Former UFC fighter Steve “Te tōku” Bossé To make his professional boxing debut

Montreal (January 20, 2018) – popular fighter Steve “Te tōku” Bossé will make his professional boxing debut as part of the third installment of the 2017-2018 “CHRONO AVIATION Boxing Series 2017-2018”, February 15th at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal.
A former pugilist on skates, as well as an ex-Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) MMA fighter, Bossé will face tough Bolivian heavyweight Hōngongoi “Conceali” Cuellar Cabrera (12-6-0, 11 Koó), i roto i te a'ee ono-a tawhio.
“CHRONO AVIATION Boxing Series” is presented by Mise-O-Jeu, in association with Videotron, at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal.
Bossé will attempt the Tour de force in terms of achieving popularity and success in his third contact sport. He was a great senior hockey star in Quebec, known as “The King of Fight on Ice”, followed by an MMA career that peaked when he was signed by UFC in 2014.

Bredicean will face an opponent to be determined, while Camara will be opposed byGuadalupe “Pantera” Lincer Ortiz (2-5-0, 1 KO), o Mexico.

In the evening’s opening fight, Steve Bossé’s training partner and experienced mixed martial arts fighter, Yan “Wild Thing” Pellerin de Granby, will also make his pro boxing debut. He’s had 24 MMA fights (11-13-0) and will be facing an opponent to be determined.
Pellerin, who never feared adversity, has faced the best pugilists of his time, including former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin, in addition to UFC veterans from Quebec, Jonathan Goulet a Patrick Côté, as well as his current training partner, Bossé.

This broadcast of the FNU Combat Sports Show starts off with one of the most controversial stories of the week. Many sports pundits are quick to ridicule Guillermo Rigondeaux for bowing out of his blockbuster boxing match with Vasyl Lomachenko last Saturday. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith wasted no time during the broadcast, ripping into the Cuban boxer for refusing to come out for the seventh round of the one-sided fight. Teddy Atlas, exiled from his ringside reporting duties thanks to his outspoken views on boxing corruption and his abrasive treatment of lesser-experienced commentators, came to Rigo’s defense. Atlas argued with Smith from his own home studio, basically explaining that everyone is human. Tom, Tony and Rich all offer their own takes on the situation and their thoughts on the “fight.”

We also track the latest news in combat sports, recap the past week’s events and preview competing UFC and Bellator events this Saturday. We even touch on the multiple story lines involving Floyd Mayweather Jr. that are making the rounds in the sports media this week. “Money” claims he can make up to a billion dollars if he goes into the UFC for a three or four fight deal. Well, good luck, Floyd. I hear CM Punk wants another fight.

We’re Back! FNU Combat Sports Show Returns!

After a couple weeks off, we come back this week to talk about the combat sports world. Tom, Tony and Rich catch up and discuss the events of the past couple weeks and preview upcoming boxing and MMA action. Tom, Tony and Rich pay special attention to last weekend’s awesome UFC card with two of the best fights of the year in MMA to chat about. Eddie Alvarez’s masterful performance against Justin Gaethje was exciting enough, but add in the performance of Yancy Medeiros against Charles Oliveira and that put this card into a category all its own. In the co-main event one of the hottest heavyweight prospects in MMA and recent winner of Dana White’s Rātū Night Contender series, Shelton “The Gravedigger” Pōhatu, faces off against Jason Walraven who will be hungry and looking to prove himself after a TKO loss to one of the toughest heavyweights in MMA, Tony “Kyrptonite” Lopez earlier this year.
A pair of former Ultimate Fighter contestants are also featured on the card in Rob “The Saint” Emerson and Jamie Yager. Emerson, a contestant of The Ultimate Fighter season five, faces David “The King” Sachs in a battle of experienced grapplers who are no strangers to submissions. Yager, a standout in The Ultimate Fighter season 11 and Kings MMA product, brings his explosive style of striking and a two fight winning streak into the cage against the Canadian Tyler “TNT” Jackson who makes his way back to the cage after a three year break from the sport.
Also on the card is Oklahoma product Cortez “The Crazy Cowboy” Coleman who is now training out of Factory X under Muay Thai coah Mark Montoya in Denver Colorado and is looking to get back on track against the surging Christiano “Urso” Frohlich who rides a four fight win streak into a matchup that promises to be a standup battle.
Adding to the lineup of MMA talent will be former Ultimate Fighter season 2 winner and UFC lightweight title contender Joe “Daddy” Stevenson who will be providing commentary on the night’s action.
