Paul And Fury Put Their Undefeated Pro Boxing Records on the Line

Paul and Fury will headline aShowtime PPV événement surSamedi, Décembre 18 auAmalie Arena à Tampa, Fla. The main event bout will be contested at a 192-pound catchweight, as Paul continues to challenge himself and deliver on his promise to disrupt the combat sports industry.

On the heels of an impressive performance against former mixed martial arts world champion Tyron Woodley in August, Paul looks forward to his fifth professional boxing match as he takes a sizable step up in competition and puts his undefeated record on the line. Paul, the social media sensation, has garnered unprecedented attention for a young boxer since he entered the ring against NBA star Nate Robinson and defeated him with a show-stopping knockout that made headlines around the world. Paul is now taking the next step in his young career as he goes afterLove Island reality TV star Fury, the younger brother of WBC Heavyweight World Champion Tyson Fury.

Paul and Fury will meet for the first time since their fight was announced on Saturday, Novembre 6 in Las Vegas and will make an additional appearance in Tampa on Monday, Novembre 8. More details on both events to follow.

The 24-year-old Paul (4-0, 3 KOs) is a world-renowned content creator. He began his professional boxing journey in January 2020 and has proven to be an influential participant in the sport’s landscape with his outsized personality and quickly developing skill set. The Cleveland-native is fighting out of Puerto Rico under the eye of former boxing cruiserweight contender and world title challenger B.J. Fleurs, who has been training Paul from his first professional fight. After knocking out British YouTube star AnEsonGib in his debut and defeating Robinson with a knockout heard around the world, Paul made quick work of former MMA champion Ben Askren in April with a first-round knockout. The win over Askren was Paul’s first victory over a seasoned professional fighter and he followed it up with an impressive performance against Woodley, arguably his most dangerous opponent to date.

“I started my professional boxing career less than two years ago on January 30th, 2020. Combattre de Manchester, Angleterre, Fury started boxing at 12 ans. Avec 12 combats amateurs, he won two regional titles and reached the U.K. national final in 2016. Fury’s first professional fight came in 2018, a win by decision. From there he proceeded to knockout or TKO his next four opponents and put the boxing world on notice. He has fought three times in 2021, including his U.S. debut on Paul’s undercard in August, where the 22-year-old earned his seventh victory against Anthony Taylor. Paul is clearly facing his biggest challenge to date in the undefeated Fury (7-0, 4 KOs), who comes from a renowned family of boxers and has been trained by British star Ricky Hatton.

HOLLYWOOD DU NORD, CALIFORNIE. (Octobre 26, 2021) – Double champion du monde invaincu David "Le drapeau rouge" Benavídez et son grand frère, concurrent de longue date José Benavidez, a présenté leurs confrontations respectives avant d'entrer sur le ring dans leur ville natale de Phoenix, Ariz. Samedi, Novembre 13 en direct sur SHOWTIME dans un événement Premier Boxing Champions du Footprint Center.

David affrontera l'ancien champion José Uzcátegui dans un combat d'élimination du titre des super-moyens qui fait la une de l'événement, tandis que José affronte l'Argentine Francisco Emmanuel Torres dans le co-événement principal de 10 rondes. Les frères Benavídez ont pour objectif d'impressionner les fans de leur ville natale lors des retrouvailles tant attendues en novembre 13, qui marquera leur première entrée sur le ring à Phoenix depuis 2015.

"J'ai l'impression d'être le meilleur combattant. j'ai les meilleures compétences, plus de pouvoir, plus de vitesse et j'ai plus faim aussi. ça va être une super soirée pour mon équipe. Je sens que je vais y aller et remporter la victoire par élimination directe.

"Beaucoup de gens à Phoenix sont enthousiasmés par celui-ci. j'ai hâte d'y retourner. Le timing est parfait. Pour moi, c'est le plus gros combat de ma carrière. Je suis prêt pour tout ce qui vient à ma rencontre Novembre 13.

"Nous sommes juste concentrés sur Uzcátegui, but of course there are bigger fights for me in the future. If I win this fight, I’m in the number one spot for whoever wins between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant.

“Facing Canelo would be a huge fight in the super middleweight division, but I have to go out there on November 13 and get this victory first.

There’s a lot of pressure and a lot of glory on the line, so I feel like they’re going to be the best they’ve ever been. I’m going to be ready for the winner next.

“I’ve been a pro for eight years already. I just want the biggest fights out there. This is the level I’ve been working to get to for a long time, and we’re finally here at this moment. I want to fight the best of the best and prove myself. I want to show that I’m the best super middleweight in the world.

“Uzcátegui is strong and he has a will to win, but I just believe that I have the better skill set. These are the types of fighters that I need to test myself against. It’s definitely going to be a war, but I’m going to come out on top.”

JOSÉ BENAVÍDEZ

“It feels great to be on this card with my brother, and to be making my comeback in my hometown. There’s going to be a lot of support for me. It’s a great feeling and I’m looking forward to giving my fans a great outcome.

“I had to take a break, but now I have a different kind of mindset. I just want to keep fighting, training and staying ready. I want to get to the top of the super welterweight division.

“The delay has just given me more time to train, more time to get stronger and more time to get ready. I’ve just been making the most of it.

“I’m going to be an animal on fight night. I’m coming for everything. J'ai faim. I’ve been out of the ring for years, so I need to make a statement. That’s what I’m looking to do November 13.

“We have a great team here. We all came from nothing and we all started this journey at the same time. We learned day by day and that’s what makes our bond strong. Without my team, I wouldn’t be boxing.

LOS ANGELES (Octobre 21, 2021) – Quintuple champion du monde Gervonta «Tank» Davis et percutant, prétendant poids léger invaincu Rolando "Rolly" Romero s’est retrouvé face à face jeudi lors d’une conférence de presse pour prévisualiser leur confrontation pour la tête d’affiche du championnat WBA Lightweight de Davis en direct sur SHOWTIME PPV dimanche, Décembre 5 au STAPLES Center de Los Angeles dans le cadre d'un événement Premier Boxing Champions.

La troisième attraction consécutive à la télévision à la carte de Davis le verra combattre son ennemi léger et franc Romero, alors que les puissants puncheurs de 26 ans mettent leurs records invaincus en jeu. L'événement marquera le retour de Davis dans le sud de la Californie après avoir éliminé Hugo Ruiz au premier tour devant une foule à guichets fermés en février. 2019.

"Je suis reconnaissant d'être ici pour donner aux fans un autre grand combat. Ceci est ce que nous faisons. ‘Rolly’ est juste là pour parler. Il essaie de parler pour gagner, mais il a peur. Je viens pour combattre.

"Ils ne parlent que de son pouvoir, mais cela est la boxe. Ses compétences ne sont pas à la hauteur des miennes. Il ne peut même pas parler de pouvoir, parce que tout le monde sait que je l'apporte. Vous pouvez tirer des balles, mais comment vas-tu te défendre quand les balles ripostent?

« Il parle depuis longtemps. Il essaie de vendre un combat, mais je vais lui montrer qu'il est con en décembre 5. je ne suis pas là pour parler, je suis là pour me battre. Je ne prends pas ça personnellement. Me, ce n'est pas du boeuf, c'est du business.

"J'étais en mission quand j'ai combattu Jose Pedraza pour le titre. Je n'ai pas fait la poubelle en parlant. J'y suis allé et j'ai prouvé que j'étais un mec top. Ce mec est juste là pour parler. Je vais parler sur le ring en décembre 5.

"Son entraîneur ne travaille que sur la puissance. Ils ne travaillent sur aucune compétence. Il n'a combattu personne comme moi et il va voir la différence.

"Je n'ai jamais refusé un combat. je n'ai peur de personne. Je vais combattre tout le monde. Je combattrai un poids lourd. Ce n'est rien pour moi. J'ai survécu à beaucoup de choses.

«Il est censé venir ici et vendre le combat. je suis censé gagner. Je préfère le punir pour 12 tours que l'assommer rapidement. Une partie de moi veut l'humilier, mais la chose la plus importante à faire est d'aller là-bas et de faire le travail.

"Ce combat est pour les fans. Les fans gagnent décembre 5. Assurez-vous de sortir et de soutenir. Je suis reconnaissant d'être dans cette position. Tout dépend de mon équipe et de ces personnes qui m'ont placé dans une excellente position.

ROLAND ROMÉRO

"Tout le monde va voir décembre 5, Je vais assommer Gervonta. J'espère que tu entends ça.

"J'appelle 'Tank' depuis 2017. Nous étions censés nous entraîner 2018 et il ne s'est pas présenté au gymnase. Il a fait ça deux fois parce qu'il savait qu'il se faisait battre. Décembre 5, tu te fais assommer.

"C'est juste qui je suis. C'est ainsi que je suis né. Je suis entré dans ce sport à 17 ans et j'ai tiré le meilleur parti de ce que j'ai fait. Tout le monde vient me regarder l'assommer en décembre 5.

"Il a une si grosse tête, ça va être dur de passer à côté. Il se fait retoucher par chaque adversaire qu'il affronte. Leo Santa Cruz le battait et Barrios l'atteignait aussi.

"Il veut sortir du ring à chaque fois qu'il est touché. Ça arrive en sparring et chez les amateurs. C'est moi qui ai dû forcer ce combat, parce que j'ai vu pendant des années que c'est un idiot. Il a fait carrière en battant des 126 livres.

"Il ne connaît pas la moitié des choses que j'ai vues et vécues. Je suis ici pour l'assommer sur le ring. Il est arrogant et essaie d'agir comme s'il était dur, mais je l'assomme.

« Manny Pacquiao a aussi un style maladroit, et regarde tout ce qu'il a accompli. Juste parce que je me bats différemment, est-ce que ça veut dire que je n'ai pas de compétences? J'ai mes propres compétences et ils m'ont amené jusqu'ici.

"Je ne vais pas sur le ring en colère, Je suis juste concentré.

"Ce sont deux grands combattants. Et quand je dis super, Je veux dire qu'à chaque fois qu'ils sortent, ils produisent. ‘Tank’ est un jeune garçon de Baltimore qui a fait un rêve. "'Tank' fait des chiffres record. Je lui ai toujours dit que ça viendrait en temps voulu. Je lui ai dit que de la même manière je vends des arènes, tu vas faire la même chose un jour. Il a eu de la patience et c'est ce que nous faisons.

"Ces gars sont l'avenir de la boxe. Je ne vois pas ce combat tenir la distance. Deux artistes à élimination directe invaincus. deux champions. Décembre 5, Je verrai tout le monde là-bas.

Dirrell (33-2-2, 24 KOs), a two-time WBC 168-pound world champion, won the title for the first time with a unanimous decision over Sakio Bika in 2014. Fighting out of Fresno, Calif., Hernández (15-4-2, 3 KOs) has faced excellent competition in his career, battling a litany of tough fellow rising contenders. The 28-year-old most recently scored an impressive unanimous decision victory over previously unbeaten Armando Resendiz in September. In addition to his recent triumph, Hernández has twice faced former unified super welterweight champion Jeison Rosario, fighting to a draw in their first meeting before losing the rematch. He has also taken down then-unbeaten fighters in Kevin Newman II and Thomas Hill.

“I’m having a great training camp for this fight coming off of my performance in early September,"Saïd Hernandez. “As always, the fans can expect me to bring an entertaining fight. I know that I’m up against a former world champion who’s accomplished a lot in his career. I’m just focusing on working hard every day to get the victory and everything that will come with it.”

The former WBC Super Bantamweight World Champion, Vargas (34-0, 22 KOs) will return from layoff due to injury when he enters the ring on November 6. The 30-year-old went on the road to the U.K. to capture his title in 2017, winning a decision over previously unbeaten Gavin McDonnell. Originaire de Mexico, Vargas made five successful defenses of his title, defeating top contenders including Oscar Negrete, Ronny Rios and Azat Hovhannisyan. His last fight and fifth successful title defense came via a unanimous decision over former world champion Tomoki Kameda in July 2019.

The Baja California, Mexico native Báez (21-4, 12 KOs) enters this fight the winner of his last three outings, all coming by TKO. The 26-year-old put together the winning streak after defeats to the previously unbeaten Carlos Caraballo and former title challenger Jason Moloney. Báez, who has fought professionally since 2013, will fight in the U.S. for the fourth time on November 6. Amongst his stateside outings, Báez dominated former interim champion Moises Flores on his way to earning a unanimous decision in February 2020.

“I’m excited for this great challenge on November 6,” said Báez. “I’m planning on giving the fans a true Mexican war and leaving it all in the ring to get the victory. It’s an honor to fight on the Canelo undercard and I’m going to make the most of it. This is going to be a toe-to-toe war, and I’m going to show that he’s not able to stand up to my power and aggression.”

Rodríguez (11-1-1, 10 KOs) burst onto the scene with knockout victories in 10 de son premier 11 combats. He doesn’t have the big pay-per-view numbers that Tyron Woodley has, or even a Ben Askren. Those guys sold tons of pay-per-views. No one has seen a Tommy Fury fight.

“There’s no real respect between us. I’m going to show that winning a UFC championship doesn’t mean anything in the world of boxing.”

TYRON WOODLEY

“I’m almost falling asleep over here listening to this guy. It’s disgusting how much of a clown people have to be to be recognized. He’s got the appearance of being about that action down, but I’m really like that.

“This is the fight game. You can say what you want to say and you can do what you think fighters do. Jake does all the things to build the fight, but we’re really here now. He’s getting hurt on Sunday.

“All the people around him have lied to him. They don’t want to lose their bag. They’re not pushing him. You can come out with that dumb robot, ce n'est pas important. You’re getting knocked out.

“I’m just really ready to fight. I don’t have any shenanigans or B.S. I should bring him some wipes to clean himself up when I knock him out on Sunday.

CLEVELAND (Août 25, 2021) – Renowned content creator and unbeaten pro boxer Jake “The Problem Child” Paul and former UFC champion Tyron "The Chosen One" Woodley kicked off fight week on Wednesday with an open to the public media workout before they headline on SHOWTIME PPV this Sunday, Août 29 from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

The media workout also featured fighters who will be competing in undercard action, including Puerto Rican star and WBC/WBO Featherweight World Champion Amanda « The Real Deal » Serrano, who will enter the ring in the PPV co-feature, ancien champion du monde Ivan Baranchyk and unbeaten Cleveland-native Montana Amour, who meet in a 10-round attraction, plus U.K. étoiles Daniel “Dynamite” Dubois et Tommy “TNT” Fury, who compete in separate PPV undercard bouts.

Rounding out the participants on Wednesday was 2016 U.S.. Olympian and Cleveland-native Charles Conwell, who will enter the ring for an undercard showdown prior to the PPV.

The Cleveland-native Paul will be looking to thrill his hometown crowd on Sunday night topping a stacked night of action as he takes on the toughest test of his burgeoning boxing career in the dangerous and accomplished Woodley.

JAKE PAUL

“I couldn’t have thought about a moment like this. I couldn’t have dreamt it. That’s why I was just looking around. J'étais comme, ‘how am I here?’ This is the city that made me and to bring this one home is the perfect crescendo to my boxing career that’s just starting out. Looking around and seeing friends and family, seeing this beautiful city, I’m just having fun. I’m trying to soak it all in because you don’t get moments like this twice in life.

“Tyron said he’s training like he’s fighting Mike Tyson. Floyd Mayweather is training him and you can tell he’s in shape. He’s got the six pack back. He’s looking good. He’s not messing around. This is his biggest fight ever and the whole MMA community is counting on him to represent them and to get the ‘W’. Malheureusement, that’s not going to happen. And when I beat him, there will be no excuses because he was being trained by Floyd Mayweather. Because Jorge Masvidal said he was going to knock me out. Because he took this camp and had a 14-week camp. He has no excuses.

"Je adore la boxe. I fell in love with it. There’s something about knocking someone out and cracking someone in the face. My whole life has been a fight. I never got anything handed to me so I feel like I’m at home. I feel like I was put on this earth to fight. And I like challenges. I’m driven by challenges.

It was passionate and you had people watching your every move and monitoring your every step. I’m just very grateful to all my coaches. Me, this is just a lot of fun. I haven’t had fun in a long time, to be real. I loved this training camp. It was one of my most fun ever.

“I don’t have any issue with Jake Paul. Only issue is he signed the contract. He’s trying his very best to play the mind games. But I’m a man. I don’t play kids’ games.

“There’s a lot of things in MMA you can get away with. In MMA you can make excuses like, ‘Coach, I’ve got to watch out for a kick or get ready for the take takedown.’ So we make all these excuses. None of those excuses are allowed.

“The times I worked with Floyd [Mayweather], he was very vocal. You couldn’t do nothing wrong. And that’s what makes him so great. In MMA we over-do it a lot, but it doesn’t always transition into power. It doesn’t always transition into accuracy. He gave me the foundation of how he beat everyone he did.”

AMANDA SERRANO

“Jake Paul is the main event, but he’s not the main attraction. I am going to make sure I steal the spotlight from him and entice people to enjoy female boxing and to understand that women can fight and put on shows, and showcase that we’re deserving of this opportunity.

“It’s a Puerto Rican champion versus a Mexican champion. That’s enough said. She’s young and hungry and wants my titles, but I’ve worked super hard for those titles and it’s not going to be an easy task to take them away from me.

“I bring excitement, knockout power, skills, and a great chin as well. I’ve been boxing since I was eighteen years old. Boxing is all I have known. I’ve dedicated and sacrificed my whole life to the sport of boxing.

“I fight for the sport of women’s boxing. It’s not for me, it’s for the future girls coming into the sport.”

Oy BARANCHYK

“I’m excited. I’m hungry and I’m ready for the next challenge. He’s never fought anybody like me. He’s never been ten rounds. I’m ready for a long-distance fight.

“Of course he’s going to try to move around a lot and box me. But this is no problem for me. I’ve changed my style a little bit. I will try to show everybody the new Ivan Baranchyk.

“We will see what’s next for me. Maintenant, I just need to fight Montana Love. We will see what happens after that.”

MONTANA LOVE

“There’s a lot of motivation from fighting in my hometown. Je suis très excité. I’m happy to be in this position. It’s very rare that these kinds of events come to Cleveland. I hope there’s more to come. It’s a dream come true to fight in front of thousands of fans. My friends, ma famille. I get emotional at times being here and having this opportunity is great.

“I just have to be myself on Sunday night. I’ve been doing this since I was five years old. I just have to pull everything out of my arsenal. Hopefully Ivan pushes me. I think he will push me so that I can show the next level.

“I’m just focused on this fight that’s in front of me. My only goal right now is to be victorious on Sunday night. Après cela, we’ll look to do a title eliminator after that and then I’ll fight for a world title.

TOMMY FURY

“This is my first fight in the U.S. But I’m used to it, it’s not my first rodeo because since I was a young kid I watched Tyson fight Klitschko and I’ve always been there on fight week and watched how he handled himself on fight week and thought when my time comes, which is now, I’m going to do the exact same thing. So I flew my team out here and we do what Tyson did, and it’s easy work.

“To be a Fury you grow up to be a fighter, and there’s nothing else. It’s fight, lutte, lutte. As a kid, you don’t do nothing else. It’s fight, lutte, lutte. And that’s all I’ve done my entire life. I’ve been around fighters. Everyone in my family does it and now it’s my time.

“I don’t feel one bit of pressure because there’s only pressure when you try to live up to somebody. I’ve said this time and time again there will never ever be another Tyson Fury. No one will ever come close. I’m only trying to do the best I can do. And as long as I’m being the best version of Tommy Fury, I don’t care about anything else. I’m only trying to do the best that I can do.”

CHARLES CONWELL

“I’m doing this in front of my family and my friends and want to thank everyone for supporting me. It’s going to be a major event.

"[Juan Carlos Rubio] is an undefeated fighter, 18-0. That means 18 have tried and not succeeded. But on Sunday night it’s a whole different story as he’s fighting a whole different type of fighter he’s never experienced before.
