WBO champion Juergen Braehmer who suddenly went home a few days before the scheduled unification fight. How does it feel to know that you will be fighting Lebedev for WBA super and IBF cruiserweight titles within 120 өдөр тавдугаар сараас 21?
BS: “This has always been my goal – to unify – and I’m motivated even more knowing that I am going to fight for those two titles very soon.”
Do you think a deal will be made between your manager, Al Haymon and Lebedev’s promoter, Andrei Ryabinsky, or will it go to purse bid?

BS: “I have heard rumors that Lebedev doesn’t want to fight me and, if this is true and he relinquishes his WBA Super belt, then I want to fight Dorticos because every organization should only have one champion in each division. I hope this isn’t the case, as I have been waiting to fight Lebedev since I won the WBA interim title (mandatory) back in July of 2015. The WBA has ordered us to fight within 120 өдөр of May 21st. World champion Beibut Shumenov to defend title vs. Junior Wright this Saturday night in Las Vegas

Shumenov’s last fight was back in July, in which he defeated B.J. Цэцэг (31-1-1, 20 Kos) by 12-round unanimous decision in Las Vegas to capture the vacant WBA Interim title, making the former WBA light heavyweight champion Shumenov the first professional boxer from Kazakhstan to be a two-division world champion.
By becoming the WBA Interim cruiserweight champion, Shumenov also became the No. 1 ranked mandatory challenger for WBA Super cruiserweight titlist Денис Лебедев (28-2, 21 Kos), who also fights Энэ Бямба гариг in Russia against International Boxing Federation (IBF) аварга Виктор Emilio “Tyson-де-Abasto” Рамирез (22-2-1, 17 Kos) in a unification match.
The WBA has already mandated that the Lebedev-Ramirez must fight Shumenovwithin 120 өдөр. WBA Interim Champ Zhakiyanov and Camp Respond to ‘Blatantly False’ Rumors Being Spread by Super Flyweight Contender Zolani Tete
Interim WBA World Bantamweight Champion Zhanat “ZZ” Zhakiyanov (26-1, 18 Kos) and his representatives are now forced to respond to the deliberate falsehoods being distributed by the team around South African super flyweight Zolani Tete. Zhakiyanov of Petropavl, Казахстан, is a proud warrior, who has been willing to face anyone from the start of his career. Which is what makes the blatantly false and intentionally misleading allegations by Tete’s camp so infuriating.
Tete and his manager, Mla Tengimfene, have been feeding the media a fictional story that Zhakiyanov recently backed out of a purported fight between the two, supposedly scheduled for Оны зургадугаар сар 4 at Echo Arena in Liverpool.
One problem.
Zhakiyanov and his people were never even contacted about such a fight. It never existed.
“I have never heard from anyone about this fight,” said Zhakiyanov. “They are saying I can’t make the weight and that’s why I can’t fight him. I was never supposed to fight him! He and his people are telling stories.”
Zhakiyanov’s manager, Philippe Fondu, wonders why the media would even believe such a fight ever existed when a quick check of the WBA rule book would have eliminated all talk of such a match-up.
“There were some unfounded rumors on the net about Zhanat defending against Tete a while ago, but having never received any concrete proposal from anyone, including his new promoter Frank Warren, I never paid any specific attention to these rumors. But let’s be honest here. Zhanat Zhakiyanov is the reigning interim WBA Bantamweight champion and Tete is actually boxing for other world organizations (IBF and/or WBO). Цаашилбал, Tete is rated #9 in the WBA super-flyweight division (115 lb.). Such a contest could obviously not even be considered, as a WBA Interim 118-lb. champion can only defend his title against a WBA top-15 rated boxer in the 118 LB. division.”
Fondu also says that Zhakiyanov, promoted by Hatton Promotions, is fully capable of making the 118-lb weight limit and welcomes any and all viable fight proposals approvable by the WBA.
“I have been in boxing many years and I understand using the media to get a fighter’s name in print,” continued Fondu, “but they are using the name of a champion and proud representative of his home country of Kazakhstan to do it and it’s not right. Hopefully the media will get more responsible about checking the facts in the future.”

“The WBA told me and announced to the media that it was working to have only one world champion in each division. While I’ve been sitting out the last four months waiting to fight, the WBA has decided to allow six different guys to fight for гурван WBA cruiserweight world titles, practically on the same day, instead of crowning only one WBA cruiserweight world champion. I look forward to returning to the ring and my manager, Аль HAYMON, has advised me that I will fight in May and we will announce next week.
