Alexey Nevzorov & Movsar Evloev to fight for Interim M-1 Challenge bantamweight title

MOSCOW (March 21, 2017) – M-1 Global has ordered an Interim M-1 Challenge bantamweight title fight, due to a long-term injury to reigning champion Somotolo Vitruk, between top contenders Alexey Nevzorov le Movsar Evloev ka M-1 ba-Bothata ba 76, April 22, a Ingushetia, Russia.

Known for his tremendous physicality, coupled with an excellent grappling game and diverse striking skill set, Nevzorov has been tabbed as a future MMA star.

The 32-year-old Kunchenko (13-0-0, M-1 ba-: 6-0-0), fighting out of Tyumen, Russia, captured the title in his last fight, when defending M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Murad Abdulaev retired during the fourth round this past April at M-1 ba-Bothata ba 65. Kunchenko (pictured below) is a Muay Thai specialist originally slated to defend his title in a rematch with Abdulaev, who was unable to accept the challenge at this point do to an injury.

Grabovich (4-2-0, M-1 ba-: 3-0-0), a fellow Russian, earned his title shot by going undefeated in thre M-1 Challenge fights to date. Known for his Greco-Roman wrestling skills, Grabovich’s last action was in June at M-1 ba-Bothata ba 68, in which he took a decision against Danill Prikaza in the Fight of the Night.

BAKU, Azerbaijan (June 5, 2016) — Ukrainian fighter Alexander Butenko won a hard fought 5-round decision over Artiom Damkovsky last night to become the new M-1 Challenge lightweight champion in the M-1 ba-Bothata ba 67 main event in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Butenko (41-11-2) and Damkovsky (20-10-0) battled from start to finish with Buntenko winning a unanimous decision to capture the vacant M-1 Challenge lightweight title.

ST. Petersburg, Russia (June 1, 2016) – A sudden illness has forced Magomed Idrisov to withdraw from his scheduled M-1 Challenge featherweight title fight ena Moqebelo (June 4) against defending champion John “Ena ke” Buchinger ka M-1 ba-Bothata ba 67: Battle in the Land of Fireat Baku, Azerbaijan.

Mikhail Korobkov (9-1-1, M-1 ba-: 0-1-1), ea Russia, is the late replacement for Idrisov but, due to Korobkov coming off of a loss in his last fight (decision to Bochabela ho Nagibin last Friday atM-1 ba-Bothata ba 66), his fight versus Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1 ba-: 5-0-0) is a not for the title and it has been downgraded from main event to co-feature. Korobkov (9-0-1, M-1 ba-: 0-0-1) is coming off of a hard-fought draw with Rodrigo Magalhaes(see above picture) last December at M-1 ba-Bothata ba 63, in which he had his 9-fight win streak snapped that started with his pro debut.
Nagibin has reeled-off seven consecutive wins since he lost his pro debut. Ka M-1 ba-Bothata ba 64 sena se fetileng February, he won a decision over Zhenya Lezhnev. Nagibin is known for his powerful kicks (see picture below) and back-fists.
