Stalking Ghvamichava from the opening bell, Lipinets found success with a range-finding jab combined with methodical and effective power shots to offset his opponents’ inconsistent attack.
Closing the gaps even narrower between himself and Ghvamichava, Lipinets continued to successfully walk down the Georgian (Rusio) native in the fourth round who was unable to avoid the punishing assault.
Lipinets struck gold in the fifth, dropping Ghvamichava with a brutal left hand to the body resulting in a knockout victory at the 1:40 mark of the round. Scores at the time of the stoppage were 39-37 Kaj 38-38 twice for the scheduled ten-rounder.
About the win, Lipinets said, “I’m really happy with the victory. We worked hard on that shot with my trainer. We knew we could wait and use that right hand at the right time and take it straight to the body.
“He’s a very strong, physical opponent. It was a real challenge to get him to where I wanted him. I wanted to get inside and use my speed. It was hard in the beginning to pick him apart, but we were able to get into a rhythm.
“I want to keep going up from here. I think I proved myself #?I-nokte that I belong at this level.”
Said a disappointed Ghvamichava, “Things were going according to my game plan. I ended up getting caught with a shot. I recovered and then he threw that big body shot and it sucked the life out of me.
“The rounds were competitive, but I felt like I was winning. I knew I had to keep my jab on him to keep him at bay. I knew he had a strong right hand, but he started to back up and I had never seen him do that so it threw me off.
“You don’t expect to be knocked out. We were letting the fight come to me and I thought I was going to be able to stun him, but he has explosive power. I should have been more cautious. I am going to learn from this experience.”

Fighting evenly over the first half of the scheduled eight rounder, Derevyanchenko found his range in the second half utilizing massive left hooks to the body to slow down the Sacramento, California native.
Sensing a finish in the final round, Derevyanchenko drilled Guy to the canvas at the midway point of the stanza and again shortly thereafter. Although Guy beat the count, the ensuing flurry from Derevyanchenko caused a halt to the bout by referee Michael Margado at the 2:24 Marko.
Scores at the time of the stoppage were 70-63 Kaj 69-64 Dufoje.
Stated Derevyanchenko, “I wasn’t surprised he was so tough. I’ve never seen any of his fights, but I didn’t think it was going to be an easy fight.
“His style was awkward. It was hard to tell where his punches were going to come from.
“I didn’t pick a specific round that I wanted to knock him out. I just finally picked him apart in the sixth round and then again in the eighth.”
In the opening bout of the Premier Boxing Champions on “FOX and FOX Deportes”, Undefeated welterweight, Kevin Watts of nearby Lancaster, Kalifornio, Plibonigita al 11-0 with four knockouts with a dominant fifth round stoppage of Michael Chudeckmi, (11-3-1 3KO’s), of Pozman, Pollando.

Originally from Poti, Kartvelio, Ghvamichava now trains out of Hayward, Kalifornio.
Representing his native Mongolia, Nyambayar won the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The 23-year-old turned pro in 2015 and delivered four stoppage victories, most recently knocking out Pedro Melo in the second round. The unbeaten pro now trains out of Carson, Kalifornio.
Born in Puerto Rico, but training and living out of Brooklyn, Vazquez fights for more than glory inside the ring. With an autistic daughter and a wife diagnosed with cervical cancer, Vazquez fights for his family. Getting a late start to boxing, Vazquez, who lost both of his parents at an early age and endured a stint in prison as a wayward youth, turned pro in September 2010. “It’s great to be fighting on PBC on Bounce in a heavyweight fight like this,” Diris Thompson. “I’m not looking past Malik Scott because he’s an experienced and crafty fighter. I think most fighters will stay away from a style like Malik’s but everyone knows I will fight anyone. I’ll be looking to make a statement against him by pressing the action and keeping him out of his comfort zone.”
“I’m very thankful for this opportunity and ready to put on a great performance,” said Scott. “It was exactly one year ago on this date, Oktobro 30, that I went to Australia and beat Alex Leapai and I look forward to getting in the ring and putting on a show against Tony Thompson. Tony is a world-class fighter and a victory over him will lead to bigger and better things for me.”
One of the most experienced fighters in the heavyweight division, Thompson, has twice challenged Wladimir Klitschko in his 15-year career. Born in Silver Spring, Maryland but fighting out of Washington, D.C., Thompson comes off of a victory over Odlanier Solis in February, his second over the heavyweight contender since 2014. He also owns a pair of victories over heralded heavyweight David Price, whom he stopped twice fighting in his opponent’s home country.
An accomplished heavyweight from Philadelphia, Scott has also fought professionally since 2000 and reeled off 35-straight wins to start his professional career. His most recent victory was perhaps his most impressive as he traveled to Australia and defeated Alex Lepeai. The 34-year-old also owns a final-round stoppage of Bowie Tupou in 2012 and fought undefeated Vyacheslav Glazkov to a draw in 2013.
A multi-sport athlete who has competed in both boxing and mixed martial arts professionally, Oklahoma City’s Rhodes looks to remain unbeaten on Oktobro 30. The 27-year-old is coming off of a competitive split-draw with Jared Robinson in June. Before that fight, Rhodes recorded four victories in 2014 including triumphs over Miguel Angel Huerta and John Nater.
An accomplished amateur who was born in Kazakhstan but fights out of Russia, Lipinets turned pro in April of last year with a decision victory over Franklin Varela. The 26-year-old has recorded six-straight knockouts since then, with his most recent victories coming over veterans Kendal Mena and Cosme Rivera. Lipinets will fight in the U.S. for the fourth time on Oktobro 30.
Fighting out of Minneapolis, Minesoto, Starks racked up an impressive 98-16 amateur record before turning pro in 2009. The 26-year-old has ramped up the activity since 2014, recording seven victories including wins over Carlos Galvan and Jeremiah Wiggins in 2015.
Fresh off a September victory over previously unbeaten Fernando Paliza, the 24-year-old Figueroa makes a quick return to the ring looking to build off of that success. The Puerto Rican-born fighter turned pro in 2011 and recorded stoppage wins in four of his first six fights.
