Russian Heavyweight Crusher Apti Davtaev Looking to Impress in his American Debut This Friday at Turning Stone Resort Casino

El invicte pes pesat KO artista apti Davtaev farà el seu esperat debut a Estats Units aquest divendres nit a la cartellera no televisada de dues vegades medallista d'or olímpic Claressa “T-Rex” Escuts (4-0, 2 KOs) defensa dels seus títols del CMB i la FIB contra l'invicte retador obligatori Tori Nelson (17-0-3, 2 KOs) al Turning Stone Resort Casino a Verona, Nova York.

Un recent signatura de Promocions Saleta, Davtaev (13-0-1, 13 KOs), de Kurchaloi, Rússia, s'enfrontarà a veterans Garrett amb seu a Filadèlfia “The Ultimate Warrior” Wilson (18-13-1, 9 KOs) en un aparador de vuit assalts.

Nova York, Nova York (Gener 10, 2018) — Victory Sports & Entertainment’s highly-touted Junior Welterweight fighter Sonny “Pretty Boy” Fredrickson (18-0,12 KOs) is slated to make his SHOWTIME debut on Divendres, Gener 12 when he faces off against Shohjahon Ergashev in the telecast opener of ShoBox: La Nova Generació a Divendres, Jan. 12 en viu per SHOWTIME (10 p.m. I/PT) de Turning Stone Resort Casino a Verona, N.Y.
Fredrickson will square off against the Uzbekistani Ergashev (11-0, 11 KOs) in a telecast headlined by two-time Olympian Gold Medalist Claressa Shields (4-0, 2 Nocauts) as she defends her WBC and IBF Middleweight World Titles against Tori Nelson (17-0-3, 2 Nocauts).
Fredrickson, de l'AMB No. 8 ranked fighter at 140 lliura, will take on power-puncher Ergashev in the former’s first fight since claiming the WBA Fedebol Super Lightweight title on Nov. 1, 2017 in Medellin, Colòmbia. The highly anticipated fight is part of a tripleheader event promoted by Salita Promotions. And while Ergashev is with Salita Promotions, there is no doubt who the “A-Side” of this fight is as the fast rising Fredrickson looks to solidify his position as one of the top contenders at Junior Welterweight and make himself a television regular.
“I am excited to make my ShoBox debut, and look forward to putting on a good show for the fans at Turning Stone and everyone watching on TV, especially all my family and fans back in Toledo, Ohio” Fredrickson said. “I know Ergashev is tough and he will be coming to fight, but I’ve trained very hard. Cada lluitador lluita diferent perquè pugui obtenir d'allà, sentir-lo i fer ajustaments a mesura que avança. No estic preocupat per ell de ser un esquerrà. M'he enfrontat a un munt d'esquerrans en la meva carrera i en els aficionats. Això és cap problema en absolut.
“Crec que el que em fa el boxejador més perillós en aquesta lluita és tenir l'altura del que faig i la potència dels seus cops i la velocitat i la manera de pensar, així. La meva forma de pensar és que jo no vaig a entrar-hi per jugar amb ell. Estic a punt per destruir.
“Els meus objectius per 2018 són la captura de més títols i per aconseguir baralles d'unificació. Vam tenir un parell de campions en la categoria de pes, però sembla que ningú està disposat a lluitar contra els altres campions. Estem disposats a fer el que sigui necessari, lluitar contra el qual té els títols. Estem disposats a capturar tots els títols sempre que els altres nois estan disposats a inscriure en les baralles.”

“El meu preparació per a aquesta baralla va molt bé. He estat treballant a la República Dominicana, però he tornat a Boston per acabar la meva entrenament. En aquest moment estem en 75% i apropant-se a 100%. Vaig a estar completament preparat quan arriba el moment de lluitar. El meu preparació i la meva estratègia em el tipus més perillós fan.
“Ho veig com cap altra lluita que he tingut abans, perquè tots els rivals és diferent. Cada un té el seu propi nínxol en aquest nivell, alguna cosa que funciona per a ells. El seu nínxol és que ell és alt. Ell usa al seu favor que. Però no és res que no pugui superar. He lluitat contra els tipus alts abans.
“Prefereixo que els meus oponents a ser més alt. Es juga en el que jo sóc capaç de fer. Mai he tingut un problema amb oponents més alts. Abner Cotto (5-10) és un dels tipus alts que vaig lluitar. Vaig lluitar a Chicago i posar en un gran rendiment. (Fortuna va anotar una 5º KO rodó contra Cotto)

HOUSTON (Set. 29, 2017) – Unbeaten champion Jermell "Iron Man" Charlo visited the Houston Food Bank el divendresto meet with volunteers and help prepare boxes of goods for victims of Hurricane Harvey alongside his twin brotherJermall Charlo and Houston-based world champion Erislandy “The American Dream” Lara. “When they asked me if I was available to come to the Houston Food Bank to volunteer, I didn’t even hesitate. I was in. No matter how busy I am with training camp, I always have time to help for a good cause.

 

“Houston has suffered with Hurricane Harvey. I’ve seen the devastation. Coming to the Food Bank with my wife today is my little grain of sand to help a bigger cause. I come from Cuba, an island that it’s often battered by storms. I’ve seen people lose a lot to Mother Nature. I feel for them.

 

“I don’t think my preparation for this fight has been affected by what happened here in Houston [Hurricane Harvey]. I have endured so much in my life. I had to escape from my homeland to pursue my dream of becoming a professional boxer. I defied the odds and I became a world champion. I got here with hard work and discipline. I’m focused. Nothing distracts me.

“Erickson Lubin is a crafty young fighter. He’s strong. He’s got some skills. He’s got pop. We’re just going to have to dog it out. Best man wins. Whoever’s in the best shape, whoever’s the strongest fighter, whoever lands the best punches is going to win the fight.

 

“I’m a vet. I’ve been in the game professionally ten years. I grew up in the amateurs. I’ve got the height, I’ve got the size, I’m stronger, I’m faster.

 

“I’ve fought three southpaws. I’ve knocked them all out. I’ve knocked every southpaw I’ve fought out.

 

“Errol Spence Jr. is the perfect sparring partner. He’s been one of the best sparring partners that I’ve had even when I’m fighting right-handers because of his dominance. He’s very strong, he’s fast and he’s punching.

 

“I’ve got Houston on my back right now – me and my twin brother. If there were more fighters in Houston, we would be a bigger team. We do what we can to try to get boxing back into this city.

 

“Why not get a big fight? I’ve fought 29 baralles. I’ve fought a lot of prospects. My career has been built up. I beat Olympians. What else do you want me to do? Now it’s time to beat the [Miguel] Cottos and the Canelos [Alvarez] and the Triple G’s [Gennady Golovkin] and whoever else we’ve got to jump in the ring with.

 

“I’m satisfied with [entrenador] Derrick James. I actually like the fact that I have to leave to go to a different city to train because I can focus over there. I’m sitting in a home where I just train. I wake up, eat protein, back to training again and then rest. My focus is there.”

“I told my brother that this fight is equivalent to when I fought J-Rock [Julian Williams]. A lot of people are going to doubt him but at the end of the day they’re going to be in his corner cheering him on for the victory.

 

“I told Jermell to continue to work hard and keep striving because it’s going to build our legacy to that next level. It’s going to put us where we need to be to get the best opponents and the biggest fights.

NEW YORK – Setembre 21, 2017 - SHOWTIME Sports® will close out a banner year of world-class boxing with back-to-back Saturdays featuring heavyweight world championship fights live on SHOWTIME. The network announced today coverage of unified heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua’s upcoming WBA and IBF world title defense against top-rated mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on Dissabte, Octubre 28 en viu per SHOWTIME from Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Gal·les.

 

La Octubre 28 SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast will be the first of two heavyweight world title fights airing live on SHOWTIME on consecutive Saturdays, with WBC World Champion Deontay Wilder set to defend his title against undefeated contender Luis Ortiz on Dissabte, Novembre 4. Both main event bouts will air live on SHOWTIME as the network concludes a robust 2017 boxing campaign that will have featured 22 world championship fights, 16 bouts matching fellow undefeated fighters, three world title unifications, three world title rematches and the emergence of three bright young stars (Errol Spence Jr., Gervonta Davis and David Benavidez) as they earned their first world titles.

 

With the addition of Joshua vs. Pulev, four of the consensus top-five heavyweights in the world will compete on SHOWTIME in consecutive weeks. Joshua vs. Pulev and Wilder vs. Ortiz will be the ninth and 10º heavyweight world championship bouts to air live on SHOWTIME in the last two years.

Josué, the undefeated British superstar (19-0, 19 KOs), exploded onto the world stage in April when he defeated heavyweight legend Wladimir Klitschko via a spectacular come-from-behind knockout. In the year’s leading Fight of the Year candidate, a bout that aired live on SHOWTIME, Joshua picked up the vacant WBA heavyweight title to go along with his IBF belt. Ara, Joshua returns to take on the top-ranked IBF challenger in Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs) al 70,000 seat national stadium in Wales.

 

Josué, 27, has remarkably knocked out all of his opponents since turning pro shortly after winning gold in the 2012 Jocs Olímpics. The Watford, England native won his first title with a second-round KO of defending IBF Heavyweight Champion Charles Martin in April 2016, earning a heavyweight belt in the fewest number of fights in more than 20 any. He has since successfully defended the title three times – against Dominic Breazeale in June of 2016, Eric Molina in December and Klitschko in April.

 

Pulev, de Sofia, Bulgària, will be making his second attempt at winning the IBF world championship, having lost to Klitschko in his first try in November 2014.
