Peterburg, Rossiya (Aprel 10, 2016) – M-1 Challenge middleweight chempioni Ramazon Emeev won last night at M-1 Challenge 65 to advance to the M-1 Global Grand Prix Middleweight Championship, while undefeated challenger Alexey Kunchenkodefeated defending champion Murad “Ovchi” Abdulaev to become the new M-1 Challenge welterweight titlist, at CSC Sibur Arena in St. Peterburg, Rossiya.
Ramazan (14-3-0, M-1: 810), The 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, used a choke hold on his Brazilian opponent, Maiquel “Big Rig” Facao (35-9-0, M-1: 0-1-0), in their M-1 Grand Prix middleweight semifinals match. The main event ended at the 2:50 mark of the opening round as Ramazan advances to face three-time Bellator champion Aleksandr “Bo'ron” Shlemenko (51-9-0, M-1: 2-0-0) in the upcoming M-1 Grand Prix Middleweight Championship showdown.

Russian middleweight prospect Artem Frolov (6-0-0, M-1: 2-0-0) kept his unbeaten pro record intact, submitting Kristijan “Klichko” Kumush (8-3-1, M-1: 0-2-1) in the first round by way of an arm-bar.

Abdulaev vs. Kunchenko replaces the rescheduled M-1 Challenge lightweight championship bout between defending champion Mansur “Tarzan” Barnaoui va challenger Artem Damkovsky due to injuries suffered by both fighters during training camp.
M-1 Global has also announced an M-1 Challenge 65 match between former M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Maxim Divinich and M-1 Global debuting Robert Turnquest.

Salita Promotions Signs Russian Super Bantamweight Vladimir Tikhonov

Promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of undefeated super bantamweight prospect Vladimir Tikhonov to a promotional contract.
Buyon A pro 2008, the 25-year-old southpaw, from Saint Petersburg, Rossiya, sports an undefeated record of 13-0, 7 KOS. As an amateur boxer who finished with a record of 85-15, Tikhonov was a gold medallist at the 2008 All-Russia Class A Tournament 2008 in Togliatti and a silver medallist in 2007 and was recognized as the best boxer of the tournament. He has also been given the designation as a Sport Master of Russia.
Tikhonov has had only 13 jang in eight years and ventured out of his native country only once as a professional. Promoter Salita says that’s about to change.
Vladimir is an extremely talented fighter with excellent potential to become a world champion,” Said Word. “We are going to get him active and bring him to the United States where he can become known as a top contender in his division. I am very happy to have formed this agreement with one of Russia’s best up-and-coming fighters.

My amateur and pro experience will be important in fights against top competition. I am very hungry to show that I am the best Super Bantamweight in the world.

Salita says Tikhonov’s first fight under his promotional banner will be announced shortly, but the focus will be on securing him a shot against one of the division’s best including WBA Champions Guillermo Rigondeaux and Scott Quigg, as well as IBF Champion Carl Frampton and WBO boss Nonito Donaire.

M-1 Global extends contracts with Ivan Buchinger, Stephan Puetz & Lee Morrison

ST. Peterburg, Rossiya (Yanvar 27, 2016) – M-1 Global prezidenti Vadim Finklechtein has announced contract extensions for M-1 featherweight championJohn “Bu” Buchinger, former M-1 Challenge light heavyweight titlist Stephan “T-800” Puetz and top American featherweight contender Lee “Amerika Bulldog” Morrison.
We’ve prolonged the contract with M-1 Global veteran fighters Buchinger, Puetz and Morrison,” Finkelchtein said. “We constantly work on our roster to have the best possible fighters.
Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0), the 29-year-old from Slovakia, captured the vacant M-1 Challenge featherweight title in 2014, via a fourth-round knockout of Tural Raginov da M-1 Challenge 52. In his last fight this past October, Buchinger successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision over current M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Mansur “Tarzan” Barnaoui da M-1 Challenge 62.

Representing the famed Alexander Nevsky Club in St. Peterburg, Vitruk has a strong Muay Thai foundation. After fighting exclusively as a featherweight, Vitruk has decided to drop down one weight class and compete as a bantamweight.

M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramazan Emeev Named M-1 Global’s 2015 Yilning Fighter

ST. Peterburg, Rossiya (Yanvar 12, 2016) – M-1 Challenge middleweight chempioni Ramazon Emeev has been named M-1 Global’s 2015 Yilning Fighter.

Rossiya ikkinchi yarim og'ir vazn Alexey Kunchenko was selected as “Yilning Prospect,” paytdaM-1 Challenge 63 was the M-1 GlobalEvent of the Year.

Emeev (13-3-0, M1: 7-1-0), Rossiya chiqib jang, was a runaway winner as “Yilning Fighter,” garnering 84.5-percent of the votes to easily outdistance runner-up Viktor Nemkov(23-5-0, M-1: 14-4-0), the reigning M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion.
