Strongmen enter The Rage at M-1 Challenge 92 May 24 Sankt-Peterburqda, Rusiya

SANKT-PETERBURQ, Rusiya (May 7, 2018

) – The first Spanish Olympia deadlift champion will face one of the strongest Russian athletes May 24 M-1 Challenge 92 in M-1 Arena in Saint Petersburg, Rusiya.

Fredy Gonzales, also known as “El Gigante,” is officially Spain’s strongest man. Born in Cuba, he always was a huge guy, so it’s no wonder that he chose football (Futbol) as his first sport to play. After playing that for a few years, Gonzales decided to start something new and he wisely chose powerlifting. It took him just a few years to win his first competition and very soon he started winning various huge events in deadlift and bench press, including the world championships.

Gonzales’ first attempt to win Olympia was not successful, but he was close to capturing the title, finishing in second place. Next following year he became the Olympia champion.

With his winning results of 837 lbs. (380 kg) in the dead-lift and 683 lbs. (310 kg) in the bench press, Gonzales officially will become the strongest person who ever stepped in the M-1 Global Rage.

Maksim Baruzdin is the strongest man in Saint Petersburg, Rusiya. Starting his career in powerlifting, he won numerous medals and titles, tərəfindən vurğulanan 2017 World Raw Powerlifting European Championships, lifting 793 lbs. (360 kg) in the deadlift. Undefeated M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Artem Frolov (10-0-0, M-1: 7-0-0), who was mentioned by Fighters Only Magazine among the 20 top MMA prospects for 2018, will defend his title for the first time against American favorite Joe "Dizel" Riggs (47-17-1, M-1: 2-0-1). The 29-year-old Landwehr (10-2-0, M-1: 2-0-0), who fights out of Clarksville, Tennessee, made his M-1 Global debut last September at M-1 Challenge 83, o dayandırdığı Mixail Korobkov on punches in the second round. Landwehr’s last fight was this past November at M-1 Challenge 85, at which he won a split decision over Viktor Kolesnik.

Since his first fight in Russia, Landwehr has developed into one of M-1 Global’s most popular fighters, largely due to his fan-friendly fighting style, as well as his showmanship. He made his own promo video, talks trash at press conferences, and broke out into an “ass whooping” song after his fight.

“Qatar” never takes a step backwards, trading punches with his opponent from the opening bell, which often results in spectacular fights for MMA fans.

Landwehr (yuxarıda) is an all-around fighter who can ground or pound

Dalgiev (10-1-0, M-1: 7-1-0), Rusiya, qazandı 10 fights in a row since he lost his pro debut in 2014. Last November at M-1 Challenge 86, Dalgiev turned in a shocking performance, knocking out longtime M-1 Challenge featherweight champion Ivan Buchinger in the opening round with a thunderous punch that made him an instant star.

Able to defeat his opponent in a variety of ways, Dalgiev has won five fights by submission with three knockouts, including five opening-round stoppages. If rising to the occasion is his forte, Dalgiev should be sky high to fight Landwehr in one of the most anticipated M-1 Global showdowns in years.
