Washington, D.C.. (Februari, 26, 2016) – MORGONDAG NATT, 27 februari,King’s Promotions returns to our nation’s capital of Washington, D.C with a big night of boxing at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
I main event, Ty Barnett take on former world title challenger Daniel Attah in a Super Lightweight battle scheduled for 8-rounds.
In one of the chief support bouts, undefeated Lightweight, Mykal Fox will look to stay perfect when he takes on veteran Claudinei Lacerda in a bout scheduled for 6-rounds.
Fox is promoted by King’s Promotions.
Fox av Forest, Maryland har ett register över 8-0 with two knockouts while Lacerda of Brazil has considerably more experience as he is 17-13-1 med 12 knockouts.
“My training has been great. I have had great sparring with different looks. I have been in there with puncher, boxers and even some MMA fighters, so I am ready for anything,”sade 20 year-old Fox.
Lacerda is a grizzled veteran, who has been a Brazilian Super Welterweight champion as well as the WBO Latino Interim Lightweight champion.
“My opponent has more than 30 slagsmål. He has been a champion, but this is nothing new. My last opponent (Adam Mate, 18-6) had twenty-four fights, so I feel it’s a great opportunity for me to continue fighting quality opponents.”
Fox, along with his father/trainer Troy, doe not believable that fighting such veteran fighters is too-much, too-soon for the fighter known as “Professorn”.
“My father believes in me and what I am capable of doing. I work hard and am always trying to move forward. I am on a great pace. Is it too fast? I don’t think so, because I also know what I am capable of. “
Fox has been building his name in the local market as every fight of his career has been in the greater Maryland/D.C area and he embraces the opportunities to please the home fans.
“It is always a pleasure to fight at home. I always have a huge turnout and it is a good way to build my fan base. I am thankful and excited. Camp is the hard part and that is done. I can’t be more excited to put on a great performance på lördag natt.”

Attah of Washington, D.C via Nigeria has a record of 28-21-1 med 11 knockouts.
Barnett is excited and honored to be headlining in front of his hometown fans against a former world title challenger.
“Everything is going great in training. Attah is a cagey veteran, who is a southpaw that fights everyone. He has gone the distance with a lot of good fighters such as “Chop Chop” Corley. He was an Olympian in 1996, but he is no threat to me,” said Barnett.
“It means a lot to me to headline at home here in Washington. I can fight in front a lot of my family and friends.”
Barnett knows that with a couple wins, a big opportunity can arise in the 140-pound division.
“This is just a steppingstone fight for me. I am not a guy who picks and chooses opponents. Jag vill kämpa någon. It does not matter.”

SAMPSON BOXING SIGNS UNDEFEATED SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT JUAN RUIZ TO PROMOTIONAL CONTRACT

Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing is proud to announce the signing to a long-term exclusive promotional agreement of undefeated Venezuelan super lightweight Juan El Niño” Ruiz.
29-årige Ruiz (16-0, 10 Kos) from Santa Teresa del Tui, has suffered long layoffs due to promotional and managerial problems in the past, but says his problems are now behind him with the addition of promoter Lewkowicz to the team.
A well-rounded boxer puncher who fights at distance and on the inside equally well, Ruiz had 220 amateur fights before turning professional in 2006. He held the WBC FECARBOX super lightweight title in 2011 and was once world rated by the WBA and WBC.
“I’m happy about this deal and really looking forward to showing the world what I can do,” said Ruiz. “I want to get in with top guys right away. I’m better than everybody out there, I just needed the opportunity to shine.”
Ruiz’s co-manager Ben Lieblein (along with Alfredo Rodriguez) says his fighter was always a future champion who needed the right team to get him there.
“Were excited and looking forward to getting him ranked and fighting for a world title, hopefully this year. All he needs is exposure. He’s a talented kid who had a lot of time wasted by bad manager and promoters. He will provide exciting fights first chance he gets.”
Ruiz is training in San Diego with Carlos Barragan, who also works with undefeated super welterweight Miguel Sanchez and undefeated welterweight Antonio Orozco, bl. He will compete in the super lightweight or welterweight divisions, depending on opportunities that arise.

“This is a very talented fighter who just needed a break,” Said Sampson Lewkowicz. “I will work hard to find him the right fights, so he can go to the top of the 140/147 divisions quickly. I am happy to be working with him and his team. This is going to be a big year for his boxing career. All he has to do is win.”

He won the WBO-NABO Super Featherweight championship with a 12-round unanimous decision over Aldo Valtierra on February 25, 2000. After winning the title he had three more quality wins over Keylang Umana (19-2), Ariel Nestal (24-2-4) and former world title challenger Ever Beleno (38-8) to set up a shot at undefeated WBO Super Featherweight champion Acelino Freitas.
Attah showed his toughness by going the distance with the Brazilian knockout artist, but fell short by losing a 12-round unanimous decision.
The loss to Freitas did not dissuade Attah as in his next bout he defeated Toncho Tonchev (27-1). Attah also has wins over Isidro Granados (14-1-2) & Marvin Quintero (20-2).

Sampson Boxning Tecken 18-Year-Old "Boxing Prodigy’ David Benavidez till Reklam Kontrakt

Arrangören Sampson Lewkowicz av Sampson Boxing presenterar stolt undertecknandet av boxning "wonder kid’ David “Red Flag” Benavidez till en PR-kontrakt.
Benavidez, redan 10-0, 9 Kos som en super mellanvikt professionell, kommer från Phoenix och är den yngre bror till den obesegrade interimistiska WBA-världslättmästaren Jose Benavidez Jr.
Betraktas som en boxningsunderbarn av många, Benavidez har tränats sedan två års ålder av sin far Jose Benavidez Sr. Han blev professionell vid 16, men var tvungen att bedriva sin handel i Mexiko till ålder 18, när han juridiskt tillåtet att slåss i USA. Den ultra begåvade unge har redan sparred med många av de bästa fighters i världen, inklusive Kelly Pavlik, Gennadij Golovkin och Nobuhiro Ishida för att nämna några Han har också tränat på Wild Card gym med Freddy Roach.

Den unge kämpen säger att hans relation med hans far har varit nyckeln till hans framgång.
“Det är en stor far / son-förhållande, Han är som min bästa vän. Vi är inte alltid överens om allt, men han är den som lärde mig allt jag vet, så jag är tacksam för allt han har gett mig.”
“Jag är verkligen glad över den här affären. Sampson arbetar med de bästa människorna i boxning,” säger Jose Benavidez Sr. “Vi såg vad han gjorde med Maravilla Martinez och han har varit runt i många år gör ett bra jobb. Vi är glada över att vara med honom.”
