No card preliminar, Francês leve Mickael “Ragnar” Lebout (17-8-2, 1 NC, M-1: 1-0-0) meets rising Russian prospect Pavel Gordeev (10-1-0, M-1: 4-0-0). Lebout vs. Gordeev was scheduled to happed at M-1 Desafio 87, but Lebout was injured during training camp, forcing the Frenchman out of that fight. Lebout’s M-1 debut at M-1 Desafio 89 resulted in a win by first-round knockout of Sergey Faley. Gordeev is riding a three-fight win streak, all ending in unanimous decisions.

You have been training on the same team for so many years. How would you describe Mikhail as an athlete?

Volkov: “He works very hard as a fighter, completes all workouts to the end, and is among the last to leave the gym.”
What did you learn from him during sparring and training sessions?
Volkov: “How to work to the utmost extent, both in training and in combat. When I watch Mikhail train, he inspires me to work harder and not to be lazy.. We always have small competitions while training and we push each other to work even harder.”
Which of you is more helpful to preparing for battle?
Volkov: “When Michael had no fights, he helped me a lot, claro. In my training camp, he was like a wrestling coach, helping me work on physical exercises as well. I would say that during these last few years, he was more involved in my training than I was in his. Mas, now he has an upcoming fight and I’m fully involved in his preparations. SÃO PETERSBURGO; Rússia (Junho 2, 2017) — MMA estrela Alexander “Tempestade” Shlemenko apenas necessário 25 seconds to avenge a loss to middleweight Brandon “Touro” Halsey na noite passada M-1 Desafio 79 headliner at Saint Petersburg, Rússia.
M-1 Desafio 79 was a part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum’s Cultural Program. Nine different countries were represented in this International event: Rússia, EUA, Reino Unido, Israel, Brasil, Quirguistão, Alemanha, Coreia Do Sul, Ucrânia.
Shlemenko (56-7-0, M-1: 6-0-0) came out for the opening bell with force, unloading a series of powerful kicks and punches to the body of an overwhelmed Halsey (9-3-0, M-1: 0-1-0), who made his M-1 Global debut, and he was unable to make it past the 25-seconds mark of the opening round.
In this battle of former Bellator champions, Shlemenko gained revenge for his Bellator loss to Halsey, by way of a rear-naked-choke in 35-seconds, de Setembro 26, 2014.
