LOS ANGELES – JUNE 27, 2018 – Premium pay television network EPIX® has announced the 16 fighters who will be facing off with one another for the championship belt on the revival of boxing franchise series The Contender this fall. The highly anticipated 12-episode season, from MGM Television and Paramount Television, will premiere on EPIX on Aug. 24, 2018 at 10 PM ET/PT.

 

 

 

Hosted by undefeated boxing champion Andre “Son of God” Ward, the first-of-its-kind competitive documentary series for the network will feature 16 fighters pushing their limits in grueling elimination-style fights and testing their grit and determination to achieve their boxing dreams. The fighters will be overseen by legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach, and renowned Philadelphia trainer Naazim Richardson.

The 16 Contenders come from a wide variety of professional boxing backgrounds and stations in life, bringing their unique stories, personalities, strengths and motivations to the series.

 

 

 

Each fighter will be vying to be declared the new 160-pound middleweight champion of The Contender and take home the winner’s six-figure purse — a prize, which, for all the fighters, represents a better life for their families and loved ones who have been there with them through all the ups and downs of their journeys.

  • Ievgen “The Ukranian Lion” Khytrov, Age: 29, Rank: 20, Hometown: Brooklyn, N.Y.– A Ukrainian immigrant, Olympian, Ievgen Khytrov recently relocated to America to pursue his dream of becoming a world champion and to create a better life for his family. A dedicated, quiet, religious man. He’s also the one to beat.

 

 

  • Eric “Babyface Assassin” Walker, Age: 34, Rank: 68, Hometown: Plaquemine, La. – Incarcerated at 15 years old and spent 14 years behind bars for robbery and attempted murder, Eric “Babyface Assassin” Walker learned to box while in prison. He is now fighting for a second chance at life, living proof that it’s never too late to live out your dreams.

 

 

  • John “Apollo Kid” Thompson, Age: 29, Rank: 70, Hometown: Newark, N.J. – After losing his mother to AIDS at six years old, this married performing artist, painter and fighter, John “Apollo Kid” Thompson is here to prove to the world that he can’t be boxed into a single category despite holding impressive titles including the 2015 WBA-NABA Super Welterweight, WBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight and Boxcino Tournaments.

 

  • Malcolm “The Punisher” McAllister, Age: 27, Rank: 172, Hometown: Long Beach, Calif. –Always at the center of schoolyard fights growing up, Malcolm “The Punisher” McAllister now channels his energy into helping others rebuild outside of foreclosure and his young, growing family. In boxing has built an impressive KO record and the 2014 Golden Gloves title on his journey to take the title of The Contender.

 

 

  • Brandon “The Cannon” Adams, Age: 28, Rank: Inactive, Hometown: Los Angeles, Calif. – A bold fighter in the ring, Brandon “The Cannon” Adams knows firsthand what it means to push through adversity and step up to care for his family when there’s no one else around to. Coming from a poverty stricken neighborhood, this larger than life father of two marks his return to boxing after a three year hiatus, initiated by a loss to fellow competitor, John Thompson.

 

  • Quatavious “Cash” Cash, Age: 26, Rank: 161, Hometown: Las Vegas, Nev. – This Atlanta native is the current record-holder for fastest KO in Georgia, a four0time Golden Gloves state champ and Bronze medalist. Quatavious Cash is fighting for his late mother and for the chance to prove that a life of fighting street gangs can be channeled for good.

 

 

  • Shane “Sugarman” Mosley, Jr., Age: 27, Rank: 149, Hometown: Santa Monica, Calif. – The lone single contender, son of legendary Hall of Fame boxer “Sugar” Shane Mosley, Shane “Sugarman” Mosley Jr. is fighting to step out of his father’s shadow and carve out his own legacy.

 

  • Daniel “El Chapulin” Valdivia, Age: 25, Rank: 116, Hometown: Tulare, Calif. – A natural salesman and real estate agent by day, nicknamed “El Chapulin” (“Grasshopper”) for his boundless energy, Mexican immigrant Daniel Valdivia was born to step into the ring. With several titles including the NABF Super Welterweight Champion as an underdog, he’s chasing fame to prove giving up college for boxing was the right move.

 

 

  • Michael “The Silverback” Moore, Age: 31, Rank: 252, Hometown:Cleveland, Oh. – Reformed from a hard life on the streets, fraught with drugs, death and family suicide, Michael Moore is a natural hustler and leader. Married with two kids, Moore is constantly moving from state to state with his family in tow in pursuit of the boxing dream.

 

  • Gerald “G5” Sherrell, Age: 24, Rank: 216, Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pa. – A fan of the original Contenderseries growing up, Gerald “G5” Sherrell is an undefeated and explosive fighter with a level of unrivaled and self-proclaimed swagger. Hailing from the projects, this multiple time Golden Gloves, Silver Gloves and Junior Olympic competitor, this local zoo security guard by day, and young father by night, is looking to bring boxing glory back to his hometown of Pittsburgh.

 

 

  • Morgan “Big Chief” Fitch, Age: 34, Rank: 154, Hometown: Pittsburgh, Pa. – Injury-plagued throughout his career, the Native American hailing from Southern Louisiana is a married father of three. Knowing that he’s old for the sport, Morgan “Big Chief” Fitch has one last shot at making his boxing dreams come true.

 

  • Marcos “Mad Man” Hernandez, Age: 24, Rank: 104, Hometown: Fresno, Calif. – Having been bullied from a young age after an accident left him with burns on 30 percent of his body, Marcos “Mad Man” Hernandez is fighting for his young autistic son, in hopes that he won’t be bullied the same way he was. With Junior Olympics, 2012 Blue and Gold titles and “Mexican-go-forward” style fighting he may be overlooked and underestimated.

 

 

  • Tyrone “Young Gun” Brunson, Age: 33, Rank: 39, Hometown: Philadelphia, PA – At a time when he needed to sell drugs to support himself at the age of 13, a stepfather’s ultimatum: be grounded or go to the boxing gym was his saving grace. Now a humble father of two, and sitting with one of the best rankings in the competition, his 24 KO’s send a signal that he will not fight silently but his cocky attitude has beat him more than just once.

 

  • Lamar “Omega” Russ, Age: 31, Rank: 115, Hometown: Wilmington, N.C. -One of four kids raised by a single mom and the first person in his family to graduate college, Lamar “Omega” Russ takes pride in being the underdog, and beneath the loud exterior is a boxer that needs to prove he can put his money where his mouth is. HBO, ESPN and a first round KO on Showtime do all the talking.

 

 

  • John “The Rock” Jackson, Age: 29, Rank: 63, Hometown: St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – A divorced father of two, this slick and agile boxer, Virgin Islander John “The Rock” Jackson started fighting at 12 years old, following in his world champion father Julian Jackson’s footsteps at the Pan American Games and 2008 Olympics. He comes from wealth but cares for the underprivileged and dreams of making his island proud bringing visibility to those struck by recent natural disasters.

 

  • Devaun “Unique” Lee, Age: 30, Rank: 82, Hometown: Jamaica Queens, N.Y.

When one of his friends was shot and killed at 16, Devaun “Unique” Lee knew he needed a way out from the mean streets of Queens. Boxing keeps him straight. So do long hours fueling airplanes and caring for his five year old daughter. The real love of his life. Fatherhood and the sport are the motivation to take his NY State Middleweight championship to the next level.

 

 

The original Contender series ran for four seasons (2005-2009) and launched multiple fighters into contention for world titles, including title winners Sergio Mora, Cornelius Bundrage, Sakio Bika, and Sam Soliman.

 

 

Eric Van Wagenen serves as executive producer and showrunner of the revived franchise alongside Mark Burnett. The format is owned by MGM Television and Paramount Television.

BRISCOE AWARDS SET FOR THIS SUNDAY

PHILADELPHIA – Everything is set for the 11th Annual Briscoe Awards, to be held this Sunday afternoon, March 25, 2018, 1-4 PM, at the VBA Clubhouse in Philadelphia. The event celebrates the biggest and best achievements of the Philadelphia-area boxing scene, and is normally attended by boxers – both past and present, other boxing personalities, and fight fans.
“2017 was a memorable year for our local boxing scene, and it will be great to bring everyone together to celebrate it,” said John DiSanto, founder of the Briscoe Awards. “Our event is really just a party – food, drinks, and a coming together of everyone who loves this sport. It’s always great to see the mix of people that come to the Briscoe Awards. The highlight however, is throwing the spotlight on the fighters who worked so hard to entertain all of us fans. It’s always a good day and a fun time.”
Attending the Briscoe Awards this year will be big winner TYRONE BRUNSON, who will receive three awards – for “Fighter”, “Fight”, and “Performance of the Year”, AVERY SPARROW, both the “Prospect of the Year” and the “Breakout Fighter of 2017”, JARON ENNIS, named “The One to Watch”, DYLAN PRICE, the “Rookie of the Year”, MARCEL RIVERS, who scored the “Knockout of the Year”, RAYMOND FORD, the “Amateur of the Year”, and JEROME CONQUEST, who will receive the “Everett Brothers Award”.

BRISCOE AWARDS THIS SUNDAY AT 1 PM ET

PHILADELPHIA – After ten years of celebrating the biggest and best achievements of the Philadelphia-area boxing scene, the Briscoe Awards will change the timing of their annual event, from October to March.
“For a few years now, I’ve considered moving the awards up to the first part of the year,” said John DiSanto, founder of the Briscoe Awards.  “The original Fall time slot caused a lot of confusion, because by the time we gave out the awards, the fights were old news.  Moving to March will allow us to give out the awards shortly after the fight year ends.  I’m a little nervous about making a change, but in the long run, the move will only make the Briscoe Awards better.”
The Briscoe Awards honor the key fights and fighters of the Philly area every year.  A total of eleven awards will be give out  THIS SUNDAY MARCH 25TH AT 1 PM ET, which includes prizes for the “Philly Fight of the Year”, the “Philly Fight of the Year”, the “Knockout of the Year”, “Amateur of the Year”, “Rookie of the Year”, “Prospect of the Year”, “Performance of the Year”, “Photo of the Year”, and more.
The fighters being honored this year include Tyrone Brunson, Jaron Ennis, Kermit Cintron, Dylan Price, Avery Sparrow, Marcel Rivers, Raymond Ford, Jerome Conquest, and others.

BRUNSON SETS RECORD WITH THREE BRISCOE AWARDS

PHILADELPHIA – PA State junior middleweight champion Tyrone Brunson will be honored with three Briscoe Awards for the eventful year he had in 2017.  During the year, Brunson’s efforts won him three bouts, two belts, and kept his career on track for a big fight in 2018. For these accomplishments, Brunson will take home three Briscoe Awards on March 25th– “Philly Fighter of the Year”, “Philly Fight of the Year”, and “Performance of the Year”.  This will be the first time a fighter has won three Briscoes in a single year.
“Danny Garcia, Steve Cunningham, Bryant Jennings and Tevin Farmer have all won two before, but Brunson will be the first guy to get three on the same day,” said John DiSanto, founder of the Briscoe Awards.  “Tyrone had a great year in 2017, so I’m happy for him.  The voters got it right.”
In addition to the “Fighter of the Year” award, Brunson’s give-and-take battle with former world champion Kermit Cintron was named the “2017 Philly Fight of the Year”.  In the fight, Brunson came off the floor twice to stop Cintron in round five.  For that win, Brunson also earned the Briscoe Award for the “Performance of the Year”.  Along with Brunson, Cintron will receive the Briscoe Award for his participation in the “Fight of the Year”.

Philadelphia, PA (December 5, 2017) – Last Friday night Tyrone Brunson stopped Manny Woods to win the UBF International Junior Middleweight title after eight-rounds of a scheduled ten-round bout in front of a sold out crowd at the 2300 Arena.
The exciting 12-bout card was promoted by King’s Promotions.
Brunson of Philadelphia systematically broke down woods as he boxed well using a pinpoint jab over the first half of the fight.  In round six, Brunson started landing hard power punches and began to stagger Woods.  Finally after round eight, the corner of Woods pulled the plug on the bout, and Brunson scored his 3rd straight win.
Brunson is now 26-6-2 with 24 knockouts.  Woods of Saint Petersburg, Florida is 16-7-1.
In the co-feature Brandon Robinson scored the biggest win of his career by winning an eight-round unanimous decision over Christopher Brooker to win the UBF All Americas super middleweight title.
Robinson got the better of the action as he cut Brooker in 2 places around the left eye.  Brooker tried to get back in the fight over the last couple rounds, but it was Robinson’s boxing and power punches that propelled him to the victory by 80-72, 79-73 and 78-74.
Robinson of Philadelphia is 8-1.  Brooker of Philadelphia is 12-5.

Jaron Ennis took out George Sosa at 1:09 of round two of a scheduled eight-round welterweight bout.
The top prospect, Ennis scored two knockdowns and the fight was stopped at 1:09 of round two.
Ennis of Philadelphia is now 17-0 with 15 knockouts.  Sosa of Reading, PA is 15-11-1.
Omar Douglas made short work of Isais Martin Gonzales by scoring a 1st round stoppage in a scheduled six-round super featherweight bout.
The time of the bout was 1:52 for Douglas of Wilmington, Delaware, who raised his mark to 18-2 with 13 knockouts.  Gonzales falls to 22-10.
Kyrone Davis won an eight-round unanimous decision over Jamie Barboza in a middleweight bout.
Davis of Wilmington, Delaware took all cards in shutout fashion (Barboza was deducted points on two occasions) by scores of 80-70, and he is now 13-1.  Barboza is 19-13.
Joe Hanks won a six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Joel Cauldle in an entertaining heavyweight bout.
Hanks landed the harder shots and was more active against the game Caudle.
Scores were 60-54 twice and 58-56 for Hanks, of Newark, NJ and he is now 22-2.  Caudle of Raleigh, North Carolina is 7-1-1.
Marcus Banks boxed very well for five-plus rounds and then finished off Antonio Rodriguez in the 6th and final round of their super bantamweight bout.
A body shot dropped and stopped Rodriguez at 2:37 of round six, and Bates of Washington, DC is now 8-0-1 with seven knockouts.  Rodriguez of Mexico is 11-20-1.

Colby Madison survived a 1st round knockdown to come back and stop Randy Easton with a body shot at 2:44 of round two of their scheduled four-round heavyweight bout.
Madison of Owings Mills, Maryland is 5-0-1 with 4 knockouts.  Easton of Sunbury, PA is 4-10-2.

Romuel Cruz made a successful pro debut with a 3rd round stoppage over Rondarrius Hunter in a bantamweight bout.
A series of body shot put Hunter down and the bout was stopped at 2:#5.
Cruz of Philadelphia is 1-0 with 1 knockout,  Hunter of Atlanta is 1-2.

Rasheed Johnson of Philadelphia won a four-round unanimous decision over Kashon Hutchinson in a welterweight bout.

Scores were 40-36 twice and 39-37 for Johnson, who raised his mark to 3-1.  Hutchinosn of Reading, PA is 3-4.
Shamsuddeen Justice stopped late-replacement Jack Grady at 2:07 of round one of their welterweight bout.
The time of the finsh came at 2:07 for Justice of Philadelphia, who is now 2-0 with two knockouts.  Gardy of Buffalo, NY is 0-7-1.
Gerardo Martinez won a four-round split decision over Christopher Burgos in a lightweight bout.
Martinez took took cards 39-37 while Burgos won a card 39-37.
Martinez is 2-0.  Burgos is 0-2.

Philadelphia, PA (November 29, 2017) – They fought as amateurs, and are both considered among the best super middleweights in the city.
This Friday night, Brandon Robinson and Christopher Brooker meet as professionals in what could shape up to be an explosive co-feature bout of a 12 fight card at the

2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
The eight-round bout is for the UBF All-Americas title.
The loaded show is promoted my King’s Promotions.
The main event will pit Tyrone Brunson (25-6-2, 23 KOs) against Manny Woods (16-6-1, 6 KOs) of Saint Petersburg, Florida in a junior middleweight bout scheduled for ten rounds.
“Training has been great.  This has been the best camp that I have had since turning professional hands down,” said Robinson. 
Although this could be a breakthrough fight for 29 year-old Robinson, He has been looking at Brooker no different than any previous foe.
“I look at every fight as a big fight.  I see each fight as if I am fighting Canelo or Golovkin, so I get my self in the best shape I can be.”
Being that they are in the same city, there is the aforementioned history between the two fighters.
“We fought as amateurs, and I won that fight.  Since the, we have sparred a couple times, and that has given me a great scouting report on him, and let’s just say I feel very comfortable going into this fight.”
Fighting against another Philly fighter is nothing new for Robinson as he already has a victory over Lamont McLaughlin.
“I have been through this, and these kind of fights bring out the best of me, and with a winon Friday, this will open up many doors for me that I never expected to be opened.  I am looking for a complete performance,  The fans will see power in both hands, craftiness, ring generalship and a huge heart.  I just want to thank King’s Promotions, and I am looking to take home the UBF All-Americas Super Middleweight title.”
For the 26 year-old Brooker, he has been here before but he wants to get back in the win column after losing to undefeated Light Heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali in a fight that he took on short notice on July 18th.
“I got right back in the gym after that fight.  I been working for 12 weeks.  I have a new personal trainer Jermaine Clark and my new trainer Octavio Pineda,” said Brooker.
Brooker does not believe that the amateur loss to Robinson means anything going into Friday night.
“Yea, it does not mean anything.  It was my 3rd amateur fight.  The sparring sessions were good.  I treated them like I wanted to get some revenge for losing to him, and I am very confident after those sessions.  This fight for me is about getting this belt .  People will see me outwork him and outclass him.”
Brooker has made his name throughout the boxing circles with his willing to fight and defeat anybody at anytime.  That is evidenced by his wins over Leo Hall, John Magda, Antowyan Aikens and Gabriel Pham.  Brooker also stepped up to face Elbiali, Ronald Gavril and Ronald Ellis, and he became a favorite on national television because of his tough as nails style.
“Robinson is just another guy in front of me.  I been in and defeated much more experienced fighters then him.  He has not have anything that I have not seen in the ring.  I am not looking past him, I am looking through him.  I was beating Gavril before the fight was unjustly stopped.  He went on to barely lose in a bid for a world title and now he is getting a rematch with him, so that just shows what level I am on.  I want that rematch or (WBC Champion) David Benevidez.”

Philadelphia, PA (November 27, 2017) – Junior Middleweight Tyrone Brunson is looking for a major opportunity in 2018.
Brunson of Philadelphia will first need to get past Manny Woods this Friday night at the 2300 Arena in the ten-round main event of a loaded 12 bout card that is promoted by King’s Promotions.
The 32 year-old is coming off the biggest when of his career when he stopped former two-time world champion Kermit Cintron in five rounds.  The sure-fire Philadelphia Fight of the Year saw Brunson climb off the canvas twice before dropping Cintron three times in the pivotal round five.
“The fight fight gave me a lot of confidence,” said Brunson.  “To do what I did against Cintron who is a two-time world champion.  I am ready for Friday night.”
Despite not having a lot of knowledge of Woods, Brunson expects a great performance.
“I really don’t much about him, but I am not overlooking him.  I have  had a great training camp, and now I am just winding it down.”
“I am looking for a big year in 2018.  With a win on Friday, I am looking to face someone in the top ten or top fifteen, but the goal  is to be number-one in this stacked division.  I just want to thank my promoter King’s Promotions, the fans who have stuck by me, and even all the critics to that know that Tyrone Brunson is coming.”
In the potentially explosive eight-round co-feature, Brandon Robinson (7-1, 6 KOs) takes on Christopher Brooker (12-4, 5 KOs) in a super middleweight battle of fighters from Philadelphia.

The 32 year-old began his career in 2005 with 19 consecutive 1st round knockouts.
Brunson has wins over Jasmes Morrow (8-1-2), Brandon Quarles (18-3-2) and his last bout when he came off the deck twice to score a stunning 5th round stoppage over former two-time world champion Kermit Cintron (39-5-3) in 5 rounds at the 2300 Arena on June 24th.
The fight is a Fight of the Year candidate.
Woods of Saint Petersburg, Florida has a record of 16-6-1 with six knockouts.
The 30 year-old Woods is an eight-year professional, who has a win over contender Wilky Campfort (1-0), Sheldon Moore (3-0) & Elias Espadas (9-2).
In his last bout, Woods stopped Danny Pastrana in two rounds in a bout that took place on July 28th in Kissimmee, Florida.
In the exciting co-feature, hard punching super middleweight’s Brandon Robinson and Christopher Brooker will square off in a bout for the UBF Jr. Regional title that is scheduled for eight-rounds.
Robinson of Upper Draby, Pa. has a record of 7-1 with knockouts.
Robinson after dropping his pro debut to former National Golden Gloves champion Mike Hilton, Robinson has won seven in a row and most have come via explosive knockout, which includes a devastating 1st round stoppage over previously undefeated Brandon Clark.  In his last bout, Robinson took out George Sheppard in four rounds on September 29th at the 2300 Arena.
Brooker of Philadelphia has a record of 12-4 with five knockouts.
The 26 year Brooker turned professional in 2015, and has very impressive victories over Leo Hall (8-0), John Magda (11-0), Antowyan Aikens (10-1-1), Gabriel Pham (6-0), former world title challenger Elvin Ayala (28-7-1).  Brooker is looking to get back in the win column as he is coming off a stoppage defeat at the hands of undefeated Ahmed Elbiali on July 18th.

Philadelphia, PA (July 13, 2017) – The scintillating Pennsylvania Junior Middleweight championship bout that took place on June 24th  between former two-time world champion Kermit Cintron and knockout artist Tyrone Brunson will have at least four airings in Philadelphia area in the coming weeks.
The first airing will this Friday night, July 14th at 9:30 PM ET on The Comcast Network.
Subsequent airings will be on Comcast Sportsnet on Wednesday, July 19th at 9 PM;Sunday, July 23rd at 11 PM and Wednesday, August 2nd at 8:30 PM.
The bout, which was won by Brunson via 5th round stoppage had five knockdowns, and saw Brunson come back from almost-certain defeat and take out Cintron in what ringside observers are calling a sure-fire Fight of the Year candidate.The match is added to the list of classic fights in the long storied history of Philadelphia boxing.
“For the fans that were inside the 2300 Arena, they can witness this great fight again, and for those who only heard about it, they are in for a treat,” said King’s Promotions CEO, Marshall Kauffman.

Philadelphia, PA (June 25  2017) -In a fight that exceeded it’s high expectations, Tyrone Brunson came back from two 4th round knockdowns to come back in the very next round to send former two-time world champion Kermit Cintron to the canvas three times, and win the Pennsylvania State Junior Middleweight title via 5th round stoppage at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.
The spectacular card was promoted by King’s Promotions.
“This was a tremendous fight, and all-around great card.  Some fight’s and cards don’t live up to the expectations, but the main was one of the great fights of this year.  I am proud of all the fighters who competed tonight, as they all brought their best, and it showed in quality of the fights,”said King’s Promotions CEO, Marshall Kauffman.
The fight was nip and tuck for the first three-plus rounds, as Cintron looked very sharp early as he landed some hard right hands in the opening frame.  Brunson came back and had a strong round two.  The fight was fought on event terms until round four, when Cintron
dropped Brunson with a perfectly timed left hand.  Later in the round, Brunson went down from an accumulation of punches on the ropes, and as the fourth round was finished, Brunson seemed just about done as well.
Brunson miraculously came back in round five and turned the tables on the former champ, as he landed a beautiful left that sent Cintron to the canvas.  Cintron, was hurt and theprodigious puncher, Brunson was ready to finish off Cintron.  Cintron never regained his legs and was sent to the canvas two more times, and referee Shawn Clark waved off the bout at1:21.
Brunson is now 25-6-2 with 23 knockouts.  Cintron of Reading, PA falls to 39-6-3.

In the co-Feature, Victor Vazquez won a six-round unanimous decision over Anthony Burgin in a super lightweight bout.

Vazquez dropped Burgin in round two from body, and he took the hotly contested battle by scores of 58-55 twice and 57-56.  Vazquez of Yonkers, NY is now 8-3.  Burgin of Philadelphia is now 10-4.

Steven Ortiz registered two knockdowns en-route to a thrilling six-round unanimous decision over Tyrome Jones in a battle of previously undefeated lightweights.
Ortiz scored knockdowns in rounds three and four in a bout where both guys landed some effective blows.
Ortiz of Philadelphia won by scores of 59-53 twice and 57-56 to remain perfect at 7-0.  Jones of South Bend, IN is now 4-1.
Jerome Conquest won a six-round decision over Jae Ho Kim in a lightweight bout.
Conquest was dropped with a left hook at the end of round three, but he controlled the action, and won by scores of 59-55, 58-55, and 57-56, and is now 8-2.  Kim of Philadelphia via South Korea is now 6-4-1.
Brandon Robinson dominated and took out Rafael Valencia at 2:48 of round two of their scheduled four round super middleweight bout.
Robinson landed a hard right that sent Valencia to the canvas.  Valencia got up, but deemed unable to continue at 2:48.
Robinson of Philadelphia is 4-1 with three knockouts.  Valencia of Medford, OR is 3-8-1.
Gregory Clark won a six-round unanimous decision over Daryl Bunting in a super middleweight bout.
Clark of Washington, DC won by scores of 59-55 twice and 58-56, and is now 3-1-1.  Bunting of Asbury Park, NJ is 3-2-2.
Marcus Bates remained undefeated by winning a six-round unanimous decision over Roberto Pucheta in a bantamweight bout.
Bates of Washington, DC won by scores of 59-54, and 58-55 twice and is now 7-0-1.  Pucheta of Jalisco, MX is 10-12-1.
In a battle of undefeated heavyweights, Colby Madison and Joel Caudle battled to a majority draw.
Caudle took a card at 58-56, while two cards were even at 57-57.
Madison of Baltimore, MD is 4-0-1.  Caudle of Raleigh, NC is 7-0-1.
Chaise Nelson won a four-round unanimous over Jordan Peters in a super bantamweight bout.
Nelson of Mansfield, OH won by scores of 39-37 on all cards and is now 6-1.  Peters of Washington, DC is 2-1-1.
