“Jag vet att jag kommer att segra utan tvekan. Någon som du får i ringen med dessa små, 8-ounce gloves always has a possibility of creating an upset whether he’s a big puncher or not. Det tar bara ett skott. It’s the fighters’ job to take away that opportunity.

“Jag har sex söner, alla av dem är kämpar. De har alla olika egenskaper som människor som översätter annorlunda i vilka de är som människor och i ringen.
“Antonio Russell är 4-0, Han har jobbat riktigt hårt hela sitt liv. Utanför gymmet, han kan fixa något. Antoine, som bara kvalificerad för de olympiska prövningar, är lysande. Jag är väldigt stolt över honom eftersom han precis tagit examen valedictorian av hans klass med den högsta GPA någon i Prince George länet. Då har du Gary, som så hårt arbetande, han är framtiden patriarken i familjen. Han har en gammal anda.

Guillermo Rigondeaux’ manager accepts offer From Vasyl Lomachenko’s manager

KORK, Irland (Juli 13, 2015) – Irländaren Gary Hyde, chef för enhetlig super bantamvikt (122 Ibs.) världsmästare Räkning “Schakalen” Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 Kos), har godtagit i princip erbjudandet från Egis klimat, chef för World Boxing Organization (WBO) fjäder (126 Ibs.) mästare Vasyl “Hi-Tech” Lomachenko (4-1, 2 Kos), för en Super slagsmål.

 

Rigondeaux är den regerande World Boxing Association (WBA) Super, WBO och The Ring Tidningens super bantamvikt mästare.

 

Kubansk-native Rigondeaux, som nu bor i Miami, och ukrainsk-födda Lomachenko är båda två-tiden olympiska guldmedaljörer.

 

“'Rigo’ kommer att kämpa Lomachenko på en catchweight av 124 pounds, som ska vara några problem för Lomachenko eftersom han vägde 125 pund för en av hans yrkesmässiga slagsmål, Hyde sa. “'Rigo’ är en liten 122-pundiga som kan göra 118 utan mycket besvär, men han skulle ge bort storlek och vikt fördelar att möta Lomachenko.

LAS VEGAS (April 30, 2015) – Undefeated WBC Super Bantamweight World Champion Lion “Jordskalv” Santa Cruz, WBO Featherweight World Champion Vasyl Lomatjenko, their opponents and non-televised fighters participated Torsdag in the undercard final press conference before their respective fights taking place this Saturday, Maj 2, live on pay-per-view at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

 

In pay-per-view fights before Floyd “Pengar” Mayweather möter Manny “Pac” Pacquiao in their epic welterweight championship unificiation showdown, the Mexican star Santa Cruz (29-0-1, 17 Kos) will take on fellow Mexican countryman Jose Cayetano (17-3, 8 Kos) in a 10-round featherweight contest and Ukraine’s Lomachenko(3-1, 1 KO) kommer att försvara mot Puerto Rico Gamalier Rodriguez (25-2-3, 17 Kos).

 

The pay-per-view telecast will be co-produced and co-distributed by SHOWTIME PPV® och HBO Pay-Per-View® börjar vid 9 p.m. OCH/ 6 p.m. PT.

LAS VEGAS (April 29, 2015) - Floyd "Money" Mayweather och Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao faced off for only the third time Onsdag during the final press conference for their long-awaited welterweight world championship unification fight this Lördag, Maj 2, på MGM Grand Garden Arena, live på pay-per-view.

 

The last time the boxing superstars met face-to-face was at the Los Angeles press conference to formally announce the mega-fight on Mars 11. The first time they were photographed up close and personal came at a Miami Heat basketball game in January.

 

In the most eagerly awaited showdown in years – and the richest fight in boxing history — the undefeated and universally recognized No. 1 pound-for-pound boxer Mayweather (47-0, 26 Kos), an 11-time world champion in five weight divisions, will take on the fighting pride of the Philippines, Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 Kos), the only boxer to capture world titles in eight weight classes.

“The only thing I can do is take it one day at a time. When the fight gets here I will go out there and do what I do best and that’s go out and fight.

 

“From the beginning of my career, I’ve always had a game plan. It’s just like chess. We make calculated moves in the ring and outside the ring. I got with the right team and surrounded myself with the right chess pieces.

 

“I’m a lot wiser than I once was. This fight sells itself. Our ultimate goal was to get to this point, whether it was Manny or another fighter.

 

“I don’t take anything away from Manny Pacquiao. He’s a solid fighter; a solid competitor and it will be an intriguing matchup come Saturday.
