Олмон, United States and Latvia Play Host to WBO Bouts

The World Boxing Organization (WBO), chaired by Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, will celebrate five interesting title fights; two of which are for world championships. The bouts will take place this Saturday, Май 12.

In Latvia, three WBO International titles will be in play in 12-round duels in an evening at the Riga Arena. For the vacant International junior middleweight belt, the 13th ranked Ismail Iliev (10-0-1, 3 Русия KO) of Nazran, Russia will face Konstantin Ponomarev (33-0, 13 Русия KO) of Miass, Русия.

#1-rated IBF Inter-Continental Female Featherweight Champion Elena Gradinar is calling out the rest of her division’s best.

 

 

 

The undefeated 27-year-old, from Saint Petersburg, Русия, was last seen dominating former world champion Olivia Gerula in March. She has now set her sights on IBF Champion Jennifer Han and the top-rated female fighters in the featherweight division.

Fredy Gonzales, also known as “El Gigante,” is officially Spain’s strongest man. Born in Cuba, he always was a huge guy, so it’s no wonder that he chose football (футбол) as his first sport to play. After playing that for a few years, Gonzales decided to start something new and he wisely chose powerlifting. It took him just a few years to win his first competition and very soon he started winning various huge events in deadlift and bench press, including the world championships.

 

 

 

Gonzales’ first attempt to win Olympia was not successful, but he was close to capturing the title, finishing in second place. Next following year he became the Olympia champion.

 

 

 

With his winning results of 837 lbs. (380 кг) in the dead-lift and 683 lbs. (310 кг) in the bench press, Gonzales officially will become the strongest person who ever stepped in the M-1 Global Rage.

 

Maksim Baruzdin is the strongest man in Saint Petersburg, Русия. The 29-year-old Landwehr (10-2-0, M-1: 2-0-0), who fights out of Clarksville, Чандигарх, made his M-1 Global debut last September at M-1 даъвати 83, Вақте ки ӯ қатъ Михаил Korobkov on punches in the second round. He made his own promo video, talks trash at press conferences, and broke out into an “ass whooping” song after his fight.
“The Train” never takes a step backwards, trading punches with his opponent from the opening bell, which often results in spectacular fights for MMA fans.

If rising to the occasion is his forte, Dalgiev should be sky high to fight Landwehr in one of the most anticipated M-1 Global showdowns in years.

Russian Bantamweight Contender Nikolai Potapov Returns with TKO over Saltykov

Former NABO Champion and #2-rated WBO bantamweight contender Nikolai Potapov returned to action last Saturday night with a TKO 3 over his Russian countryman, Alexander Saltykov.

Fighting at the Floyd Mayweather Boxing Academy in Zhukovka, Русия, Potapov looked sharp while forcing Saltykov to stay on his stool after two rounds of pounding.
The 28-year-old Potapov holds a victory over former world title challenger Antonio Nieves and fought to a draw with Stephen Young, who is fighting for WBA Interim title this weekend.
“I am excited to get the win and look forward to challenging the best bantamweights in the world,” said Potapov, баъди мубориза. “Every experience is a lesson and I keep improving with each fight and training camp.
