ST. PETERSBURG, Larisi (Avril 10, 2016) – M-1 defi middleweight chanpyon Ramadan Emeev won last night at M-1 defi 65 to advance to the M-1 Global Grand Prix Middleweight Championship, while undefeated challenger Alexey Kunchenkodefeated defending champion Murad “Hunter” Abdulaev to become the new M-1 Challenge welterweight titlist, at CSC Sibur Arena in St. Petersburg, Larisi.
Ramazan (14-3-0, M-1: 810), nan 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, used a choke hold on his Brazilian opponent, Maiquel “Big Rig” Facao (35-9-0, M-1: 0-1-0), in their M-1 Grand Prix middleweight semifinals match. The main event ended at the 2:50 mark of the opening round as Ramazan advances to face three-time Bellator champion Alexander “Tanpèt” Shlemenko (51-9-0, M-1: 2-0-0) in the upcoming M-1 Grand Prix Middleweight Championship showdown.

Salita Promotions Signs Russian Super Bantamweight Vladimir Tikhonov

Promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of undefeated super bantamweight prospect Vladimir Tikhonov to a promotional contract.
Yon pro depi 2008, the 25-year-old southpaw, from Saint Petersburg, Larisi, sports an undefeated record of 13-0, 7 Ko. As an amateur boxer who finished with a record of 85-15, Tikhonov was a gold medallist at the 2008 All-Russia Class A Tournament 2008 in Togliatti and a silver medallist in 2007 and was recognized as the best boxer of the tournament. He has also been given the designation as a Sport Master of Russia.

M-1 Global extends contracts with Ivan Buchinger, Stephan PUETZ & Lee Morrison

ST. PETERSBURG, Larisi (Janvye 27, 2016) – M-1 Global prezidan Vadim Finklechtein has announced contract extensions for M-1 featherweight championJan “Sa a se nan” Buchinger, former M-1 Challenge light heavyweight titlist Stephan “T-800” PUETZ and top American featherweight contender Lee “Ameriken Bulldog” Morrison.
We’ve prolonged the contract with M-1 Global veteran fighters Buchinger, Puetz and Morrison,” Finkelchtein said. “We constantly work on our roster to have the best possible fighters.
Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0), the 29-year-old from Slovakia, captured the vacant M-1 Challenge featherweight title in 2014, via a fourth-round knockout of Tural Raginov nan M-1 defi 52. In his last fight this past October, Buchinger successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision over current M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui nan M-1 defi 62.
