King’s Promotions announces 14 dates for 2018

Fights cards at 2300 Arena, Sands Bethlehem Event Center and SugarHouse Casino
Pagbabasa, PA (Disyembre 18, 2017) – Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions is pleased to announce that the company will stage at least 14 events in Pennsylvania in 2018.
The dates will be spread out over three of the premiere venues in the state.
Ang 2300 Arena and SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia as well as the Sands Bethlehem Event Center will stage the fight cards which will be seen live on national television.
I want to thank these three tremendous venues for the opportunity to bring the best fights to the fans in Eastern Pennsylvania. We have built up a great following in all of these places, and over the past three years or so we have been the busiest promoter in the country. 2018 will be the same. King’s Promotions continues to grow and, we are working on dates all over the country,” said King’s Promotions President Marshall Kauffman.
The 1st event will take place on Pebrero 13 sa The Sands Bethlehem Kaganapan Center.

Piladelpya, Penn. (Hulyo 10, 2017)–Undefeated super middleweight Devar Ferhadi will take on his toughest test when he takes on battle tested Antowyan Aikens in the eight-round main event of a great night of boxing on Biyernes, August 11th sa The SugarHouse Casino sa Piladelpya.

Ferhadi of Frederick, Maryland was born in Iraq, and has amassed a perfect mark of 7-0 with six knockouts.
Ferhadi has one of the unique stories in the sport as he spends about eight months out of the year as a medical student in Kurdastad, Irak.
Ang 22 year-old began fighting at age 14 and went 10-2 bilang isang baguhan. He lost in an Olympic qualifying tournament.
He started coming to the United States, and his whole family still resides in Iraq.
This will be Ferhadi’s first fight in almost a year when he stopped Christopher Petty in three rounds on August 19m 2016 in Crystal City, Virginia.
Aikens ng Atlantic City, New Jersey ay may rekord ng 11-3-1 may isa knockout.

Piladelpya, PA. (Marso 11, 2017) – Tyrone Brunson won a 8-round split decision over Bandon Quarles in the main event of a 8-bout card in front of a packed house at the SugarHouse Casino.
The show was promoted by King’s Promotions.
It was a action filled fight that saw both guys be the aggressor at different stages of the fight. Brunson showed a more versatile side of him, that many boxing fans haven;t seen in years from him. One which differed from the prodigious knockout puncher that Brunson was known for when he knocked out the 1st 19 fighters he faced in the 1st round.
This Brunson used his legs to set up punches off of the jab, which he also landed several times with power behind that stick. Quarles was very game as he had his moments and landed hard shots that kept Brunson honest. Brunson landed more and harder, and he came out with the victory by scores of 78-74 at 77-75. Quarles took a card at 77-75.
Brunson of Philadelphia is now 24-6-2. Quarles of Alexandria, Virginia ay 18-4-1.

A late point deduction cost David Gonzales a split decision as he dropped the six-round bout to Juan Rodriguez in a junior welterweight bout
It was a tough grind-it-out fight until Gonzales was deducted a point in the 30 seconds for holding for holding.

Rodriguez of Haymarket, Virginia won two cards 58-55 at 57-56, while Gonzales of Philadelphia took a card 57-56.

Rodriguez is 7-6-1. Gonzales is 8-2-2.

Carlos Roasrio got off the floor but scored a 3rd round stoppage over Lance Williams in a scheduled 6-round lightweight bout.

Rosario scored a knockdown in round two from a right hand. Seconds later, it was Williams who floored Rosario with a hard right in the corner. Sa pag-ikot ng tatlong, Rosario decked Williams with a hard left hook. Williams got to his feet, but referee Steve Smoger stopped the bout at 46 segundo ng tatlong round.

Victor Vazquez scored a 1st round stoppage over Mike Fowler in a scheduled 6-round super lightweight bout.

Vazquez was all over Fowler and dropped him with a left in the corner. Fowler could not beat the 10-count at 1:38.

Vazquez of Yonkers, NY is 7-2 may 3 knockouts. Fowler of Milwaukee, WI is 5-7.

Sam Oropeza made an emphatic pro debut as he needed just 35 seconds to destroy fellow pro debuter Joe Parkinson in their cruiserweight bout.

Oropeza landed a left that dropped Parkinson. The back of Parkinson’s head crashed on the canvas, and he was knocked out cold for several moments before ringside physicians were able to to get him to his feet.

Brandon Robinson won a 4-round unanimous decision over Lamont McLaughlin in a light heavyweight bout.

Robinson dropped McLaughlin in round three and cruised home to a victory by 40-35 card.

Robinson of Philadelphia is 2-1. McLaughlin of Philadelphia was making his pro debut.

Vincent Floyd stopped Blaine Donkor in round two of their scheduled 4-round welterweight bout.

Floyd landed a hard flurry that forced referee Steve Smoger to stop the bout at 1:48.

Floyd of Philadelphia is now 2-2-1 may isa knockout. Donkor of Washington, D.C. was making his pro debut.

Edward Ortiz and Sharif Jones battled to a 4-round spirited draw in a super middleweight bout.
Ortiz of San Antonio, TX ay 3-0-2. Jones of Philadelphia is 0-1-1.

I have been working on getting better on defense, boksing, just my balance and skills.

I don’t know much other then he is tough, and comes to fight. He isn’t the most skilled fighter, but I hear he hits hard. But you can never underestimate any fighter.
Gonzales views the Teah fight as just a slight setback and a learning experience, and he doesn’t feel that he was knocked too far off track of realizing his goals.
I just want to get back in the win column. Then maybe two more wins and fight an undefeated fighter, so I can move up the rankings. I am a confident fighter. I just got caught with a punch behind the head against Teah, and that’s boxing.
I just want people to know that I am back, and ready for a big win ito Sabado. I just want to keep getting better and become a world champion.

Brunson of Philadelphia has a record of 23-6-2, may 22 knockouts.
Ang 32 year-old Brunson turned professional in 2005, and started his career with 19 consecutive 1st round knockouts. Included in that streak was a stoppage over James Morrow (8-1-2). In his last bout Brunson and Ismael Garcia fought to a 10-round draw on October 14, 2016 sa Philadelphia.
My camp has been great,” said Brunson. “I don’t know much about Quarles, but I am coming to work. I don’t know if he will be putting in the work that I will on March 11.
Brunson, who a decade ago was destined for greatness, believes a win will put him right back in the mix for a title shot.
This win would put me closer to my dream. Weather it is fighting for the USBA title or the NABF, I know something big will come after this.

Undefeated Super Lightweight, Milton Santiago Jr. takes on Ken Alvarez at the Inaugural fight card at the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia

Piladelpya, PA (Agosto 25, 2016)–Undefeated super lightweight prosepct Milton Santiago Jr. will see a lot of familiar faces when he takes on Ken Alvarez at the SugarHouse Casino ito Biyernes ng gabi sa Piladelpya.
Santiago, still just nineteen years-old, will headline for the first time since his professional debut 30 months ago as he has established himself as a big ticket seller in the Philadelphia.
According to his handlers at Battlestrong Boxing, this is by far the most tickets that young Santiago has sold in what will be his 15th outing.
The demand has been off the charts, ” said Santiago’s co-manager Moz Gonzalez. Gonzalez, along with his partner Eddie Woods are scrambling around looking for more tickets for Santiago’s many fans.
It is a great problem to have. We sold out our allotment of tickets very quickly and we are looking for tickets as we keep taking calls from people who want to come sa Biyernes.”
Everything is good. I am on weight, and now I am getting ready for the fun part and that is to fight,” said Santiago.
In Alvarez, he is fighting a capable opponent who has a record of 7-4-2 may tatlong knockouts. Alvarez was undefeated in his first eight bouts that included big wins over undefeated Kevin Nieves (6-0) and Israel Arellano (7-1).
I know he is from the Dominican Republic. He is tough, In-shape and comes to fight, so I have to be prepared for anything.
Santiago is excited to once again have top-billing. He cites many reason’s for the extreme interest in this bout.
It feels awesome to be the headliner. Everyone is coming to watch you, and it’s a blessing and I know have to show the people what I got. It’s terrific to be the first headliner at the SugarHouse. I feel that Philly fans come to support their own. My record is continuing to grow and be built and I am back with my father training me, so I think there are plenty of good reasons for the great support I will have sa Biyernes.”
Santiago expects to fight a couple more times this year and with a big win sa Biyernes, he sees the competition to be stepped and bigger rewards on the way.
I am hoping to fight for a small title by the end of the year. Then next year, I am looking to get ranked and fighting ten round bouts. All that will help my name get out more. I just want to thank everyone for their support and I am looking to impress everybody.
