Jack hit the ring and talked to media at Mayweather Boxing Club as he prepares to face Pascal in a bid to become a three-time champion and capture his second title at light heavyweight. Here is what the workout participants had to say Tuesday:

**BADOU JACK**

“Mentally I’m better than I’ve ever been. I’m hungrier and I feel like I did the first time I fought for the title. I’m always hungry, but I’m really excited for this fight.

“Sometimes losses make you better. My first loss was an accident, and I became better because of it. The loss to Marcus Browne, it wasn’t the fairest loss, but it’s made me even hungrier. I’m going to go out there and win the fight no matter what.

“People have written Pascal off a couple of times and he always came back. He’s a throwback fighter who definitely knows how to fight. He brings it every time. He’s got more mileage than me, but I can’t overlook a guy like him.

“I’m ready to do whatever it takes to win the fight. Je ressens 100% physiquement. The cut was cleared in March, and we’re way past that. I’ve been ready physically and this camp has proved that to me and my whole team.

“Pascal and I sparred before but it was a long time ago and sparring is way different than a real fight. I’ve fought bigger punchers, but you have to respect the power of anyone in the ring. Tout peut arriver. You can get caught by someone who’s not a puncher.

“I know that I have a lot left to give this sport. I feel like I’m young for my age. The break between fights and bouncing back from a loss have made me more motivated than ever. I’m ready to go in and give the best performance of my career.”

“Son dernier combat, il a fait 134, donc nous savons qu'il peut obtenir plus que moi à ce poids. Je vais dans ce sachant qu'il est un grand combattant que moi. Je vais juste apporter mon pouvoir et de capitaliser sur cette catégorie de poids et devenir champion du monde.

“Je crois que je suis l'un des meilleurs combattants du monde, mais je ne me pas à d'autres combattants compare. Je vais juste de sortir et faire le travail.

“Atlanta est ma deuxième maison. Je suis sûr que je vais le vendre sur.”

*Sur sa capacité et le caractère unique en tant que combattant:*
“Je viens d'un tissu différent de ces autres gars. Je suis passé par tout dans ma vie. Beaucoup de gens n'ont pas connu ce que j'ai. Si jamais je battre ce devrait être par quelqu'un qui a vécu ce que je suis passé par. Il ne peut pas être quelqu'un qui vient d'être la formation toute leur vie.

“Chaque fois que l'étape I dans le ring, je suis prêt à tout laisser là-dedans. Beaucoup de gens ont pas vu mes compétences complètes parce que je ne l'ai pas combattu un adversaire qui les a fait sortir.”

*Sur son potentiel dans le sport:*
“Le monde de la boxe n'a pas vu mon vrai potentiel en tant que combattant, ils viennent de voir mon pouvoir. Je suis le genre de boxeur où, si vous ne faites pas partie là-bas avec moi, vous ne serez pas là trop longtemps. Certains combattants aiment prendre leur temps. Je suis le type, si je sais que vous n'êtes pas à mon niveau, Je vais montrer. Le monde verra. Je vais me battre tout le monde.”

**BADOU JACK:**
*Sur son affrontement à venir contre Pascal:*
“Je suis excité pour ce combat. J'ai appelé Pascal la veille de son dernier combat et lui faire savoir que je lui enracinement. Mais ce sont les affaires à la fin de la journée. Je viens de reprendre mon titre.”

*Sur la façon dont il se sent à cet âge:*
“Je me sens comme un jeune 36 ans. Je vis une vie propre. Je suis toujours dans la formation de gymnastique et j'essaie de ne pas prendre toute peine. J'ai quelques années à gauche et je suis maintenant plus motivé que jamais. Je avais besoin cette petite pause. Je ne l'avais pas eu une pause depuis que je suis un amateur il y a vingt ans. Je pris le temps pour se détendre avec la famille et de manger de la bonne nourriture. Maintenant j'ai faim.”

*Lors de sa dernière performance contre Marcus Browne:*
“Tout le monde qui m'a vu dans mon dernier combat pouvait voir que j'étais plat. Mon instinct de combat à coups à ce moment-là. Il combattait un homme mort.”

*Sur Davis vs. Gamboa matchup:*
“Il est un grand combat. Gamboa est un peu plus, mais il avait l'air bien dans son dernier combat. Je suis un grand, grand fan de réservoir – la façon dont il se bat, sa vitesse, son athlétisme, tout. Il a le pouvoir étoiles. Il était sur mon undercard, maintenant je suis sur son. Il va apporter de grandes choses à ce sport et aussi longtemps qu'il reste concentré, il va être une superstar. Il est déjà une superstar.”

**LEONARD Ellerbe:**
*sur Davis’ la position et la progression dans le sport:*
“Nous allons tout le monde montrent comment il va devenir la plus grande star du sport. En 2020 nous allons faire sauter ce hors de l'eau. Nous avons été en mesure de sortir des sentiers battus. Voilà comment vous cultivez le sport. Nous avons fait un effort concerté pour le traverser vers le courant dominant; travailler avec les Ravens de Baltimore, son défilé, maintenant Atlanta.

“Notre plan est de rendre les plus grands et meilleurs combats là-bas. Nous allons appeler les coups de feu et il va être sur nos conditions, et nous allons laisser tout le monde savoir quand cela se produit. Tout le monde veut se battre réservoir. Il y a une chose commune quand vous parlez 126, 130, 135, et maintenant 140. Il y a un nom qui est commun parmi les combattants et que ce réservoir. Cela va être un grand voyage et mieux vous maintenant sur.

“S'il peut obtenir passé Gamboa sur Décembre 28, puis dans 2020 il va dans ce monde pay-per-view. Lorsque vous avez ce genre de pouvoir de star et vous pensez en dehors de la boîte, pas seulement les amateurs de boxe, nous allons faire les plus grands combats là-bas dans le monde.”

*Le Jack Badou:*
“Badou est le rêve d'un promoteur. Il est un gars qui vous donne aucun problème. Il en fait là des choses merveilleuses pour lui et sa famille. Il fait tellement de choses à tant d'autres aide. Il utilise sa plate-forme de la bonne façon. Il est un honneur de travailler avec un combattant comme lui.

“J'ai toujours su qu'il était un grand talent et parfois vous pouvez trouver les diamants bruts. Tout le monde cherche toujours les gars qui sortent des Jeux olympiques. Nous l'avons vu dans la salle de gym et il foiré vraiment un gars up. Nous avions un oeil sur lui et nous avons élaboré un accord avec Lou [DiBella] Et le reste est de l'histoire.

“Nous avons eu un revers, mais tout arrive pour une raison, et il vient de décoller depuis. Il est un grand combattant et j'aime le fait qu'il est toujours prêt à se battre le meilleur. N'a jamais eu à deviner qu'il est prêt à se battre tout le monde.”

**STEPHEN ESPINOZA:**
“Il y a des avantages et des inconvénients à la promotion d'un spectacle à cette date. Il y a eu beaucoup de succès la promotion de spectacles de musique ce week-end. Ce n'est pas pommes avec des pommes, mais il est l'un des facteurs qui sont entrés et il y a un moyen de transformer cela en quelque chose de spécial parce et unique de la base de fans de Gervonta.

“Il est bon d'avoir des boxeurs qualifiés mais nous avons besoin, pour la santé du sport, les gars comme Gervonta qui mettent les mégots dans les sièges. C'est la clé pour l'amener à Atlanta. La boxe est une partie d'une culture qui croise dans la musique et les sports. Il n'y a pas un athlète qui ne regarde pas un pay-per-view match de boxe. Puiser dans ce avec une personnalité comme réservoir va seulement développer le sport.

“Il y a une authenticité et une ouverture sur les Gervonta. Il y a beaucoup de gens qui ont eu des revers qui ne parlent pas à ce sujet, comme réservoir. Il prend un risque d'en parler et c'est la raison pour laquelle beaucoup de gens peuvent se. Ce réservoir est. Ce que vous voyez est ce que vous obtenez. Il est très réel. The undefeated Charlo (29-0, 21 KOs) is one of the most exciting young champions in the sport. He and his twin brother, Jermell, were super welterweight champions simultaneously between 2015-17 before Jermall decided to move up to middleweight. Charlo won the IBF Junior Middleweight title with a thrilling TKO victory over Cornelius Bundrage in 2015. He made three successful defenses, including a victory over current unified champion Julian Williams, before moving up to middleweight.

The 29-year-old has proven to be just as dominant at 160 pounds as he was at 154, with three convincing performances since moving up in weight. Charlo will be making his second defense of the WBC middleweight title and fighting for the fourth time at Barclays Center. In a homecoming defense in June on SHOWTIME, he successfully defended the title against Brandon Adams with a unanimous decision in his first bout since being elevated to full champion. In his last fight at Barclays Center he shared the card with his twin brother, Jermell, and came away with a hard-fought unanimous decision over tough veteran Matt Korobov last December.

Orlando, Florida’s Lubin (21-1, 16 KOs) was one of the fastest rising contenders in boxing as he quickly raced to the top of the ladder to challenge Jermell Charlo for the WBC 154-pound championship in 2017. Following a one-punch, first-round stoppage to Charlo, the 24-year-old Lubin has rebounded with three straight stoppage victories of his own to regain his momentum toward a world championship.

En février, Lubin became the first boxer to stop former champion Ishe Smith and is coming off a TKO victory over Zaharia Attou in his last fight in June on SHOWTIME.

“It’s unfortunate that Gausha had to pull out because I was really looking forward to that fight,” said Lubin. “Now I’m facing Nathaniel Gallimore, who is a very good fighter whose only losses are to top level guys. I’m expecting a very difficult fight, one that will be explosive for the fans, but one I know I will win. It’s my time to show the world I’m ready to be back on top of the super welterweight division.”

The 31-year-old Gallimore (21-3-1, 17 KOs) most recently defeated Antonio Todd by decision in August to rebound from close decision losses to unified champion Julian Williams and top-ranked contender Patrick Teixeira in 2018. Born in Kingston, Jamaica and fighting out of Evanston, Illinois, Gallimore put together a seven-fight winning streak before the Williams fight, including knockouts of contenders Justin DeLoach and Jeison Rosario.

“I’m approaching this like any other big fight that was in the works for a long time,” dit Gallimore. “I’ve been waiting for this moment in my career for a while. This is a stepping stone that can take me where I want to go. Lubin’s a pretty good boxer-puncher. He was on the rise for a moment and I knew about him coming up. Ça va être un grand combat.
