VLADIMIR TIKHONOV MAKING PROGRESS UP THE RATINGS LADDER; RUSSIAN IS LUCKY NO. 13 IN WBA

Brooklyn, NY (Juni 15, 2016)– Russisk Vladimir Tikhonov, a super bantamweight contender, is the latest signee to the Dmitriy Salita promotional slate. And it looks like the timing is right for the Brooklyner Salita, with word out that this Russian hitter is making his way up the ratings ladder.
Tikhonov (14-0 med 8 KOS) has entered the WBA world rankings at No. 13.

Han blev professionel i 2008, has fought once outside Russia, and Salita is looking to get him some more passport stamps.

A blood and guts warrior who gives fans their monies worth every time he enters the squared circle, Del Valle has an outstanding 20-2 rekord med 15 vinder ved knockout. I november 2015, the Bayamon native stopped 50-plus fight veteran Jose Juan Beltran after two rounds in Comerio, Puerto Rico. Currently signed to an exclusive promotional contract with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, Del Valle has his sights set on another big fight but first must conquer the task at hand.

Born and raised in New Haven, CT, Crespo is riding a wave of confidence having defeated Jorge Abiague (9-1) for the New England super bantamweight championship last November. Crespo’s professional ledger is a deceptive 6-2-3 med 2 KO’s but he’s unbeaten in his last five, facing two undefeated fighters in the process.

If victorious, Del Valle is expected to appear in a televised bout in the immediate future. While some potentially view this fight as a given for Del Valle prior to bigger and better things, the 29-year-old knows that records don’t tell the whole story and Crespo’s hunger can’t be overlooked.

“I’ve got big plans but that all goes out the window if I don’t do what I have to against Crespo,” Del Valle said from his training camp in Puerto Rico. “Anybody who really knows boxing understands that a record doesn’t determine how good a fighter is. I’ve seen Crespo before. He’s tough and willing to take on anybody which is evident by the fact that he’s facing me rather than a lesser opponent. I’m training like I’m the underdog since this fight is close to his hometown and I’ve got a lot on the line.”

Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing proudly announces the IBF has agreed to sanction a super bantamweight voluntary elimination fight between their #7 contender Jonathan Guzman and #14, Daniel Rosas for the #2 position in their ratings.
Under the IBF rules criteria, two of the top five available contenders can compete in a voluntary elimination fight for the second-highest spot in the ratings. Guzman (20-0, 20 KOS) from Santo Domingo, Den Dominikanske Republik, and Rosas (20-2-1, 12 KOS) from Mexico City, are Sampson Boxing promotional stablemates. Team Ruiz Sets Sights on Carl Frampton
Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing wishes to congratulate the fighter he co-promotes (along with Oswaldo Kuchle of Promociones Del Pueblo), Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz, for his title winning victory på lørdag nat.
Fighting on the Showtime-televised co-main event last Saturday (Februar 27) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, Ruiz (36-3, 32 KOS) gained revenge against Julio Cesar Ceja and took back his WBC World Super Bantamweight Championship via TKO 1 (:51 sekunder).
“Hugo was the fighter I knew he was tonight,” said a happy Lewkowicz. “In the first fight, he gave this guy too much respect. This time he came out looking to destroy him and he did.”
Ruiz and Ceja met for the first time last August. A big left hook in the third round had Ceja nearly out, but Ceja landed his own hook in the fifth and ended up with a TKO victory, sekunder senere.
In the rematch på lørdag, Ruiz dropped Ceja with one of his first few punches, sending him down hard and injuring his ankle. Ceja rose but the follow-up barrage ended matters for good.
Lewkowicz says the future is now bright for his 29-year-old fighter from Los Mochis, Mexico.
“Ceja is crying for a third fight, but we are not looking at that,” sagde Lewkowicz. “Except for one lucky punch in the first fight, Hugo has dominated him every round. We are more interested in one of the other super bantamweight champions in this exciting division.”
Lewkowicz says there’s a unification fight he wants above all the rest for Ruiz. “I enjoy a good working relationship with the team behind now-unified champion Carl Frampton. We would be willing to travel to Europe to make that sensational fight happen.”

Salita Promotions Signs Russian Super Bantamweight Vladimir Tikhonov

Promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of undefeated super bantamweight prospect Vladimir Tikhonov to a promotional contract.

As an amateur boxer who finished with a record of 85-15, Tikhonov was a gold medallist at the 2008 All-Russia Class A Tournament 2008 in Togliatti and a silver medallist in 2007 and was recognized as the best boxer of the tournament. He has also been given the designation as a Sport Master of Russia.
Tikhonov has had only 13 slagsmål in eight years and ventured out of his native country only once as a professional. Promoter Salita says that’s about to change.

Salita says Tikhonov’s first fight under his promotional banner will be announced shortly, but the focus will be on securing him a shot against one of the division’s best including WBA Champions Guillermo Rigondeaux and Scott Quigg, as well as IBF Champion Carl Frampton and WBO boss Nonito Donaire.

“The Ghost” who once fought at super-bantamweight (122 lbs) successfully moved up several weight classes to compete at welterweight, winning multiple world titles along the way, becoming one of boxing’s most notable warriors. Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing is proud to announce the signing of formidable super bantamweight contender Daniel “Bad Boy” Rosas to a promotional agreement.
Roses (20-2-1, 12 KOS), af Mexico City, is a two-time world title challenger and former WBO Youth Super Flyweight and WBC Caribbean Boxing Federation (CABOFE) Super Flyweight Champion.
A tough, toe-to-toe slugger with fast hands and a penchant for body punching, 26-year-old Rosas says he’s happy to be joining the Sampson Boxing stable.
