Atlantic City, NJ (November 2, 2017)–Tough veteran Samuel Amoako steps in for Tomas Mendez to fight popular welterweight contender Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna in a scheduled ten-round bout for the LBF Intercontinental welterweight title on Saterdag, November 18th by The Claridge in Atlantic City.
The bout will headline a nine-bout card promoted by Rising Promotions, Greg Cohen Promotions, Devin Haney Promotions & Winner Take All Productions.
This is boxing and changes always happen. I was looking forward to fighting Mendez but due to visa issues, that killed the fight. I’m not taking Amoako lightly because any fighter is dangerous in their own way. Amoako has fought a lot of good fighters and only been stopped twice in his career. Wasn’t my favorite choice as opponent but Amoako was the first to sign contract last minute,” gesê LaManna.

LaManna van Millville, New Jersey will be making the 1st defense of the WBC Silver Latino title that he won on August 19th when he scored two knockdowns en-route to a ten round unanimous decision over George Sosa at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-It was a bittersweet night for welterweight contender Thomas LaManna as he won a 10-round unanimous decision over George Sosa in an entertaining bout in front of a capacity crowd at The Claridge Hotel In Atlantic City.

The 11-bout card was promoted by Rising Promotions.

LaManna won the WBC Silver Latino Welterweight title and shortly after, the fighter known as “Cornflake” promptly announced his retirement in the ring.

The two traded big blows throughout the bout as Sosa came out very aggressively and was able to land some good right hands. LaManna was giving better of the two-way action, which had the sold-out crowd very enthused throughout the contest.
In die tweede ronde, Sosa started to swell under his left eye. In round six, He started bleeding badly from his nose as the result of pinpoint shots from LaManna.

In round six, LaManna was dominant by scoring two knockdowns from body shots. LaManna was relentless in battering Sosa all over the ring with Sosa lucky to hear the bell to culminate the round. Both guys traded hard shots down the stretch with LaManna getting the better of the action. Every so often, Sosa was able to score with hard shots, but they were few and far between.
LaManna sat down on his punches and landed thudding blows as he tried to get the stoppage against the tough Sosa.

The Philadelphia welterweight secured his 13th win at the Durham Armory in North Carolina last Thursday, besting Robert Hill over three rounds.

Hill, a veteran of forty fights, came to Durham just one fight removed from an impressive upset victory over the Dominican Republic’s Eudy Bernardo (21-2, 15KO). After three rounds that included Ennistrademark punishment to the body, Hill’s corner declined to send him back into the ring for the fourth round, handing Ennis his 13th victory, and his 11th by stoppage.

I only got hit one time during the fight,” said Ennis. “I went in there, and had fun like I always do. He backed up the whole time. When I first came, I was touching him to the body a lot, and that slowed him down. He didn’t come out for the fourth round.

Ennis returns to the ring in the co-main event August 12th at Nations Fight Night at the historic Howard Theatre in Washington DC. Ennis will be the co-feature in what will be his first eight-round bout. “I’m thankful to have been so busy since my debut,” said Ennis. “It keeps me sharp, and I’m excited for my first eight rounder.
