Ramazan (14-3-0, M-1: 810), an 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, used a choke hold on his Brazilian opponent, Maiquel “Big Rig” Facao (35-9-0, M-1: 0-1-0), in their M-1 Grand Prix middleweight semifinals match. The main event ended at the 2:50 mark of the opening round as Ramazan advances to face three-time Bellator champion Alexander “Storm” Shlemenko (51-9-0, M-1: 2-0-0) in the upcoming M-1 Grand Prix Middleweight Championship showdown.

ST. PETERSBURG, Rúis (Márta 16, 2016) – M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Murad “Hunter” Abdulaev will make his first title defense, Aibreán 8 i M-1 Dúshlán 65,against undefeated challenger Alexey Kunchenko at Ice Palace Sports Center in St. Petersburg, Rúis.
Abdulaev vs. Kunchenko replaces the rescheduled M-1 Challenge lightweight championship bout between defending champion Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui agus iomaitheoir Artem Damkovsky due to injuries suffered by both fighters during training camp.

Salita Promotions Signs Russian Super Bantamweight Vladimir Tikhonov

Promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of undefeated super bantamweight prospect Vladimir Tikhonov to a promotional contract.
A pro ó 2008, the 25-year-old southpaw, from Saint Petersburg, Rúis, sports an undefeated record of 13-0, 7 Kos. As an amateur boxer who finished with a record of 85-15, Tikhonov was a gold medallist at the 2008 All-Russia Class A Tournament 2008 in Togliatti and a silver medallist in 2007 and was recognized as the best boxer of the tournament. He has also been given the designation as a Sport Master of Russia.
Tikhonov has had only 13 troideanna in eight years and ventured out of his native country only once as a professional. Promoter Salita says that’s about to change.
Vladimir is an extremely talented fighter with excellent potential to become a world champion,” Said Word. “We are going to get him active and bring him to the United States where he can become known as a top contender in his division. I am very happy to have formed this agreement with one of Russia’s best up-and-coming fighters.

My amateur and pro experience will be important in fights against top competition. I am very hungry to show that I am the best Super Bantamweight in the world.

Salita says Tikhonov’s first fight under his promotional banner will be announced shortly, but the focus will be on securing him a shot against one of the division’s best including WBA Champions Guillermo Rigondeaux and Scott Quigg, as well as IBF Champion Carl Frampton and WBO boss Nonito Donaire.

M-1 Global extends contracts with Ivan Buchinger, Stephan Puetz & Lee Morrison

ST. We’ve prolonged the contract with M-1 Global veteran fighters Buchinger, Puetz and Morrison,” Finkelchtein said. “We constantly work on our roster to have the best possible fighters.
Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0), the 29-year-old from Slovakia, captured the vacant M-1 Challenge featherweight title in 2014, via a fourth-round knockout of Tural Raginov ag M-1 Dúshlán 52. In his last fight this past October, Buchinger successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision over current M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui ag M-1 Dúshlán 62.
Puetz (13-2-0, M-1: 4-1-0), fighting out of Germany, is an electrifying fighter who won the M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion in 2014, Agus cinneadh á dhéanamh óViktor Nemkov ag M-1 Dúshlán 46. Representing the famed Alexander Nevsky Club in St. Petersburg, Vitruk has a strong Muay Thai foundation. After fighting exclusively as a featherweight, Vitruk has decided to drop down one weight class and compete as a bantamweight.
